FanFFs work is perfect for the 'office siren' vibes! Which sculpt is the intended doll? ^^

I really tried to resist, but they're so cool!
I ended up getting their like... strappy heels and their new sandal wedges in pink! I can't wait to see them on the tan resin!

 

Ah… to miss the preorder is truly pain does anyone know how often Fanff does pre-orders?

 

I think this is the 2nd pre-order shes done this year, so maybe two a year unless shes going to offer another after the dolls are shipped in Oct? She doesn't always offer the same bodies each order to. I passed on the 1st order due to that. I hope you can get in the next order she has!

 

I looks like Dolce has managed to secure a small pre-order window until the 28th!!!

now I just need to know like… what’s the difference between the Fanff Tan and Light Tan?

I just want a non-red based tan! The fairyland tan is beautiful but it’s very red haha

 

I have committed to the tan and chocolate. After MUCH stalking on Fanff’s instagram, I found one where she said the color in the image was tan (which was surprising to me! Much lighter than I thought haha) and then the chocolate…. I had to? It’s such a beautiful color.

I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for a normal/white Fanff VS body or full doll secondhand either way! I’ve already started working on clothes… want to see them on those beautiful bodies ASAP

 

@misaxlee ooo I bet they'll be gorgeous! We're you looking for color swatches though? Fanff has color chips on their website, I can post the link later if you need it.

 

I did manage to find the color chips on the site! I just am not very good at judging the difference between BJD skin tones based on chips yet… sometimes I think they’ll look one way, and then the actual doll in that color looks totally different! I feel it’s really difficult to determine the undertones for resin colors by the chips. Or maybe that’s just me. (And Fanff doesn’t have any, “this is it in sunlight, this is it in low light” comparisons to get a feel)

(not to even include how resin batches will have different colors even between years…)

 

Oh yeah totally fair, I work with color quite a bit in my work life and trying to explain that products will never look exactly like the screen color is half my day.

 

Mid 2024 orders are set to ship really soon!
Seems like the national holiday is causing some delays but they will still be sent out before the end of October. I am so excited!!

It seems like there has been a delay with the Model 2.0 body! The image posted here says, roughly;

When the body was received from the caster, the artist noticed the knees were too tight in the socket. She is paying return shipping for all orders sent out already, so that it can be fixed - those that haven’t had their order sent out yet will have the issue repaired and then their orders will be sent. Still anticipated to be sent in October.

Did you all get the latest notice? It says that because the chocolate colored skin was made differently than the sample, buyers of that skin have a few options: change the order to another skin, keep the wrong skin and get a half refund, get both the wrong skin and the new skin (adding 2 months of production time), or get a full refund. If you ordered the chocolate skin, I think you should definitely check it out, the company is very responsive and friendly, so contacting them will help (sorry for the poorly written sentence, English is not my first language).

 

I checked my emails and Instagram and don't see this notice. Where did you see this notice?

 

If the gallery on fanff's weibo(@Fan帆饭_) contained relevant content and was purchased through taobao, an individual message was sent. The weibo post there says "Some after-sales service and skin color difference issues are still being resolved", so I guess they're getting the message out in the order of shipment.

 

My 'Model 2.0' body arrived today! She is stunning.
Everything about my experience was perfect. The colour, the resin, the fact that she comes wired/sueded.
I cannot wait to see her all done up ^^

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's dolls when they arrive, too!

Can anyone suggest eye sizes for Hai? The 14mm eyes I have in her in the pics above are a lot too big, they’re gapping a lot on the outer corners.

 

Got the notice about my girl, have sent the shipping payment so now just to wait for her to be sent out! I took a while to send the payment cause I had so much stuff going on but ahhhhhh so excited!

I have no idea when I should expect my body to ship, it still just says awaiting shipment on the site. Fingers crossed it's soon!

 

I really don't like the mishap resin color so I'm waiting for my chocolate girl! Did anyone go for it? I actually would like the color for a fantasy doll.

 

I finally received my C-skin doll and got to share a picture of it, but it's a slightly different color than the official C-skin, and they told me that they ran into an issue with the sample color during the C-skin production process, so they were redoing a new version of the doll to correct the incorrect color. The doll in this picture is the incorrect color version, which is basically a lighter shade compared to the sample, with a bit more ash and purple, but it's very beautiful. I think the cocoa color of the Soul Doll was supposed to be similar to this, or maybe more of a moonlight brown.

This might not be a realistic colour or the colour they intended it to be, but it is so pretty! This for a fantasy character like a Drow or dark elf would be spectacular, the slight purple grey is pretty versatile.

 

I agree. It's absolutely beautiful, and honestly, I can only say that I'm honored to have a doll in this color as well. This might be the most appealing of the four brown tones I have, as I'm a huge fan of rose browns.

 

Where are you guys communicating and getting updates from fanff from, weibo? I reached out over email as I hadn't heard anything regarding my order or paying for shipping, but I'm wondering if it's the best place.

 

Yeah, she is most active on Weibo but she has a RedBook account as well.

 

I got my shipping invoice um almost a week ago? maybe I'd have to check but did you check your spam folder just incase it somehow ended up there? Probably did and it's not there but just to be sure.

In news though, I got my shipping notice today, she's on her way! I'm so excited to get my girl!

My girl arrived yesterday, but they forgot her head and heel feet. I emailed them about this and hope to have a complete girl soon.
The body and accessories I got (heels, hands, and stand) are all beautiful! I really appreciate the attention to detail by Fanff.

 

My girl turned up on the 31st. My heel feet were actually also missing. I messaged them and they got back to me real quick and said they would fix it and send them to me so here's hoping I get them soon!

The head and body though... OH wow the detail and how she poses! I love my girl so much already!

I tried it because her ballet feet were so pretty. She was still before faceup, so I covered her face. After all, FANFF's body line is so elegant and beautiful overall.

Do any of you use Taobao? FANFF's 2.0 body is currently selling some inventory.

 

The body arrived today and it's gorgeous! It made me realize how used to big girl and boys are when I was like wow she's so light!

The light tan color is lovely, and I think it's probably pretty close to sartoriaj Sonoran beige. I'll try and take comparison pics of the color tomorrow if anyone's interested.

 

Hi, as i promised, writing you about my e-mail with FanFF. I got answer, and They do not plan preorder for whole doll this year. But if you need only body: Preorder for 2.0 body only till the end of this year.

And also wanted to ask you what size of wig do you use for FanFf doll, seems that they have small head, almost like msd girls?

 

Super late but I will try to get pics soon! She won't be finished for a very long time and has nothing except 1 top so far so I haven't thought about taking pics BUT in good news, her heel feet turned up today! They are perfect and the communication and service from Fanff is wonderful imo.

and to @Dhaena yes they are very tiny. Pretty small even though I have mostly small headed SD dolls, my Fanff girl is one of the smaller ones. (only one I have smaller technically IS a MSD head lol) I have tried 7-8 wigs on my girl and same as my other small headed SD's, she fits wonderfully in them. So I would suggest that size myself.

Thank you very much! I was thinking, that she had almost the same head as minifee. Just want to be ready for the future, in case i can get one of FanFf dolls.

 

Oh I see. Yeah their heads are rather on the small side for SD's but my two minifees are smaller again. I wouldn't advise a minifee sized wig as that will definitely not fit. I checked, my minifee and actual MSD wigs do not fit. lol

So yeah 7-8 wigs are what I would suggest for them. They are very small heads for SD's but still too large for what my actual MSD's wear. (which is a 6-7, despite most places still listing 7-8 as 'MSD sized' wigs)

I'm soooo tempted to get started on her but the funds I have right now are reserved for finishing off a few other dolls first. I'm so close to being done for everyone! (by close I totally mean this girl needs a faceup, wig, eyes and clothes, another 2 dolls need wigs, eyes, bodies and faceups and another just needs a wig and eyes, but the rest are being worked on right now so to me this is CLOSE lol)

Wow, I have been disappointed with the knees of the Victoria body (elastic pops out the knees in back when the doll kneels and stays out of channel). So when my Impldoll 68cm girl body came yesterday, I decided to try Liu’s head on it. She looks great!

That would be AMAZING! Trying to figure out Fanff’s tans drove me up the wall I eventually just guessed at “tan” and not “light tan”, so I’d love to see

 

Hi, I was very lucky, FanFF had a doll in stock and she let me buy her My girl is already shipped, hope will be soon here! I got Model Body 2.0 and Liu head. So excited! Now thinking about wig and eyes, and clothes.. This purchase was so unexpected and happened so fast.

 

Does anyone know if the bottom leg part (super high heel part) of the old body will fit the new one? I'm afraid that the knee might not fit. The thing is FanFF forgot to put heel parts to my order. They mixed up all the orders from my city, so I had to find lost parts on second hand market. And one of them - full shin part in different skin tone but it's from the first ver body
this is the worst experience with the company I ever had

 

If you ordered heel feet and didn't receive them, please get in contact with Fanff. They were supposed to be part of my order and I didn't get mine, I reached out to them right after my doll arrived and the feet were sorted out and sent in a really quick time.
If it's been a while I don't know how this will go but always reach out to the company about problems and they will almost always fix it.

That said, the old legs on the new body, no I don't think it will work. The model body and the VS body are different and the model body has been reworked from the original body so they are all different, so the feet might be fine but the actual heel legs likely will not fit.

 

Wow the wait is killing me (in a good way!!) got notice my girls are shipped. They just have to arrive…. Sometime… eventually….

 

I got an Emal from Fanff, saying pre-order for the 62cm body will open this week until the end of Febuary!

Just finished face ups for the left two this morning. The Hai (3rd from left, normal resin color) was purchased second hand on the original Model Body.

Wires really DO make a difference lol

Got my Chocolate girl today! I'm clocking into work but will have to circle back here next day off, the color is so nice - seconding that the undertone is cool.

 

Did you ever figure out a workaround or solution for the elastic popping out at the knees? I have this problem too and it's one of the only cons I have with the body.
