FAQ: Apoxie Sculpt and other epoxy putties for additive modifications and repairs

Hello, thread! I have some Milliput Superfine White and an additive mod that has been painted. I've had some issues with the paint, because I'm very bad at treating things delicately, so I started wondering: Would it be possible to tint some Milliput to match my girl's skin (she's tan), then add lots of water to it and "paint" the resulting slip onto the modded part of the doll?

I feel like if this is possible, it might be more durable than the paint has been, since it would bond to the existing epoxy.

Could this work, or am I totally off-base?

 

You can mix grinded pastel directly trough the apoxy.

 

Could those who have used both Aves Apoxy Sulpt AND Amazing Sculpt please do a for and against comparison for the two of them? I think this would really help everyone thinking of doing mods.
