66cm+ Dolls FINALLY!!! Ringdoll Ashford EVO fullset

I ordered him on 17 September, shortly after he was released and as an early birthday gift for myself. He came to me exactly ten months later, on 17 June. As you can imagine, those were the longest ten months of my life. Thankfully, the doll himself ended up being perfect and 100% worth it! But he'll probably be the last Ringdoll I ever order, at least firsthand. >_>;;;

Fair warning, this will be long. But who can blame me for indulging myself after all that waiting?

To start things off, a box. A very, very heavy box that I hauled all the way home from the post office in the heat and humidity.

Inside, the classic Ringdoll box! It's different from the previous ones I've gotten - the lid is no longer magnetic, which is a bit of a bummer, but the cardboard has this nice luxurious texture to it.

Inside! All the expected goodies, including the free fist hands. Can you see his little toes peeking out? I have to say I'm a bit surprised I didn't receive any postcards or stickers, as I have with all my previous Ringdoll orders. Oh well, it doesn't bother me too much, and the little pamphlet with Ashford's story inside is nice.

I know some people got their fullsets with substitute wigs and eyes, since Ringdoll was apparently having production troubles with the accessories, but I actually got all the default stuff.

Now for the mian event! I got him in white skin and damn is he WHITE. Basically the same color as the foam cushioning....

After removing a looooot of wrapping, his faceup reveals itself! All that packaging sure did its job because his faceup is PERFECT. I'm absolutely bowled over by the detail. It looks just like the official photographs.

Standing up gracefully! As expected from Ringdoll, the sculpting and posing are amazing. I got the 68cm RGM-04 body, and it's nice and graceful and appreciably smaller than my RGM-02 boys.

Yes, he does have a jointed peen. No, I didnt take any pics of it.

Wearing his official eyes, 14mm small iris. They're fine, but I don't think they're staying. I have a lot of difficulty positioning small iris eyes and I'd prefer larger irises for the character he's supposed to be, to give him a more youthful look. I'm picturing a striking bright gold color as well.

Took a break for dinner, then got him dressed! It took me forever to put that outfit on, all those belts man... X_X But I really like it! It feels nice and has a lot of different textures, and I'm digging the vaguely Russian feel it has. I had no intention to use his default wig - I already got a pink Leeke wig for him (though it might be too big for his pinhead...) - but I put it on just to try it out and I'm kind of liking it? It looks a lot better IRL than in his official photos.

My whole Ringdoll crew together! From left to right, Qinzhe, Ashford with Wolf in his lap, and Meng He. Ashford is my first on the RGM-04 and the first in white skin. All of the others took half the time to arrive. It sucks because Ringdoll is my absolute favorite company and they're the ones who got me into the hobby in the first place. I still think they make gorgeous dolls and Ashford's quality is absolutely amazing, but I find the wait times to be unacceptable, to say nothing of the lack of communication (I ordered through BJDivas, not direct, but while BJDivas was always prompt about answering my questions they had a lot of trouble getting any kind of contact from Ringdoll).

One last glamour shot! His name is Mirage, and he's a demon with power over illusions and command of an airship. I'm planning on getting him horns and high heel feet (so he can wear these killer Dollmore boots I got haha). Basically, he's a flamboyant over-the-top anime villain who throws magnificent hissy fits whenever the heroes outsmart him (which happens more often than not).

Thank you everyone! I really love him a lot, I just can't stop staring at his gorgeous faceup and playing with his clothes and patting his head, haha. Just out of sheer disbelief that he's finally here with me! I'll hopefully get to do a real photoshoot with him soon!
