Aesthetics First full faceup!

Oct 23, 2018

    1. After continuing to screw around with her freckles, I eventually made a mistake and had to make the plunge to redo my Bronah's entire face for the first time ever. And I must say, I'm super proud of it!

I tried to take the advice from before with just my freckles on my other girl so I think it looks better than my first few attempts. The hardest part for me was that I found that my hand was really shaky, especially when doing the eyebrows and lower lashes.

So. How did I do? Also, just because I'm curious, what have you all found to be the hardest part about face ups?

    2. Omg she's so pretty! I love her! You did great! & to answer your question. I find the eyes & brows to be the hardest because you got to get those suckers even & symmetrical.

    3. The freckles are adorable! The lower lashes seem to blend in with the freckles though. The eyebrows look symmetrical and have a nice shape. I would suggest also painting the waterline pink, maybe that would help the lower lashes stand out a bit more. Overall, nice work! I also find fine lines of eyebrows and lashes the most difficult part of face ups.

    4. You did a really good job! I'm a sucker for freckles, and your girl looks so cute :)
Do you think you might add some more to her chest or arms eventually? My only critique is that she has so many on her face that it's kind of odd she doesn't have any more.
I haven't done too many faceups myself, but I struggle with the lower lashes. I don't worry too much about getting the eyebrows identical, cause my older sister used to tell me when you're shaping your brows to treat them as sisters and not twins. As long as they give a good expression, I'm happy.

    5. Thank you all so much!
I do plan on doing her chest and arms at some point. That might even even be today's project. :) I am a little worried that I'm going to have to take her apart though to get it to look nice/seal everything first. I didn't take my other girl apart to do it and sealing didn't come out so well...

    6. Those freckles looks really good! Is that the splatter method?

    7. It is! I really liked the way they looked in the tutorial video I watched. :)

So here she is with her body freckled.

I'm not as happy with them as I am with the face as some of them came out rather big and blotchy, but I've known people with freckles like that so I'm not too worried.

Plus, I got her this sweet jacket so I don't even have to see them if I don't want to hahaha

Barbie and Ken clothes are amazing. :XD:

    8. That is a sweet jacket :whee:
I think you did a great job on her body freckling; Love her hands!

    9. Thank you! I plan on giving her hands some proper attention at some point to make them look even nicer.

    10. Gosh she looks so cute, the freckles look great! I also find the eyebrows the most difficult, trying to get that balance of having them even but still natural takes so long.

    11. Oh my goodness, I love those freckles!:D I think they turned out very well, super realistic and adorable. You said you used the splatter method, right? I may have to do some for my girl her next faceup...
