Sad to say the company has filed for bankruptcy. I'm hoping someone will buy their molds and make them again.
awww <hug><hug> Hopefully like Valli said they will sell their molds or maybe even get back on their feet. Either way...they are too cute to disappear all together.
You and me both. I've been waiting to get the money for that Doll since October of last year. Needless to say I was a little pissed when I found out.
She is HERE! I like how the head clips on and the eyes too! Not keen on the faceup but as I didn't pay for one I suppose beggars can't be chooosers. I really REALLY like the sculpt though. Very pleased all around! Her lips look like she got into Mommy's lipstick and went wild with the blush which looks even pinker in person. So peaceful. I do like the sculpt on this head.
I got a sleeping head with my fairy set. I guess the set has changed some? And I have a picture! I just love her wee little feet! The dress came from a lil Angelz doll, which is a sort of baby Bratz creation. (I'm... not a fan.) The clothes are pretty cute, and they fit like a charm. Her headband is, of course, a ponytail holder. She's sitting on a bronze model of a giant abstract sundial sculpture. The actual dial (the tallest item, to the right of the picture) is over six feet tall. But the model makes for a good stool for her to sit on!
yay! arrival so cute a little over 4 month wait, i can totally live with that! i'm just glad she showed up cuteness for days
Here's a couple of pics of my little - still nameless - baby girl.. I really should get some better pics of her... You can see more in the album: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/album.php?albumid=4999
thanks Valli ajumapamausa.com is selling them now in the US. and good news, Giodrakes, i don't think the wait is supposed to be that long now....60 days is the claim yay me! i got a sleeping fairy head off the MP yesterday and i also bought another brownie head, so i think i will order another body from Karin. *crossing fingers that everything really is in order now with Felixdoll and it will ship quickly* one just isn't enuff!
It's been a very long time since I shared a picture of Nixie on here. I made her a little quilt, pillow and matching doll.....she's had lots of fun playing! Everyone's babies are so cute
Double Post. I am really sorry about that. But can't wait to show everyone the pictures Sour Dotz sent me! She isn't 100% done. Needs to be sealed I think still. Before: After: No clue how I should dress her though....
She arrived! And she is soo cute. It is hard to photograph as it tends to wash her out. SERIOUSLY folks if you have an suggestions for an outfit that would be lovely. She is a water elf baby and all the pictures I have seen for water babies they are always naked. Maybe I'll just leave her nude. :P I am tempted to buy another. Maybe a brownie this time!
Me miss a chance to show off my baby? I think not. Here she is fresh from a good long nap and ready to play!
darn, wish i'd of known i could get put on a sleeping face list! i went and bought one of the MP since my baby didn't come with. she didn't get a nice box or certificate either but i still love her it was blank, so i did a quicky faceup for pics
Really nice stuff, watch out for some items are really too small. Megahouse Re-ment Blue Baby Food Chair Set Retired is really tiny! I know I bought some other items that fell into the 'too tiny' department but I just don't remember at this point. The diaper set is so adorable! I don't have the one with the bottle warmer yet. Nice to see the baby can still be had....good luck, she/he is a cutie!
omigosh! panic!!!! i just took some photos this past week and planned to bump up the thread...imagine my horror at hearing of the possibility that i missed (again) my chance to get a body for my head too i'd just been waiting for time to save a few extra dollars.... well, at least i have one baby to tide me over baby by costleyhobby, on Flickr
flgirl05, I'm in Central Florida also. The Bratz Baby clothes fit SC perfectly. The Bratz Babies aren't being made anymore but the Marshall's and TJaxx both carry them They usually come with cute little props/animals that make perfect toys for SC too.
aw, how cute oh, i'll have to look into that. well, since a new body is indefinitely pending i switched heads for now Small Comfort by costleyhobby, on Flickr
Keri~ that is a good question. I've been lead to a website that has Felix/brownie dolls but does not have any small comforts. the small comforts can use any head the regular brownies use but right now it looks like it's next to imposible to buy one of these puppies. On that note, if anyone sees a website selling them... I'd really like to know about it, Since AjumaPama closed down their felix doll sales and it's slightly indefinite when they will be opened again.
i have some old links in my history to the SC for sale on Karen's site. but don't attempt to 'add to cart' because it is just an old link and she's not selling right now. http://www.ajumapamausa.com/FELIX/SmallComfort/SmComfortTypeA/SmCfrt.html http://www.ajumapamausa.com/FELIX/SmallComfort/SmComfortFairy/SmCfrtFairy.html basically you can buy a "human" baby or a "fairy", but the bodies are the same (?). but it is true, any brownie head will fit on the body i can't wait to get another body, so i can have on human and one fairy. they are truly the cutest little things!
oh, btw, i fixed up my puki attic and turned half into a nursery sorry for the poor pic, but the house is in the basement with poor lighting! (hates using the flash) small comfort bedroom by costleyhobby, on Flickr
Awwww Lynn Nexus! I didn't know all the details of your quest to get a Small Comfort! I see how that could make you spazzy! Well I hope you and Giodrakes will be able to get your little ones some day! Giodrakes - you do have to buy the Lil Angelz doll to steal the outfit - at least, I haven't seen any separate clothing for them when Googling the past few days.
Hey guys - have you seen Calico Critters? I think in the UK they are Sylvanian Families or something like that. Anyway, I just realized - that dress that my brownie is wearing - it's from one of those sets!!! So today I went to Toys R Us and picked up another package of Calico Critters and was able to dress her in one of the little baby outfits:
The Lil Angelz clothes are an absolute perfect fit for the Small Comfort babies. My baby has about a dozen different outfits. The line is discontinued now, so you're most likely to find them online or, of all places, in Walgreens. I've mostly had to buy entire dolls, usually in their original packaging, though every now and then I've found an auction of just the outfit. My niece likes to play with the Lil Angelz, though, so it's not a total loss. Still, she has an entire nursery full at this point!
Thanks Hey I have a question about your little one there... are the eyes interchangeable? I have't seen one like that up close yet... not sure which parts move and so on... she really is precious though
Yep - her eyes can be switched out - and actually what's cool about the Felix Brownies is that their HEADS are interchangeable. You just pop the head off and put it on another body. The Small Comfort head and regular Brownie head are the same size, so it doesn't look weird or anything.
Okay boots! Here ya go. She fits in the regular CC bed, but definitely not the crib or baby carriage. She is closest in size to the middle CC - that's the kid sized one - but the baby CC clothes are very stretchy so she can wear those. The kid sized dress she was wearing in my first photo was actually a tiny bit baggy around her neck, but I didn't think it was too noticeable.
Sesana - thank you for the confirmation! I'm gonna have to go to Walgreens soon and see if I can find some Lil Angelz LOL!
okay, so for now i've decided on "Precious" but with her new outfit, i'm struck by "Honey" LOL Precious by costleyhobby, on Flickr
O.O boots.. Can I get you do do me a favor? can you take a picture of your sprite next to you SM comfort? I have an art project need for a picture that will show me proportions to dolls I've already made this arty project for... naked if you don't mine so I can do the joints ^_^
so long since a post! i played with my bebe today i put the fairy head back on... Lily by costleyhobby, on Flickr i really adore their little bodies so i will be truly heartbroken if they don't become available for sale again if i get another chance i think i will get like 5!!!! LOL anyway, i wanted to come up with a name for this bebe too...so i asked my 4 year-old what she thought was a good name (with much reserve though, as the 4 and 5 year-olds usually come up with some kooky names ) but she said "Lily" and i thought, well that is simply perfect so the fairy bebe is Lily and the human baby is Precious (but may end up Sugar) ETA: oh, btw, the 2 yellow outfits are both by nubanded on etsy
There was some talk earlier about Sylvanian family clothes fitting brownie babies. For those that knit, here's a site that has some patterns for Sylvanian clothes http://woollywoodlanders.co.uk/ . They also have a free pattern on ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-knitted-jacket-for-sylvanian-family-baby#
i emailed the brownie company browniedoll.com or something like that and they said "no SC in the works here". i emailed another company that sells or sold felixdolls, but they never responded
Glib is now making Brownies (www.mudoll.com) I got to see one...they are VERY nice. Their news thread in the archive said they're trying to do the Brownies first but it wouldn't hurt to ask. They have a DoA account.
Felix doll is no more. Apparently the owner's wife ran away with the company's money. The good news is that Glib doll is now making the Brownies, and you can find them at Junkyspot or at Mudoll.
Mu Doll just responded to me!! They are working on re-releaseing the Small comforts!! *runs in circles until she falls over*
I'm excited, a shy little fairy baby showed up on my doorstep today. She is so very sweet! I gave her some light blue eyes and made her a new little blue pinafore set. She seems unsure right now but she'll be just fine once she gets a glimpse of the nursery I have set up for her. Here is tiny Freya:
I hope they are put into production soon....my little Freya feels so lonely in this thread Here she is struggling to reach her bottle.....
Thanks and yep it should fit as SC heads are the same size as Puki. SC bodies are the best thing about them....they are just the perfect little baby BJD. Freya is tuckered out now and napping in her tiny little crib:
I bought a little baby from the MP... I heard there's going to be small comfort babies made again by the new company, but I just couldn't wait any longer. Here is my baby Alice, after years of searching!
Mudoll is supposed to be releasing the small comfort babies sometime, but no one knows when. They bought the molds or rights and are making felix doll's other doll brownie and selling them. http://www.mudoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=868
I remember the small comforts being around $100 brand new, because just when I had $100 saved up Felixdoll went bust and I got my payment refunded! I paid $220 in the MP for my baby Alice. I imagine if/when the babies start getting made again they'll have to be more expensive than they used to be, because that was the whole reason for Felixdoll going broke in the first place (their dolls were so underpriced that not only were they not breaking even, it was loosing them money). Here is another shot of my girl from a few days ago. I want to make more baby outfits but I need to find more super tiny velcro. My tiniest metal snaps are still too big and bulky for such small baby clothes. Nodding off... by prettybird6, on Flickr
Lol, indeed! By the by, does anybody here have any suggestions for a baby pram? I really want to buy her a fancy victorian looking one, but the ones I'm seeing on ebay look like they might be slightly small. I particularly like this one and this one. Has anybody had any experience with either? They're both pricy, so I want to make sure it will be exactly perfect before I buy!
Prettybird~ In my experience Pretty much anything that's for a doll house is gonna be small, and the dimensions given are from ground to the top of the hood, and include the handle. So the length with the handle is 3.5 inches... which is approximately 8.9 CM according to my ruler. SmC are (with the brownie heads) about 7 cm tall... the handle looks pretty short on that first one so you MIGHT be able to fit length wise but she's going to look HUGE in it I don't know how wide a Puki puki head is off the top of my head, but having handled them, I'm gonna say 1.75" is pretty narrow for those pointy little ears. I wouldn't go with the second one at all... it's even shorter. You're gonna want to find the BIGGEST pram you can if you're looking in doll house stuff, cus yea... their 1/12th sized stuff is for 1/12 sized adults... If you could find one for 1/6th or bigger.... you might be able to swing it. [/End babble]
Prettybird~ Yea, Doll house scale is pretty much gonna make your baby look like... Hagrid's child :/ highchairs and the like will be smallish at best... and tiny at worst. I totally feel your pain, I want a -stylish- crib for my baby (when I get her >.<) but I want it to be 1/4th size because she's the daughter of my two MSD's So I need it to make her look little... and then of course, my dolls have the start of a kitchen... so she's going to require a -matching- highchair so she can eat with the rest of the family... being that I'm constructing their table and their chairs >.> I have to figure out how to build one for her too T_T
I haven't been in here for soooooo long. Sorry about that. Here are my twins celebrating. Lissie is distracted by a little dinosaur (off camera) but Lana is looking at us. She's such a giggly girl.
Ohhh never knew that about freezer paper! I'll want to give that a try ASAP. Now on to the baby picture! DH left the charger at work, didn't know he even had it in his bag. SO the picture is taken using my phone. I was pleasently surprised it did so well. Giddy actually! The Small Comfort is actually a wee bit shorter then a Christmas Baby Boy. Nixie's legs are straight while Vincent's are bent. Sooner or later I will have to break down and get Victoria a face up. Just holding out hope Ravendolls will do faceups again! Love my babies. So much fun to dress and shop for. Just so gosh darn cute ta boot!
Duh! Should of sent nudey pics so you can see the body difference. I am such a prude though so it never occurs to me to do so! Not much in difference. Vincent actually has more a pot belly then Nixie. BUT his neck is thinner. I'd be interested in seeing how the Little Miss head would work out.
So anyone seen any of these little ones out and about lately? taxes are back and I have some cash floating around again... but knowing my luck there won't be any around T_T
I haven't seen any around in a long time, such a pity because they are so cute! Here is my little Freya, she is so easily entertained:
Ahhh- even More SqueeDorable Babies - I sooo gotta set up my little nursery and post pics - you all are killinK me with CuteNess! I spoke to Iris at Fabric Friends and Dolls today as she will be carrying MuDoll and I asked her to please beg for more small comfort babies for everyone - I sooo hope we hear good news soon MustangSally - Freya is just too adorable in that gorgeous crib - sleeping so sweetly - pure Heaven Oh Heavens Prettybird - is that truly a Puki head on your baby? I adore her! EDIT - Wow, I was posting to an entirely different page....how did that happen?! Luckily Freya is on this one too - YaY!
Dollzwize~ YES! Mudoll was talking about it then they went silent! GOD if only more people would pester them maybe they'd finally carry them T_T *whines and sulks*
