Well shucks ... no new RPs on this Winter Event just happening. Heavy sigh. Gotta find me a little RP to love! Anyone have an extra one needing rehoming?

I can't upload any photos from Flickr for some reason.I always used to do it from Photobucket but am NOT willing to pay $1.10 per day for the new upgrade to post here.


I found the most adorable little Popo to adopt and he will be in the mail soon! I am sooo excited.

Sorry ... Can someone please tell me which "LINK" to take from Flickr? I've tried them all and none work.

 

Hope this works for you, @Peggytoes! Select the share arrow under your photo in flickr, then make sure BBcode is selected in the window that comes up; choose medium size, then copy the code and paste it into DOA.

 

El BJD: Thank you ... I have been putting it in the little box with the sun/mt in it like it says to on DOA and that won't work ... so just pasting directly on the page WORKS! THANKS AGAIN!

I tried that too ... but the only thing that worked was pasting directly to this area where we type our messages, not the URL link box.

 

I think that's what both @El BJD and I were trying to say, except we didn't quite say it. I also notice that every time I try to give these directions, no matter how I phrase it DoA turns the text into an attempted image with a red X through it.

@Peggytoes It was you that got that little cutie! I'm so glad! I was watching on ebay, though I'd gamble and wait it out a bit, haha. He's totally adorable, that little tooth missing gives him so much charm. Congrats on getting him, he's perfect for you ! Excited to see what you do with him.

I've jumped into this thread because I've ordered a Tyni basic today, I'm pretty excited to own a fairyland doll. They're one of those first companies I saw years ago when I was just curious about the hobby. It'll be a while before she arrives, so I'm keen to get to work on some outfits.

 

.... Yep ... lucky me! I am very excited for him and will post a few pix here. So happy you have a Tyni coming ... it's very hard to just have one of these ... but I can't have more than one so I decided to get one I am totally in love with ... and I am going to be a good girl!

I have the RealPuki shoes, but they're bare resin. How do I color them like yours?

I used ordinary liquid acrylic craft paints, like the kind you can get at Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michael's. I wanted to age them a bit, so I added a thin wash of a darker color in creases and under the folded tops. The buckles and straps are a different color to set them off. I painted the soles, too, even though they're usually not visible. Don't forget to spray with MSC before and after painting.

There are more New Year's photos on my blog. It took the little guys several tries to get the date right!

@Peggytoes - Thank you! Love your photo, too! At least your Popo is wearing clothes. My guys are doing a take on Baby New Year so I figured number cards and shoes were all they needed.

 

UNDRESSED IS PERFECT for your little ones - then they look like babies ... that's why its SOOO ADORABLE!

 

I wonder when we might hear news of the new Pupu and Popo Realpuki Fullset that Fairyland was teasing about.

Has anyone emailed them suggestions for the fullsets yet? I really don't mind what they choose just as long as there's enough available My Pupu needs a new sibling

 

I haven't heard anything back from them. But 2 days ago I sent them an email with an idea for the Realpukis (for a Faun and a Centaur). Taking FL's photos to add to the Flickr photo I borrowed (Maniou's). Just a quickie photoshop job, but wouldn't they just be too stinkin cute?!!! A whole set ... hooves, ears, antlers and tail?

Realpui Centaurs Anyone? I've sent these ideas to Fairyland. I know they've probably already thought about doing this. I'm afraid the Realpuki's are so small ... they might be too difficult/costly, but who knows? Their email is [email protected] if you want to furthur my attempts!!! LOL

I love all these tinies so much...not sure which one I like the most.

 

@Peggytoes Interesting and kind of disappointing, but I guess I understand I guess modding is the only route unless the artists feel inspired in the same way.

 

I have a COA question- I ordered a PuPu and PoPo ; I am now considering selling my PuPu. I tentatively marked the COAs as whose was whose but was never quite sure. Now I can't find PuPu's as we have moved several times and apparently it got seperated. Are the numbers sculpt specific? Is there a way to look up what doll the # is for?

 

I'm not sure, but did your Pupu definately have a COA? Mine was pre COAs, and for the older ones usually they just have to go with a copy of the email receipt.

 

Oh... that's a really good question. I ordered PuPu Jan/2013 from DDE and PoPo FULL set 4/2014.
I found this article that 12/2013 was when COAs started... so that means he likely didn't come with one.

I have the receipt and the original foil wrap and everything and can print the receipt so maybe that is the case.

Anyone else longing for the release of some new RPs? I’m having 2 sleeping face plates modified to open over sized eyes....fell in love with a little guy named PeeWee who has darling big eyes, so I’m hoping these two, a tyni & a soso, will satisfy my craving.

 

Can't wait to see your modded faces. Yes, Fairyland does need give the RPs some love and new faces.

 

I love mod'ing too and I badly want to collect the full set and have a little village set up

So far I've got Pupu, Sira, and Soso (unmod'ed), and I've mod'ed Ara and Kaka.

I'm super keen to get Toki, Papilio, Aki, and Roro next, and then I'd like to get Titi and Tyni to mod.

Then, for stage three, I'm hoping to get Popo in the new Fullset re-release, and a few more Akis to mod into a subgroup of fanged RealPuki

 

Would love to see pictures of your modified wee ones Donna80...especially Ara as you can see from my avatar, it is one of my very favorite sculpts. Hope I will be able to share photos when they get home namaro. I use an iPad & have forgotten how to post pics here.

Thanks Answer42! I’m not sure which knitting you’re referring too....spoiled girl has quite a few lovely knit things, all by various talented people, not me! I’m so frustrated with trying to post pics here. I only use an iPad & im not sure if that’s the problem or if it’s just me. I’ve just gotten a pic of the soso that I’ve had eyes opened to quite a bit larger & it’s darling....wish I could share!

Hello to you too Isha! You’re so cute & dressed so cozy & warm. My little ones are sad that all of our snow is gone....now we have nasty mud so no playing outdoors for awhile.

 

Thank you...that’s Teddy as my avatar. I just love that wee boy! I also have a little girl Ara sculpt. I personally think Ara is one of the cutest of all the RP sculpts, so full of charm & character. I’m surprised he isn’t more popular. Of course I’m a big soso fan too & even though that is probably the most popular sculpt I’m amazed at how different they can be after face ups etc.

 

I have the Soso, Kaka and Popo faceplates. Yesterday, I put the Soso faceplate on a Pukipuki body and it's not sitting well - both literally and figuratively! Oh, darn - I'll have to expand my collection!

 

This is interesting. I got the LAST PuPu from DDE in late Spring/early Summer 2013 and it came with NO CoA. I mean, I don't see how their CoA's make any difference anyway since they don't say anything or have a number, nothing that corresponds to the doll. I think they should hand-write a serial number inside the doll itself and match it to a Certificate. Recasters can't copy hand-written/painted on. But FL doesn't bother. They just slap out blank Certs that prove nothing.

 

Fairyland are currently considering the demand for a violet Minifee, and they have said they might be open to offering it to other lines as well..

So, if it did go into the pipeline, I'd love to see the option for violet and mint Realpuki. I think the tiniest work well in fantasy colours
