FANFF 1/4

Aaayyyyy. Awesome to see a thread for the smol girls!

I hadn't planned to get any more dolls in my crew this year, but unfortunately I also fell in love with FanFF's dolls last year and have been hype for the 1/4 girls since they began teasing them on IG bahaha. Got a Hai head and body + extra hand parts and a stand (complete with "ass holder" lmao) preordered and looking forward to hopefully getting them this summer if they are able to stick to the production time stated. That now makes four dolls I'm waiting on (one from Bimong that's clocking in over a year now, and two from Black Cherry Dolls's recent preorder). OTL

I don't really have any set plan for her at the moment. Started up a new savefile for Cyberpunk 2077 to get some inspo on potential looks. A shame FanFF doesn't have any sculpts that match up with my main V character, or it'd be a done deal on customization ideas bahaha.

 

Haha right? Most I've ever been waiting on at one time. The chocolate color is super gorgeous. Hope at least some people got the money to spend on it so I can oogle their pictures haha. I opted for the P (peach, I assume?) color myself since there's a chance my girl might end up body sharing down the line.

 

I was also really hoping chocolate would be available to all the 1/4s, but I guess after the debacle with it last year Fanff decided to only offer the 5 fullsets in it... v_v I ended up ordering Lin in light tan. If I really need a darker color I'll just dye her.

 

The shipping took aaaaggggeeesss, but my girl is finally home! Her body was also fully wired, which I was not at all expecting! She's a bit tighter strung than I like, so I'll likely be restringing her and seeing how I like how she handles without the wire. I will say though, I really dislike that knee joint design bahaha. I saw some peeps in the large doll thread mention them and had no idea what they were talking about, but hooooooboy. That's bad. Why do so many doll artists think they need to reinvent the wheel??



I'm not sure if it was due to the tariffs, or just logistics issues, but she shipped from the Netherlands before making her way to me, and boy howdy, PostNL packages take a looooooong time to reach their destination.

Anyway, absolutely love her, will need to get to making a hard wig cap for her so I can get to work on getting hair on her. I'd bought her some eyes before her arrival, but the iris size is way too big so she's wearing some spare green resin eyes I have for the time being. She might keep them, she might not ahaha.

Anyone else get their girls yet?

@aligie82 Your girl is such a cutie, and nice to know how she compares to another fashion-type BJD.

I got a wig made for my girl and also ordered some custom eyes for her, but for now she’s stuck with these green ones I have:



@eunni Don’t know about aligie’s girl, but mine is currently wearing 12mm eyes with 5mm irises. I did take a quick shot of her with a pair of 10mm eyes I swiped from one of my boys.

Spoiler: Eye Comparison

The blue eye is 10mm with a 4mm iris. Green is the 12mm I mentioned.

12mm fits decently enough, but the 10mm is much better in the eye well. I prefer the smaller iris in my girl, but 5mm looks pretty good to me too if you want something more doe-like.

 

@aligie82 Thank you! Can't wait to eventually get her painted. I'm planning to make her into one of my characters for the Love and Deepspace game, though probably with some Cyberpunk 2077 vibes because I made a character in that game while I was waiting for my doll to brainstorm ideas for how I'll get her customized haha.

 

Finally found the energy to try on some more clothes on my girl to figure out what fits her. Definitely want to do a little shopping spree at SartoriaJ and Etsy soon to expand her wardrobe since I got very little stuff that suits her style that isn't too short on her haha. Also did some more chopping at her wig and I like it a bit more. I love bob cuts, but I have such a hard time with them in doll scale for some reason. Look too stiff most of the time.

 

Still haven't gotten my gal painted just yet, but I made her another wig with some leftover blond fiber I had from two other wig projects I did before.
