Aesthetics First faceup time!

    1. It's been a while and I finally got a day with my sister to work on a blank head that's been sitting in my desk drawer for yearrrrrrsssssssssss. It's a yume yuri from dollzone. I noticed a few things already like: the one fang is whiter than the other, some issues on black liner brushwork. I noticed on some dolls the inner lip of the eyes is more white/flesh and I was thinking of changing it.

      Note: The wigs and eyes are temp fill borrowed in before I gather together the right pieces.

      I don't mind serious feedback. So please feel free to let loose!

    2. Ahh I remember DZ Yuri/Yume! Yuri was on my wishlist wayyyy back when. XD
      As far as the faceup goes, this is great for your first one! I don't see anything glaringly "wrong" with it. It actually reminds me of how I do eyelashes and eyeliner when I do faceups. I guess it's just a case of "practice makes perfect" cause I think they look very nice. :3

    3. The eyeshadow seems just a little smudgy, but other then that great job! Of course the eyeshadow thing might just be the lighting in the picture, I don't know.

    4. Thanks for the feedback so far. I agree on the eye shadow thing, what I wanted was more that goth gradient black to grey to something. I'm going to adjust that now.

    5. This is a little late and I apologize, but- the top lip looks just a bit weird to be? I think it's the lack of pigmentation; even the palest of lips have some. The nose also looks like you reddened it, but it also comes off as maybe a bit dirty- it makes for a cute effect imo but just glancing at it makes me think it needs to be washed!!

      Mind you, this is just stuff I see!! I think it looks rather cute so far!!

      (Admittedly, the main reason this drew my eye- I deeply appreciate the Popola icon omg)

    6. Hehe planning a full sister neir cosplay. <3

      Tried to fix up the eye shadow today. Getting better still not perfect. I actually started another head today that I like a bit better. I suppose when ready I'll give that it's own home. Also trying out some cheap make your own eyes. I do want this shape and found some dollmore eyes that finally fit what I want. So there will be yet a third eye. The top lip does have pigment but also a massive overbite on this sculpt. I do want the final doll to be male if it matters, but maybe I need to extend the top lip color out a bit?[​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]
