Im not happy with the eyes!! but ill get better over time i guess ;u; please tell me how i can improve! Thank you for looking!

    2. Yours was defiantly better than mine!!!
A small tip which I can provide to you though is using watercolour pencils (not wet) for small lines/details (eyelashes, lip details, eyebrows). I find it to be way easier than using paint, you have no chance of clumps or a too thick line. Plus you can then use more colours for the details. :)

    3. Ahh thank you! i used water colour pencils for the eyebrows an bottom eye lashes, but my hand just arent steady enough! thank you again!

    4. *takes notes* I havent done a face up yet because Im afraid I will mess it up horribly.

    5. You should be congratulated for giving it a go. I think I might look at other face ups I like and draw them on paper first before I have a real go. I particularly notice how they draw the creases in the eyelid as it seems to make a huge difference and I think they rarely use black, it would be mostly brown black from my observations.

    6. I think you did a great job at the blushing and the sad eyebrows are very cute. Unless s/he is suppose to be wearing black eyeshadow though I wouldn't put that much black above the eyes. For lips I usually use a darker red in the crease and then gently blush the rest of the lips in the colour of my choice and then use white pencil to do lines.
There is a very talented face up artist that showcases her work on youtube. She only uses watercolour pencils like me and manages to get wonderful results. Have a look if you'd like:

Congratulations on taking your first step in doing face ups! You are doing really good so far! :)

    7. Black can be a fickle friend. IMO, it should be used very sparingly in face-ups. One of the best things i taught myself while drawing was, very rarely will you ever need black to shade something. Using black to shade often leads to a muddle effect. Try using plums or purples or dark scarlet to shade lips, for example, or think about using a deep umber or sienna for lashes instead of black, especially if your doll has anything lighter than medium brown hair. Your brows and most of your lips look so soft and lush, that the harsh black sort of...looks a bit stark, rather than complementary. I can tell by your blushing and brows, though, that you've a delicate hand to make it work~!

    8. the first step was great but for details I preffer watercolor pencils try it and post the second try ^^

    9. The blushing and eyebrows are gorgeous for your first go, but be careful with black, like others have said. On a pale doll with lighter colors it can look really harsh to have such a stark difference from one to another. If you're going for an eyeliner look, definitely try watercolor pencils. Personally, I feel like the pencils give you a little more control than paints, and easier to fix if you make a mistake.

    10. I feel presumptuous commenting as I am a newbie at it myself...I have found patience and sanding to be my best tools! Don't like it, sand again until you do like it. I really like your blush and eyebrows, and your lips were looking great in the second pic, some gloss at that point would have looked good! Eyeliner is so tricky especially with paint. I really like the painted eyeliner look too, so I've started with a thin waterline and gently added thickness. Go over tutorials right before you work, which is advice that I need to heed. I always get into it and then remember that I've forgotten what they said! :doh

    11. Your face up is pretty good :)
I suggest you to use black watercolor pencil to make eyeliner, would help you to draw with more accuracy, or you can use a pastel pencil and then make a slight coat of gloss on it, would works fine :)
