    1. Each one of these photos has strengths. The first one and the last are my particular favorites. All of these have a good framing of the subject and a sense of composition.

      Individual points for each piece:
      1. The bright line down the center of the first photo draws the viewers eye, their focus and interest along that path. My teachers would have said that this line of light is doing a good job of directing that eye. My eye is first drawn down to the rattle and then back up to the lighter area of the face and the details of the faceup. Even with the limitations of the camera it has a good range of light and dark areas and the details that are there are the important ones.

      2. This one is pushing up against your camera's limits. It still looks cute and has interesting texture. It's showing its pixels a bit at this display size. The camera probably needs to be pulled back just a couple inches or so in order to focus fully, and to have both the arm holding the camera -and the arm pushing the button- resting on something to limit muscle shaking.

      3. Excellent contrasts on the subject! Love the use of the lens effect here. Also how the chain at the edge of the composition makes a boundary that balances that side with the leaves on the other side. The light brings attention to the shadows on her face and then the folded shirt held in her arms. This picture feels like part of a story.

      4. The last one as part of a set with the one before. Love how this is cropped so the darkest parts are around a brighter, more detailed center. My eye immediately goes the middle and then goes around to her face and the hands against the shirt. Her pose has not noticeably changed, but the composition, crop and color profile have and that makes a different feeling in this photo. The low light is causing grain, but the grain is working and adds to the overall feeling.

Apologies if this is a bit much, feel free to take what helps and leave what doesn't.

Thank you for such a kind critique. I'm just using a tablet and playing with light. Yeah, I dislike photo 2. I'll not crop so intensely. My daughter had a strong negative opinion of the last shot as she hates filters. But I love the color filter. You've helped alot. I appreciate your time. I'll keep chugging on!
