Aesthetics First attempt at body blushing

I finished my first go round at attempting body blushing on one of my dolls last week, and remembered to take a few pictures over the weekend. It's a bit less subtle than in the photos (bad phone camera/photo set up), and I'll probably go back over some things in the future since I'm planning to add some scars to this doll, but for now I'm decently happy with how it turned out! I definitely learned a lot about how to work with sealant and pastels on resin.

The bit I'm least satisfied with is the nails if I stare at them too long, but I'll just have to practice a bit more. I also re-discovered how the nails on these hands (Doll Leaves teenage dream 3, I believe) just... don't really have nails on some fingers.

 

@Sephora thank you! I think I might try watercolor pencils the next go round with the nails, since I've seen some people use those, and I think it might help solve my layers that are too thick problem, and then will probably slap some gloss on them as well.

@usvankynsi I had a very good time with blushing! I know some people don't like it, but it felt less intimidating than jumping straight to some of the other mods that I want to eventually do. I will say I learned a lot about how dusty my apartment is!!
