Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 19

Mar 11, 2017

    1. I got the potting table on Etsy a few years ago and have embellished it with bits I've found on ebay. I can't seem to find the shop as yet.

    2. Any Game of Thrones fans here? Prince tells me he's got Targaryen blood. Now I must switch his blue eyes to purple ones at some point. Next he'll be wanting his own dang dragons.

    3. At least get him an egg. :)

    4. Dragons are good!

    5. Love those dragons, @sweetiemom !

I don't know @ElBJD - The little guy will likely set my house aflame trying to hatch a dragon egg. :thumbup

    6. Well at least he won't be harmed, if he's a true Targaryen! :)

    7. Anyone else hoping FL comes out with some cute new RP sculpts soon? Papillio was the last & it seems like a long time ago...must be nearly a year ago.

    8. I love my RPs, but I have been waiting for a new PukiPuki. It has been years since they released anything new for them.

    9. I only have one pukipuki & don't follow them closely so I hadn't noticed that there haven't been any new sculpts in ages until you mentioned it namaro. Wonder why that is.

    10. These photos are so cute!

    11. You're right, it has been a year. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the timing of new sculpts. It looks like Papillio was nearly two years after Toki & Titi, so we may have a way to go still. :( I'm keeping my fingers crossed though!

They sized up Soso & Pupu; I'd love to see them size down some other sculpts (with added elfish ears of course). I think Realfee Mari would make a wonderful RP.

    12. I agree antissa...I would love an RP size Pano too.

Love the Papillio sculpt so much I had to have twins...Keebler & KiKi

    13. @Jonlyn - LOVE the photo of your twins! I need to award it more than one heart.<3<3<3<3

    14. Thank you!

    15. Keebler & Kiki are adorable but your Teddy is my favorite.

    18. Beautiful pic El! Your wee ones are so darling. Looks like they're having a great time.

    19. Fun photo, @El BJD! It almost looks like there are some rhythmic gymnastics going on there.

    20. Thank you both!!! It was more like synchronized gymnastics, to get them all standing still at the same time! And I still didn't fit them all into one single photo!

    21. Oh my gosh - these are just too cute for words!

    22. Here's my Papilio twins, Oakley and Marigold, because I loved @Jonlyn's so much! I posted this photo in the last thread but I didn't manage to catch a good photo of them together on May Day. :O

    23. @El BJD - Those two faces are so stinkin' cute it's no wonder people are turning them into twins. If I had an extra body, I would, too.

    25. Thanks everyone! I always keep an eye open for a spare body. Sometimes I even buy one with a face and then just sell the face. I don't often buy sleeping plates, but I had to this time. :)

    26. Adorable El BJD - love how you have them styled.

    27. All those Papilio twins are so cute! I went to order Papilio, then saw the Pano RealFee and couldn't decide. So I didn't order anything.
I, too, was wondering when a new RP would come out. Are they trying to steer us into RealFee dolls by withholding new sculpts? (because it might work, I really love Pano.)

    28. Oh how I wish FL would do darling Pano in the Real Puki size!

    29. I would be interested in a RealPuki Pano, too!

    30. I would love to see some new Real Puki. And think some of the bigger sculpts would be cute scaled down. (Chloe, Shiwoo and Pano would be my picks, wishful thinking though)

Anyone have tips for very tight fitting faceplates? I received a new Real Puki that has awake and sleeping faces but it is not easy to get either one on or off. I don't want to damage them.

    31. I'd rather have tight fitting than too loose. My guys are forever losing theirs. I suspect the faceplates will loosen up by themselves after a while. In the meantime, I would try easing a fingernail into the space between the faceplate and the headback and see if you can free the faceplate that way. (Without breaking your nail, that is.)

    32. My Realfees Haru and June had such tight fitting OE faceplates, I needed my husband to pry them off. It got easier after a few tries.

I wouldn't mind any of the above mentioned as Realpuki, but I'd also like to see Roro as a Realfee. :)

    33. Thanks for tip, I will try that . I would rather the faceplates stay on, but these won't budge once on...maybe I will just have to get another real puki body later if all else fails lol. These little ones do seem to multiply. :XD:

Hopefully they will loosen up after a while then. Fingers crossed.
Ooh roro as a realfee would be so cute. :)

    34. How difficult to raise yong brother! :Iol:

    35. @NatalyKa - Oh, I LOVE your two Soso's! Also the matching outfits! What fun!:D

    36. Cute brothers, darling picture @NatalyKa

    37. they look so cute together. fairyland needs to do more of the realpuki faces as realfees. they make great sibs!

    38. I'm not really tempted by the bigger dolls but if FL ever did Ara as a realfee I would be thrilled....love my 2 little ones so much. This is Keely, Teddy's twin sister.

    39. Keely is lovely - you always have the greatest wigs and face-ups.

    40. Thank you so very much Merlin's Mom, I'm really enjoying my second childhood.

    41. I agree with @Merlin's Mom about your wigs and face-ups, @Jonlyn. And I do believe I'm enjoying my second childhood better than my first. My toys are so much better this time around!

    42. Thank you @vermont chick . I didn't care much for dolls, loved stuffed animals, still do, but dolls from my childhood were pretty basic. I always loved fairies but there were no fairy dolls back then, just boring cookie cutter dolls, they all looked alike. That probably explains why I love styling my dolls so much now, they're the tiny fairies I always longed for!

    43. i'm enjoying my second childhood too. i'm much more successful at my doll dressing and hairstyling attempts this time round.. my poor barbies could have used replaceable wigs after my ill thought out hair cuts ;) .....and i no longer chew the feet off my dolls, like i did as a preschooler

    44. I want one realpuki, but if is hard to get a wig to my pukipuki, what about this? ;A;

    45. Mine all have wigs I purchased on Etsy-here's my Gracie wearing one from Marie Patterson.

    46. I have a few lovely RP wigs by Marie as well.

    47. I am finally back from my impromptu hiatus and I'm excited to see all the cute dolls again!
A couple weeks ago, I switched bedrooms in my house. I got a nice, big shelf for all my dolls.
I thought they were all pretty sturdy on it, but I guess I was wrong,
I came home to Riddle on the floor. I'm so sad. :(
He has a chip in the blushing on the tip of his chin, the tip of his right ear, and his elbow has a little mark or something.
It could have been so much worse. When I found him, his faceplate was a few inches away from his body.

    48. Oh gosh, poor little guy! No chips in the actual resin though?

    49. I don't think so?
There's the thing with his elbow, but I can't tell if it's a chip or a dent or maybe just a mark?
It's like when he fell, his forearm bent so hard into his upper arm and left a perfect little impression.
I'll try to snap a pic of it later.

    50. Aw! Maybe he likes the old room better and was heading there. :)

    51. Wake up thread! I crocheted some new clothing for my crew. I should probably be using a smaller crochet hook and smaller thread--and I would, if I could see them!

    52. They look terrific, @vermont chick! I have the same problem these days. I've been busy with the garden, so not much time for the little ones.

    53. Thanks! My excuse isn't gardening. I've spent the last month making beachwear (both sewing and crochet) for the dolls I planned to bring to a June doll meet-up. Now that's done I can concentrate on my other dolls.

    54. acreage gardens are a real time drain! mine is finally in decent shape this year so it's not taking every available second just to weed it. so if i could just get my boys to get/stay healthy i might have time for dolls!

    55. Darling outfits Vermont chick.
Happy to see some activity here again too. Wanted to post a picture but Flickr is messing with me. Has anyone else had problems?

    56. I haven't posted pix on DOA for a while but last time I tried, flickr wouldn't let me drag n drop. I had to use the old uploader.

    57. Oh El, I am so tech challenged! Drag n drop is what I do at the end of the day

    58. LOL

    59. I haven't had any problems with Flickr, despite using it almost daily all this week. Drag 'n drop worked for me.
