Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 18

Aug 1, 2015

    1. Did you order directly from FairyLand or from a dealer like Denver Doll? If you ordered direct, you can check your status on FL's website. At the rate they've been filling orders, you should see something within the next couple of weeks. I ordered a PukiFee on September 24th and she arrived on Saturday--just under two calendar months. Remember though, FL's estimates refer to business days rather than calendar days.

Soso is a great choice. He was my first Realpuki. I now have four. (They like to have friends.)

    2. I ordered from Fairyland directly. I check my order status at least once a day. :) Waiting two months isn't too bad. I waited about 6 months for my first BJD. These Realpukis are just so darn cute! I can't wait to see one in person!!

    4. My Soso is before shipping!!!! Yeah!!!

    5. Big congrats! They generally ship out the day after that status appears.

    6. Yes, you were right! My Soso is "on shipping'!!

    7. My Soso came today and she is so sweet!

    9. Congrats! She's adorable!

    10. OMG!!! She is so cute!!! Love the wig you have on her, did you buy it like that? I don't think I have ever seen such perfectly tight ringlets. :)

    11. @Ryishe - Your Soso is perfect!:D Love her dress--and the wig! Where did you buy it? Or did you make it? She is beautifully put together.

    12. She is SO cute ! I love her wig !
Here is mine (this is the first picture I'm posting, I hope I'm not making a mistake...) - Her name is Marmousette (like the marmouset, but feminine name of the itty bitty animal)

    17. Great photo! Merry Christmas to you and your family including the resin ones:)

    18. Such wonderful photos of your little ones, everyone. They're absolutely magical! Thank you all for really brightning my day!:D I had a couple of realpukis once, but alas...they did not fit into my crew at the time, they were just too small. So I set them free to find loving new homes, and of course I've mourned their loss ever since.:( But I told myself I wouldn't adopt another one without an excellent reason and purpose to do so. And I have! Last week I had a sudden health scare that sent me to the doctor...who then put me in a wheelchair and rushed me to the emergency room himself! Don't worry, fortunately it turned out to be much ado about nothing, and elaborate tests and an entire day spent in the ER happily revealed a "best case scenerio". But it was pretty scary at the time obviously, and I kept thinking "if only I had a little doll to calm me down and reduce the stress of it all." When I came home, I immediately went to the DoA marketplace and put a little realpuki Aki on a short layaway. She'll be coming home early next month. I'm already working on the perfect little travel box for her.

    19. So thankful you're going to be ok, PoeticSoul!!! I keep one of mine in a hard eyeglass case, so I can take her with me too. :)

    20. Hi Poetic Soul...well I have to tell you my Realpuki's are the most different dolls from my entire collection too but I just allow myself to have them because when I take a peek they ALWAYS make me smile :) I am so happy that you are well and that you will now let yourself have one of these tiny dolls. They really are smile-makers and a necessary addition to any kind of doll collection...or any other kind of collection for that matter haha!

      Happy holidays!

    21. ha I am sure someone here must have bought it :thumbup it is so cute and when I did put it on it was still for sale.....At the moment I am shopping for a different size doll:)

    22. I did see that sweet little felted peapod on etsy, and I totally loved it...but I had to be good because I'm still in the process of paying off my little realpuki.:sweat I do so hope someone here managed to snag it because I would certainly love to see photos in the future.

And thank you so much, @LyanneNZ. And yes, you are so right...realpukis fit into any collection! Isn't it funny how we sometimes set odd, arbitrary limits on our collecting...and why, when it makes no sense at all in the end and we wind up truly regretting it!:doh I certainly won't be making that mistake again.;) After all, sheer cuteness alone is enough of a reason to warrant realpukis in our lives.

    27. Happy New Year to all!

I miss posting here but I use an iPad & haven't figured out if it's possible to post from Flickr to here. Does anyone know?

    28. yes, it is possible to post photos from flickr. You must use the share arrow in the lower right and choose BBcode. I don't know if there are any issues doing it on an IPad.

I know he's not on topic, but I don't have many pictures on flickr. OT picture deleted.

I should retake that photo with her in better clothes...

    34. Thank you PoeticSoul!
Your Kali is so cute Leo Phoenix. Her current outfit is really cute with that off the shoulder style.
My Truly thinks it's a great time to stay inside with a good book & I agree...the wind chill factor tonight will make it feel like 20 below zero!

    38. Am loving all the spam, but for me this one takes the cake! :) Truly gorgeous.

    39. Miss Truly says thank you Xanadu Dolls❤️

    40. I can finally add to this thread. I love lurking and it's been nice seeing other elves. I've been recovering from surgery over the Christmas New Year break and now am almost back to normal functioning, but it was wonderful to come to DoA when I was less than mobile. Thank you to all of you that take the time to share your little ones.

    42. He is adorable! Love his wig.

    43. So cute! His wig is perfect with his eyes. Glad you are on the road to recovery and feeling better.

    44. Thanks everyone. The wig is from the lovely BerkanaNvrldCreation on etsy. It makes Pippin feel bold and daring. ;)

    45. @Buzzibee, your little guy is so cute and I absolutely love his face-up...those eyebrows are fabulous! I'm a fellow lurker here who can finally join all you wonderful Realpuki people with my own little Fairyland treasure.:) This is Morticia, my new Fairytand Aki. She's a Halloween fairy with a sweet but spooky edge. If you don't believe in Halloween frights or don't give out treats to the kiddies on the appropriate night, she will come out of the forest to hunt you down and bite you on the neck to instill the appropriate Halloween spirit!

    46. Happy to see this thread picking up again.
Pippin is adorable Buzzibee. Hope you're feeling much better now.
Love Morticia PoeticSoul...what a great idea with a Halloween fairy & her outfit is just perfect!
I can never remember how often or what time of year Fairyland usually releases new RPs but I'm hoping sometime soon. Can't have too many of these little darlings!

    47. Love her back story - what a cutie!

    48. What a great character Morticia has, PoeticSoul! My Kali is quite found of Halloween too...

    49. Thanks so much for all your lovely and kind comments about my beloved little Morticia. I adore her so! Sewing for her is really difficult though..definitely a labor of love because I'm trying to cram so much detail in there! But worth it in the end because she's coming out just as I envisioned her character. My idea was for her to look like a walking illustration from a children's fairytale book.

Oh my, just look how adorable he is! And I love those pumpkins...what an awesome collection of them he has. That photo is pure awesomeness!:D

And I just finished Morticia's second outfit.:)

    50. @PoeticSoul Thanks, I did his eyebrows myself. I wanted something more cheeky/quizzical than the default grumpy ones he came with.

Morticia is adorable! I love the flapper feel of the dress with the lace and headdress. She does look like a living illustration.

    51. Those eyebrows are terrific! Did you just add them on top of the existing ones?

    52. @El BJD Nope, I did what most say is too difficult/can't do and got rid of his existing ones. I resealed, then added my own. I think it worked because their faces are so small, the resealing smoothed away any 'layered' look from taking off the sealant.
