bio: This little sprite suddenly appeared one morning in our living room. When in Glastonbury a few years back, the hubby and I purchased a tiny door: an elabroate and adorable wooden one with a teeny knocker. We placed it on our skirting board and knocked once. Since then it has sat there, looking cute, and ever promising of a fairy visitor.

I had forgotten all about it until a week ago when the tiny fairy door creaked open slowly and out peered a little face with big hazel eyes, a teeny button nose and pouty lips. She looked at me, silently asking if she might come in. I nodded and in she stepped.

Since then, I have learnt that although Door cannot speak, the tinkling sounds of bells that follow her seem to tell me all I need to know. At the moment, I know that Door is ageless, and loves to play the piano by jumping from one key to another in lightening speed. She says she has always lived in a room full of doors, each one borrowed from forgotten rooms from all over the human world. It seems the man we had bought the door from in Glastonbury had taken it from an old Abbey. Now, Door has decided to stay with us, and although a cute little sprite, she is very serious and cries when I chop vegetables.

This of course pissed Maca off at first, until she discovered that Esa actually had a very comfortable life and she'd get to live in comfort instead of remaining in her old forest dwelling. She's quite happy with the arrangement now, and has no intention of leaving if the binding can be removed.
