Favorite companies to order clothes from and why?

Jan 13, 2017

    1. I’m an absolute Dollheart junkie for buying my girls cute outfits. I also like select Souldoll outfits, Freedom Teller, and Ringdoll.

    2. I like TTYA, Nine9style and Iplehouse. Some Soom and Luts, too. Oh and SartoriaJ, some of their outfits are also great.

    3. I recently did a clean out of my doll closet and it urns out I own mostly H Naoto brand clothes! So that's my bias!~

    4. I love Nine9style and I follow a lot of really amazing clothing makers on etsy!

    6. This is incredibly helpful!! :loveI have some boys who are hard to buy for.

Mine are Little Moda, Nine9Style, Greentime, Yomi's Blog, and Sadol.

    7. I really like Melloy hand made on Etsy. Even though I didn’t order from her yet, I can tell that she makes a lot of kawaii clothes think that I think will fit my new bjd’s aesthetic.

    8. I only have one BJD. She is an Iplehouse BID. She can wear clothes by Boneka. I also shop online for clothes in her size. Other than Boneka, I don't have a clothes maker that I prefer.

    9. Hello to my fellow BJD enthusiasts:chibi I've just recently started to get back into the community and was curious to know where your favorite outfits and accessories come from?

Would love to hear or see what you love :D

    10. Hello! and welcome :3nodding:
So far I've been prioritizing getting dolls and buying/making a few simple pieces over getting full in-character outfits. But I do really like Denver Doll's basics and have found some good stuff on Etsy & Ebay.

    11. O! I have never heard of Denver Dolls. I am familiar with Etsy and Ebay seems to be a hit or miss for me. Volks is definitely my #1. Thank you for sharing :3nodding:

    12. Looking through feedback and stuff before hand helps a lot, but yeah, Ebay's like that sometimes. Denver Doll Emporium is in Colorado and they've been so good, quality stuff and quick shipping to the west coast of the U.S. for things in stock. I haven't bought anything from Volks yet, but good to know...

    13. Yea, Volks has great quality but can be a bit pricey. Thank you for sharing your sources :cheer

    14. My favorite doll clothes brand is probably TTYA. Even though casual isn't my favorite style for dolls, comfy casual clothes are just so nice on any doll and TTYA has great quality.

    15. Are you looking for specific brands, or dealers who sell unique, high quality stuff? If it's the latter, I recommend Moonlight BJD. They have wonderful clothing, wigs, accessories, etc, and great customer service. Pricey, but you still have to be fairly quick - the best things sell out fast. By brand, I love Freedom Teller - also expensive, but absolutely classic and fabulous quality clothing and shoes/boots. You have to watch their site, though - they work on a release schedule, rather than having things in stock.

    16. My favorite clothing brands are Nine9 Style, TTYA, Tree Design and Tata's Paradise. But one of the best pieces I've ever bought was a pair of plaid pants from IchigoTreasures on Etsy and they are better quality than some of my own real pants, they are beautiful with so much detail and even the plaid lines up perfectly on the front pockets.

    17. Interesting, so you're really into details which I often wonder if it matters to other doll enthusiasts. I personally love attention to detail and like when that is reflected in the design. Do you recall how much you paid for those pants? Usually great designs tend to cost most for doll clothing.

    18. They were only $24 and shipping! :D I was really impressed, I never expected such quality for that price.

    19. My favorite Brands are Volks, Dollheart and Odd aristocratic from Taobao, since i like the lolita and victorian fashion, it gets hard to find the specific pieces of clothing for my crew.
And desers if they were more ease to get.

    20. I really love DollHeart, VOLKS (both their own stuff and their brand collabs), and rRabit but I would have to say that my favorite piece of doll clothing is hands down a dress set that I commissioned from @Kastalia you can see Nadeko modeling it here
The fabric and lace are beautiful and it is expertly made! I love everything about it and if given the opportunity would totally commission more pieces from Sue!

    21. Shouting out ebayer goodboyyer-6 wherever I can.
Amazing selection, good prices, free shipping.
Actually took the trouble to check my order against my doll's measurements (which I'd included in case anything was being made from scratch) and suggested I get better fitting shoes.
Sent two packages at no cost because of a delay with one item.
Included a pillow, hair elastics, and two necklaces as free gifts.
And just generally really pleasant and friendly.

    22. Denver doll.com my fave for clothes..frist they have good prices and the in stock items come pretty quick within a few days and they always give me a tracking number. And such nice people to deal with ..iv called em before because I had a question and the lady on the phone worked with me untill I understood everything when I frist got into the hobby

    23. I love Dollmore, they have a nice selection and ship very fast.

    24. From companies I really like TTYA, everyone appears to love this place.

Also I buy a lot to clothes on Etsy: Balljointedsoulmates, Esefdolls, Gavalloni.

And I also really love SMP Doll aree Clothes: SMPdoll

    25. I prefer to dress my dolls in a lot of black clothing: t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, pants, leggings, black boots, etc. For these types of items, I love shopping at Dollmore and Alice's Collections.

    26. I like any doll outfits I buy to be in a middle ground of being decent quality, but not so expensive that I'm too scared to take the outfit outside for fear of it getting dirty or damaged.

Because I mostly have Volks dolls, Volks outfits are my go-to. I've also learned a lot of tricks about how to sew at doll scale from examining Volks pieces.
I've also gotten good clothes for 68cm+ dolls from Bears, Snake Eyes, DollyPlanet, Tokyo Night Walk and Blackkbbo on Taobao.
I've had good quality secondhand pieces from R.Abimonster and Kisskiss1013 (IG) and DollHeart, but most of those very embellishment-heavy OTT outfits aren't what I typically dress my dolls in.

    27. M + V Studio is quickly becoming a favorite. They’re always really high quality, and Alice’s Collection often has them on sale.
