that must have been a summer picture? i want to make a fairy garden next... if my quest to eradicate grass and thistles in my existing garden ever gets at least mostly accomplished

Yes, summer! I planted up 2 of my large cement planters that are just outside the garage, so I have a dry staging area, just in case. The props come inside in the fall.

 

hmmm, that sounds like a good idea. a planter would have "clean" dirt and not be infested with the pernicious weeds that the rest of my garden has. of course the way i am with watering planters, my realpukis would only have a desert scene pretty soon....

 

More fun for the Realpukis~they found an abandoned lighthouse on the shore and have been exploring it.

Hey all-
Will ruby red galleria shoes fit my Soso? Looks from the chart like his feet are a smidge bigger than a pukipuki and it says the shoes are for a pukipuki. Just wondering if anyone has tried them....

You might find it helpful to know that instead of doing multiple reply posts in a row, you can use the "quote" feature at the bottom of others posts to add them to a single reply post. Use the "insert quotes" button then type away.

Also if you'd like to mention a specific user, you can put the @ symbol, then their username like I did above.

Welcome Karigan! Wish I could help you with your question re the shoes for real Pukis but I've never tried the Ruby Red Galleria shoes.

 

Hi @Karigan, I haven't tried Ruby Red Galleria shoes either, but I have tried Kelly shoes for both my realpuki and pukipuki, although there's slight differences in some Kelly models now. The jelly shoes always fit, but some of the hard plastic ones don't. I also have a few pair of shoes that were made specifically for RP, from Etsy a few years back.

I can't remember if I posted this one recently, but here's some examples of the Kelly shoes that fit. For some of the black plastic Mary Janes, I cut off the straps so the boys had shoes too.

 

Ruby Red Galleria lists the inside measurements of there shoes. Just choose ones with a little more length.

 

Thanks @El. You have a couple of great looking little ones there. I did find some boots for Rowan on Etsy from TinyBear...really cute, but more winter-ish type wear. Looking forward to Spring. I like your idea of trimming the Kelly shoes. Will have to start looking on ebay for some.

Your girls are wearing wonderful little outfits. Did you knit those? I am planning to try crocheting something similar, but don't really knit well enough to attempt something in the round. Do you know what weight thread they are? So many things to learn and I truly appreciate all the help I'm finding here.

That's so odd! My Soso in the moss green rompers is Rowan!

No, I didn't make their rompers, as I thought I couldn't knit that tiny. I've since made them a few, as the more you try, the easier it gets. They're knitted flat, then the legs are seamed. The yarn is a lace weight.

 

The Papilio twins, Oakland (Oakley for short) and Holly Marigold, have arrived! Oakley is borrowing a body for a while.

 

My Pupu Primrose got the cutest little flower fairy outfit from Woodland Wings! She says she is never taking it off.

@sweetiemom - Love the flower fairy outfit. I have so many silk flowers--you can bet I'm going to try to make a flower dress one of these days. Does it come with wings? I don't see any in the photo.

 

Oh my! They're utterly wonderful...what a delightful pair they make! They're totally cute and look quite full of personality and mischief. You're sure to have your hands full with these two!

I have such a fondness for the Pupu Realpuki sculpt. She's one of the ones that got away from me when I went through a time where I felt I needed to focus on building my collection of larger dolls...and I still miss her. So seeing yours dressed up so wonderfully really made my day. That outfit is completely stunning!

Thanks, Jonlyn! Mine won't be changed out of cold weather clothes for a while yet, as there's 2 more kiddles arriving next week, so more trying on and clothes everywhere! Now they'll all have something I knitted and/or crocheted for them. And looking over their accumulated belongings, I only have 5 flower dresses, so I need to make 2 more, right away! I might also have to make a few tiny wigs for 2 of the girls; I've only made a few in yosd sizes so far. Never a dull moment!!!

 

Such a cute duo El BJD! And wonderful clothes you've made them! Mine are currently in their boxes as I don't have a suitable spot for them right now.

 

I had to put away their little setting last September when we had company for a week. I hope to set it up again this coming week.

 

How exciting El....can't wait to see who is arriving next! Lucky kiddies that you make such fantastic outfits.

The newest little elf on the block arrived yesterday. She says her name is Poppy! She tried on everyone's wig, all the girls' clothes and shoes, then got into the faceup supplies. I caught her with the watercolour pencils. Luckily, I was able to fix up her eyebrows. I need a nap!

The babies are by Shell of Elfinhugs. She sells them on eBay. I am thrilled that you like my photo so much...please share a picture when you hang it in your RPs house. Yes, El, you are an enabler! Now I'm thinking I need a new RP too. Seems like it's about time for Fairyland to release a new sculpt or two.

 

FL has an event opening tomorrow, another minifee centaur and 2 pukifees, at least as I understand it.

 

I'm safe as long as there are no new Real Pukis!

 

I think the event starts March 10th, but they should at least have the dolls posted tomorrow.

@Jonlyn - Thanks for the info. I haven't been to ebay in ages, but I'll make the sacrifice.

So FINALLY the event has begun *headdesk* I'm going to hopefully get my tan Titi (still not liking that name! LOL) and it says I can add it to my current order (Soso) who is still in Item Processing. I had to poke them because I haz no clue how to do that. But yay for the event!

Edit: I think I figured it out, had to wait like an hour for them to put the tan option up for the shoes and the Real puki LOL By combining my old order with my new I should qualify for the Pukifee event head too which is awesome. I'd rather have the event head that I can sell to offset the cost than the calendar.
