Aesthetics First ever wig attempt

Jul 31, 2016

    1. I used lion brand landscapes yarn in black to create a dread lock wig that has a half up and half down wig. The lucky wearer is Mirodoll Lili (Melody).
Constructive criticism welcome. Please be nice!

    2. Lion brand yarn is the best! I think your wig looks amazing. The part visible in the second picture and the hairline are both really well done, and it doesn't appear to be overly frizzy, which is a problem I've had in the past when working with yarn for projects similar to this.

    3. Thanks for your kind words. I can't wait to try again and get an even better look!

    4. Oh wow, she's gorgeous in your wig! Very well done :D
I think the hairline might be a biit too high, but that's probably just my art style talking - or perhaps how it was placed on her head. The hairline looks really good otherwise; it doesn't look like it's floating above her skin. I love it, super cute~

    5. I was going for a very slight jersey shore-ish pouf/bump. Thanks so much for all your kinds words.

    6. Oh, I just meant where it was placed on her forehead! I draw most of my characters with very short foreheads; so it's probably just my mind's eye playing tricks on me, heh. The pouf looks great, it brings the style together very well without being over the top.

    7. I plan on remaking it having learned from the mistakes I made. I did trim the hard cap too small but as someone with a large forehead myself I just said 'meh' and left it!!! :) hehehe

    8. Isn't that how it usually goes? But the next one is sure to turn out even better! You'll have to post pictures of that one too once you get to it, I would love to see it.

    9. Of course I'll be posting it but I dunno when I'll do the remake.

    10. The length and volume is absolutely perfect. Well done!
