It is a very fine wool of some sort. I bought an old rug at Goodwill a while back, and I have been cutting the fur off to make wigs..

 

Well, well, you've done a good job with giving her baby fine locks. She's such a lucky baby.

Hi Looks like a really old thread, just thought I'd post that I bought a small comfort. they are available from NSdollshop I think they its called and also from Storewithstory on Ebay.

 

I can't seem to locate ns doll shop, but I found the store with story ebay page, Not really sure how a place that sells mostly body wash and stuff like that got their hands on a few lots of Small comforts but *shrug* oh well. Thanks for the update regardless!

Thanks for that link! I was kinda sketchy about the ebay ones too... and did anyone else notice from the link??? WHITE SKIN?!?! Talk about too late XD I wanted mine to be white skin so badly originally... Still love her to bits and pieces but wow... Though... Now I feel like I need to tell my mom...

The one I bought has the maker's mark on the back of the head. Since Felix went broke they must have sold the molds to someone otherwise is ndollsshop selling recasts or are they officially the resellers now? I notice they posted an announcement on her a couple of months back about their "little comfort" dolls. [MENTION=69773]billy001[/MENTION] I know just what you mean - those sweet little faces!

 

I think ndollshop is legitimate, but I am not sure if the ebay seller is. That is an odd selection of merchandise. You might ask ndollshop if the ebay seller is authorized to sell their dolls.

 

Hi I've contacted both companies. This morning I received an email back from Shelly at Storewithstory. She says:
"It is not Recast item. It is made by Felix supervisor in Korea."

This accounts for the old company device on the doll I guess. I read somewhere on here the business went under due to embezzlement.
Nothing back from Ndollshop yet.

Just curious, did you try contacting them thru the Korean shop, as the English shop says that it is closed for more than a few months, and they will try to reopen it later. It's worth a shot anyway.

 

@chinadoll so sorry to hear that! ndollsshop seems dodge to me. They never replied to my enquiry either. I found an eBay seller that sold them that was quick and efficient. They said their stock was not recast and made by the Felix super visor. Otherwise maybe you could post a 'wanted' ad in the MP? Best of luck to you!!

 

I assume you paid with Paypal. I would wait until the average shipping time has past and then file a claim with Paypal. You have 180 days to file a claim. Companies will frequently respond to a Paypal claim. Id they don't, at least you get your money back.

 

Hello, I finally got reply this weekend and they shipped out. I was worried with the no reply for awhile. I don't mind the wait actually but if I get no reply, I get worried. I wish to buy more in the future but wish the customer service is better.

 

I did not even look at the Korean shop LOL.

 

I like this shop because I ordered tan version Small Comfort and ebay don't carry tan version. Also I want face up done since I don't know how to do face up.

 

Paypal was going to be my last resort but finally I got a reply and tracking number. thank goodness I really want tan version of small comfort for a long time LOL. I have some lati order that has not ship but they always answer my questions so I do not mind the wait....I actually don't mind waiting at Lati bec. I want to get points LOL But with no reply and no answer that is a different story

 

I'm glad you got a response and that your doll is on the way. Sometimes we need to remember that many of th e companies are small and use external translators. Communications are frequently slower around the holidays.

Where do you all find clothes for the Small Comfort babies now days? I thought I ordered proper clothes, but got ones for the larger little Brownie dolls. :-P

 

Hi @CynicalSim I've been happy so far with purchases for 'Lati White'. I've bought an outfit from: nubanded
and a couple of outfits from: MyLovelyFairy
which I have been very happy with. The lati white shorts and Tshirts end up being long sleeved and the shorts are a good length on their chubby little legs. Prices are good and there are lots of mix and match options for variety. My Lovely Fairy also sends nice free gifts that match your outift.

Hi friends! My friends and I just bought two felix small comforts. I'm looking for a good place to buy clothes. I've looked through all the posts in this feed and the lati items are not really working out for me. my doll is too chubby for everything!

Hello, sorry for late reply did not notice it until now, got them at ndoll but they are sold out and I hope they will bring the tan skin back. Maybe if a lot of us ask for it they will bring back tan skin.
