Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 19

Mar 11, 2017

    1. You could always start a petition to let them know we need to order asap :)

I'm having to finish my collection second hand, but I'd rather go straight to the source.

      I soo want a tan Aki :D

    2. Anyone need a RP fix?

    3. Wonderful photo Xanadu Dolls. They are adorable, and I love their cute little outfits.

    4. @Xanadu Dolls, this really made my day! Thanks, I needed that!:D

    5. Fun photo, @Xanadu Dolls ! They look like a little singing group with one singing the lyric, one harmonizing and one humming along. Love the outfits! Thanks for the RP fix. Thanks, too, for reminding me that my crew could use some new clothes.:thumbup

    6. Thank you @Xanadu Dolls , I did need a fix badly. Thanks for the darling picture!

    7. Thanks Joanne, the outfits were made by a lass on Etsy, she did a great job. :)

I am so pleased they made your day, they are quite mischievous though, so I have to keep my eye on them. :)

Thanks, you're welcome. Heehee! I guess they do, but I'm really not sure how harmonious they are though.

Thank you these little guys make me smile every day.

      Here's another one!

    8. I’m always so happy to see a new post here. The picture & your wee ones are so darling @Xanadu Dolls . The more time passes with no news about our little RPs coming from Fairyland the more I lose hope. They are my very favorite dolls & make up the majority of my collection so, even if FL doesn’t resume production I hope those of us who love these little characters will continue to share here.

    9. Thank you Jonlyn, I wholeheartedly agree, it's always nice to see these tiny wee critters, as they have a habit of making you grin from ear to ear. :) Let's face it, we could all do with a good giggle these days. Like you, I also hope Fairyland does bring out some new little ones in the not too distant future, new releases always seem to spark fresh interest.

I wonder, are there any others who feel the same way? We'd love to see some fresh faces on here. :)

    10. My Roro full set is the only RP in my collection and she has the default faceup's on both face plates and I love her way too much!! I would have loved to get a Tan RP, but they are just as scarce as the line itself.

    11. Delightful photo Xanadu Doll. The tree is fantastic, the whole scene magical.

    12. Could anyone tell me if Ginarolo 6mm eyes, which are round with a stem, will fit in a realpuki? Thank you!

    13. I was going to post a picture but Flickr is not cooperating with me!
Sorry @rosalynmouse , I’ve never used Ginarolo eyes so don’t know if they would fit or not.
I’m so discouraged. Just looked at Denver Dolls website & RealPukis aren’t even listed anymore. Sadly, I really don’t think we will ever see them come back. I really hope I’m wrong! I’m just tired of all of the evasive answers everyone’s gotten when asking about them. If Fairyland has no intention of producing them again, why not just say so!

Trying a new look for my silly Poppy.

@El BJD , almost feels like FL is just teasing us doesn’t it! Of course I’d forgive them in a heartbeat if they started production again

    15. i've been neglecting my dolls for the last year, but from the bit i've seen it almost seems like they are switching over to realfees instead, i love all my 'fees in every size, but my rp soso was my gateway drug to fairyland, and i'd hate to see them go! they are such a fun size to play with and make things for. i've always been something of a miniature nut!

    16. I’ve always loved tiny things too @auntbear . Always wanted a tiny fairy doll as a child but there wasn’t anything like that way back then so my RPs are my dream come true.

    17. Thank you Joanne, I sculpted the tree myself. :)

Thank you, I wish I had a few more of these little critters. :)

Oh this little one is simply delightful, what a happy smiling face and those eyes, WOW!!

Now we could all do with more expressions like this. :)

    18. Thought the tree was great when I first saw it but now that I know you sculpted it it’s even more amazing @Xanadu Dolls ! I’m happy that you enjoyed seeing my Poppy. I ordered lots of new eyes last night. If I can’t have new RPs I might give some of them new looks. Some, but not many as once I feel I’ve found their character I could never change anything about them. I have extra face plates so it might be fun to see what I can do with them.....if anyone else is willing to share a body occasionally!

    19. Good idea re the eyes, Jonlyn! The pukipuki body fits the RP faces, although not perfectly. The body might be easier to find, however.

    20. Thanks @El BJD. I have one Puki Puki, Pukisha that cat-like one. She would be a good one to borrow a body from as she doesn’t get a lot of attention....it’s just so darn hard to compete with all of the RPs!
I just went to Denver Dolls website with phone in hand to call & ask if they have any info about the future of the RPs that they are able to share but I see they’re only open Thursday through Saturday. I’m so tired of waiting, wondering & hoping if it’s never going to happen.

    21. @Jonlyn You are very kind, I think it's way out of proportion compared with the mushroom though. If you do more faceplates be sure to share pics. I'm thinking I need another one myself as I dislike having even numbers. :)

    22. Unless something is so out of proportion that it looks terrible, I think fairies & the proportion of accessories is just a matter of one’s personal preferences....most anything goes in fantasy world!

Thought I’d share an old favorite picture of my white skin soso, Markaysa.

    23. I guess you're right, after all it could be a giant mushroom. LOL!

I love your Markaysa, and that hair, oh my it's so whispy . . . almost like gossamer! :love

    24. @Jonlyn, your Markaysa is absolutely stunning! And I firmly agree with you about scale being subjective in a fantasy realm...pretty much anything goes really. Your setting for her proves the point and is utterly amazing!:)

    25. Some new Pappi pics on my blog...………..just because he was feeling "Happy". Link to Adventures of the Wee Resins in my signature.

    26. @JinCIncy - Love Pappi's outfit! Did you make it? My four have acquired some new clothes for Fall, all crocheted by me. Mine are in dance mode, too. A square dance!

    27. Little Pappi made me feel happy too@JinClncy! Your sweet dancers are so cute in their pretty outfits too @vermont chick ....your crocheting is beautiful!
My poor little ones don’t know how to dress & neither do I. We’ve had the heat on several chilly evenings but the past couple of days have been back in the upper 80s & uncomfortably humid again. I’m so ready for nice cool fall weather!

    28. Thanks @Xanadu Dolls and @Jonlyn. Here are all four of my RPs together. (I purchased the tree years ago. It's an incense burner.)

    29. Sweet outfits, JinCIncy and vermont chick! I love that tree too!

      • x 1
    30. Thanks @El BJD. I guess if you burn incense in the tree it comes out the mouth, but I prefer to think he's singing!

      • x 1
    31. @vermont chick Now why didn't I see that one before, then I could have save myself the bother of sculpting one . . . yours is so much more detailed and I really like the idea he's singing to your very well dressed elves. :love

    32. Don't feel bad, I really like yours. My tree is still available from Medieval Collectibles, along with several other designs. It represents a Greenman.

    33. @vermont chick I'm going to have to check out Medieval Collectibles!
I've been in a bit of a Realpuki mood lately. Poor Titi just can't seem to get away from Nuzzli. More pics of them on my blog linked below.

    34. @JinCIncy - OMG, that photo is hilarious! It looks like Titi is thinking, "How did I end up in this situation?" I've never thought of having my Kaka put the moves on one of the others. Think of the possibilities!

      Love the outfits!:love

I had a couple of new trees in my cart yesterday, then deleted them so I could think about it. The company also has miniature swords that work for FIDs and other minis.

    35. LOL! Nuzzli is always trying to kiss all the other RP's here...…………..Titi is the most patient with her.
I was wondering if the swords would work for some of the dolls! I'm going to have to go look at them again...…………..they had a Scottish inspired one.

    36. @JinCIncy - Just be careful with the length of the swords. Some are a mere 6 inches, which makes the hilt look way out of proportion; you want one in the 9 to 11 inch range, or longer depending on the style.

    37. Thanks! THe one I was eyeing was 9 inches I think. Will go look again.

    38. I recently found 2 swords mounted on a board, from the thrift store. They easily slide off the board. Both are the perfect height for my MSDs. I also found another smaller sword, probably a letter opener. It also has the proper sheath and is perfect for my Realfees. :)

      • x 1
    39. Thanks for the heads up, but I probably won't need another one now. Still it won't hurt to take a peek at what they have, one never knows what they'll find that might come in handy. :)

    40. My crew got an unexpected gift the other day: a Radio Flyer wagon! Let's see how long it takes before the boys push the girls out of the wagon so they can take it for a spin...

    41. So happy to see so much fun activity here!
Darling pic @vermont chick . Hope no one takes a tumble sailing around in their wagon!
I was hoping to take some of my imps out in the woods today to see if we could spot some colorful leaves & good places for photos but it’s been raining so much the last few days I’m afraid we’d get into a mud situation....the boys would probably love that! Guess they will have to stay home while DH & I go for a drive to check out fall colors.

    42. Thanks @Jonlyn! Much as I'd like to take the wagon outside so the kids can enjoy some fall color, rain is the name of the game here, too...along with enough wind to carry our leaves off to Canada.

    47. These are absolutely adorable! Where do you find eyes and wigs for them?

      • x 1
    48. Thanks for the encouragement @El BJD !

Thank you @feymaker . Most of my dolls have eyes by Dreamingtree Studio . Wigs are from the talented artists Mary Sherbet & Marie Patterson.

    50. You're welcome @Jonlyn :)

I have been meaning to ask everyone ~ where do you keep your wee ones? Mine have a house of their own when they are not featured in my stories. If I get time tomorrow I'll take a piccy.

    51. My husband built me 2 room boxes for my Realpuki's (one "inside" and one "outside") and they hang out there. They make me smile every time I walk past them.

    52. Mine have a Calico Critters house which they rarely use, preferring to hang out in the space surrounding it where they have a wishing well and other small props. Come to think of it, their house has been taken over by other tiny dolls (dragons and mermaids, oh my!) so chances of the RPs moving back in are slim to nonexistent.

    53. I have a castle dollhouse I got at Michaels, I'm going to see if my littles like, and am doing a box with bed and chest for my mom's (I'm putting an altoids tin under the bed to store the spare face and hands). I keep thinking about bringing in a lantern or making a hanging house to keep at my desk at work since Soso travels back and forth all the time. My coworkers are always stopping by to see what mischief she's up to because they say she makes them smile.

    54. Mine mostly live on the antique dresser in my guest room but they do move around the house to various shelves & cozy spots. I have lots of great pincushion chairs for them too. They’re getting hard to find, especially the ones by Mary Englbriet (sp?). I love them & I'm so happy that I bought as many as I did....sometimes being an out of control shopper really is a good thing!
Poppy loves this one the most....probably because she really does believe she’s the queen of everything

    55. @Jonlyn - So cute! I remember seeing a Mary Engelbreit chair with Life Is Just a Chair of Bowlies on it. Wish I had bought it. They're as scarce as hen's teeth now.
