Since I got my massive bag of fibers I’ve been experimenting with hardcap wigs, I’ve found they’re super easy to make! Here’s my first two, made out of tencel and silk Wigs and windows by Tybalt Courtney, on Flickr Wigs and windows by Tybalt Courtney, on Flickr The part is much nicer on the silk wig (the white one) but I think I actually made the thing too dense somehow getting the fibers to lay flat is a challenge on that one!
Those wigs look awsome!! Wig making is a lot of fun. The way I do the part (which makes it lay down naturally and isnt thick or bulky at all) is i glue two wefts facing each other and then seperate them into small strands let them cross/intersect each other. Its a bit flimsy but not too hard to do
Those are fun! Really like the contrast the white one has with the faceup and the dark one matches her eyebrows really well : )
I guess normal PVA glue or pva like fabric glue wirks pretty well. Waterproof fabric glue is what I use
I was looking for a waterproof option, will check out fabric glues in our stores. Thanks for the tip!
These look really good!! I recently got some tencel from the same shop - the quality of the fiber is so nice! I'm definitely going to be ordering more.
Im currently using a fabric glue by prym, but I've also used one by Wenco. Here in Germany where I live they even sell them at the supermarkets
