Aesthetics First faceup on a tiny

May 9, 2016

    1. I got this pocket fairy Roel from my sister. I wanted to experiment my faceup skills, but she's so tiny!
The eyeliner looks a bit messy, though it's mostly because of the size of the picture... and I'm surprised at how well I managed to draw her eyebrows XD
I also tried something new with her nails, but I'm not so sure about it. And maybe I should darken her blush a bit.

      What do you think?

    2. The eyebrows and nails are decent, but I do agree on darkening the blush or at least adding more. I'd also bring a little more to the eyeshadow. Not bad for a first faceup, though, especially since I suck at faceups myself!

    3. It's not really my first faceup, even though I'm no expert, but it's especially harder on such a small doll.
The cheek blush is subtle, you can see it's there but it doesn't photograph too well. I knew it but didn't wanted to give her red cheeks...
I was thinking of painting a thin (if i manage) line on her eyelids to give a sense of dept as her eyes are a little flat like that.

    4. I think with how dark her lower eyeliner is, it would be good to add a darker/thicker eyeliner on top as well. And maybe the top eyeshadow can go a bit higher since she has a wide eyelid.

Other than that I think rather than blush, maybe a slight peachy brown for shadowed areas (the connection between the eyebrows and nose) might help to accentuate her features. I quite like the subtle blush with the general faceup as it is, but maybe a more concentrated application of blush might work too, without overwhelming the rest of the faceup. ^^

    5. She looks so sassy!!
