I've been putting this off for a while, but I gave in a few days ago. I've finally started working on making my doll. ^^; She's going to be around 35cm when she's finished, her head is size 6-7" and she'll probably have exchangeable ears unless I run out of Super Sculpy/money before I'm finished. As you can see I've only got her head finished right now, but I'll add photos once I finish more of her. With school coming though, my progress might be a tad slower than I'd like... My dad says that he's going to help me cast her in resin, but he isn't very reliable so she might not be cast until quite a while after she's finished.. Wish me luck?
What a cute little pixie face! She is very cute, and I even like the burnt eartips- they almost look like you meant to do that Good job
Thank you! I rather like the burnt eartips too, I'm thinking on keeping that detail in the final version.
I really like the contrast between the brightblue eyes and the color of the clay. The colors compliment each other really well, and it makes the eyes look more sparkling.
Thanks! The eyes are Lahoo's default eyes, but they look kinda creepy on him since he's so pale. Btw, I messed up on the body and made it too thin in the back so it is really fragile right now, do you know of anything that could work? I can't think of anything that'll stick to super sculpy.
Really? Non-baked Super Sculpy sticks to baked Super Sculpy? But how do you bake the Super Sculpy without burning the pre-baked Super Sculpy?
I added and re-baked my doll parts 3 of more times each! I just did them for no more the 15 mins for a thick addition, and 11-12 for a thin at 225f and nothing got burned. Don't know if that's helpful
Oooooh.... very nice. did you make the lower torso's ball separately? *trying to figure out how to make mine*
If this is the part, then yep. ^_^ I had to make it separately since I originally made the body as one piece. I can take some photos of the parts if you'd like. :3
Well, I was just about to take the photos, but the batteries just died. -_-; I'll have to let them recharge first so I should have some photos up by tomorrow.
OMG, sorry faeryn! I can't belive that I forgot to upload the photos! I'm really sorry for making you wait this long, I hope these are helpful. That small rounded part just sits in the lower torso right now, but I'll probably glue it in place later.
I just posted a topic on my home-made doll, but it has to be okayed by a mod. But I did post it on Gaia. =^w^=
