Hi guys! I'm in the midst of creating my own headmold that I plan on using as an optional head to work with CP bodies. I've used air-dry paper clay and simple sculpting tools... I haven't worked on the ears yet but I plan to attach them later. I'm pretty happy with the face.. I want to go back and make the eye openings more narrow I also ended up working with the main part of the head so much the cap doesnt exactly fit anymore.. so I'll have to go back and adjust that! Anyways any and all feedback is welcom! I need to stop by Home Depot and pick up some fine sandpaper and order some sealant/putty when he's ready togo!
Thats so great I see you slightly got cracked eyelids... me too (though mine practically caved in) I'll have to go over them again... and remember the ears, I totally forgot about them on my SD head :P I'm using paperclay, what are you sealing yours with? I'm not sure what to use. I am in awe of your nose sculpting
Thanks That nose was apaint in the butt!! I'm using paper clay too.. I'm going to seel it with something called Mr. Surfacer (the same people who make MSC)... it's a liquid putty you can paint or spray on.. I'm following the tutorial made by Shuen~ http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41145 And this is her tutorial: http://noxiv.cool.ne.jp/dreamscreator/BJD/Otino01record/eng.html
Holy crap Neg, that's your first one?! The lips and nose look awesome! Can't wait to see it all smoothed and finished!
He looks great, maybe you want to change your medium to something like sculpey, which is alot smoother and less cracks. Great job!
I didn't like sculpey very much.. the cracks wer emy fault because I fiddled with it when it wasn't completely dry.. but its actually very very stong I'm thinking of trying laDoll Premiere clay.. I work better with airdry clays
