it fits better if you change the whole head, not all the faceplates seem to fit

 

I did this to my Roro when she had the default faceup - I just wiped the lips with a Q-Tip and re-did them. She has since gotten a whole new faceup but here is a pic of her after I modded her the first time

Love your pukipuki Ante, desertmountainbear! And your Roro, Ban! Here's my 4 Rps, all 4 faceups by Ban, although my Ashton (Pupu) was done before he came to live with me. Tyni Lyndon came back all grown up! Ginger is Ashton's sister, recreated by Ban, who he hasn't seen for over 8 months! I love them all!!! Fortunately though, he's adopted a backstory for it. Twix is a real-world fairy, so OBVIOUSLY he got in a scuffle with a cat... obviously.

 

Oh gosh, Calabri! I'm always worried about their ears. Perhaps you can just carefully sand it down, and even make the other one match.

That shot of your RP body with the Ante head has so tempted me to try and find an Ante head to Frankendolly, desertmountainbear. The combo just makes such a cute little fellow!

Yikes Calabrie! I think that's every RP owner's nightmare. You can fix it with Apoxie Clay, which is an air dry clay. It dries whiteish, so you will have to paint it to match though.

 

Oh no! I always fear that I'll do just that and I try to be extra careful but these little buggers tend to wiggle about in your hands ;-) Wonder if this can be repaired by glueing it back on?

Oh noooooo but at least you have a great story to explain it and in the end, it's little things like a broken ear, that make these dolls unique!!! I think it adds to his character greatly

 

To be honest, ruining the blushing on his other ear is enough for me to not bother... It sucks at first, but I don't really mind breaking things like fingers and ears at the end of the day.

I don't think I'll bother ^ - ^ The apoxie will break easier than resin, so even though I'm going to try suuuuper hard to be more gentle with him, and apoxie is renewable, I probably can't be bothered.

The tip disappeared - we looked a little bit but it's probably gone tbh, to be hoovered up with the rest of the tiny, nondescript pieces. I don't really mind though. There'd be a nice white line if I clued it back xD

Yeah! I have a PlanetDoll Emma who fell and broke one of her pinkie-fingers too, and in the end, I decided that it just gave her more dimension! ^ - ^ When you have character-less dolls, like I do, backstory is welcomed. xD


Anyway, earlier that day, before he was dropped, my sister bought some Sylvanian Families food packs (Kitchen cooking and Breakfast sets) for him and his future girlfriend! (my sister is saving for a Realpuki Roro eventually)

Whee, I can join this thread. I will be adopting/trading for a friend's fullset Tyni this weekend. I'm just hoping I can manage with someone so, well, tiny. She'll need a wig and more clothes and I have a little dollhouse kit and, and, and..I think I'm in trouble.

 

Desertmoutainbear, did you do the face up for your Ante PP? It is a work of art! And how about your Soso on Flickr? Another masterpiece!!!

I used something I would NEVER recommend - 100% pure acetone. I know most people like Windsor Newton but I hate it ... sorry

 

I use Windsor Newton for the areas I just can't get with the Magic Eraser, but to agree with Ban - I do hate the WN! It leaves a horrible sticky residue that additionally needs to be removed via Magic Eraser. I hate doing faceup removal but it's rare that I get the look I'm after on the first try.

 

Does anyone have a solution to managing the way the joints seem to "spring back" on a realpuki. Particularly the arms always fold in when I'm trying to pose them.

I think this is your signature. If you go to settings see if you have it in your signature, you can just then remove it, or change it.

Thanks for the comments here on the Ante Realpuki. He was just an experiment, I did not leave him like that, although he was very cute.

 

Opal, you will love the teeny-tinies!!! They do need a lot of stuff though!!! I am working on a doll abode for mine! And they are addictive- I got Tyni first, then he needed a friend who needed two more friends- who need........ It may never end!!! Robin

I've only tried one face up, at a Volks dopa here in NYC. I still have the materials I bought for that class. I think I'll dig them out of my crafts supply mountain and give it another go.

Lol, Wistcottage, if I can handle Tyni, I may add a friend for her. I particularly like Roro, but we'll see. I do have a little house kit, and lots of other stuff already. I can just see Tyni/Timble with my Soom centaur girl... I think I'm in trouble.

 

opal you really are in trouble, you are finding out the addictive properties of rps before you even get your first! i swear fairyland puts something in the resin. i was only planning one of each size and now i have multiples of some of the sculpts!

 

Lol, I do have other Fairyland dolls (4 LTF plus 2 face plates), and have even more on the *must have* list. Tyni will be my first teeny tiny and I'm nervous, I don't normally deal with the really littles very well. Here's hoping...

 

LOL You are in trouble-and they multiply like rabbits! (but they are so cute it's a grand addiction)

 

then you know how addictive fairyland dolls are already! and since you have the dollhouse kit too, you have or will soon discover the other side which is creating all the worlds they live in. it is so much easier to do for realpukis since you can usually use or adapt dollhouse stuff, which is much easier to find (at least for me) than things the right scale for the bigger dolls

 

True, and things for the RealPukis should take up much less space...so they can have more stuff, lol!

 

Patience, mostly, but I've heard that spraying MSC on the body joints can add a bit of grab. There's also wiring and sueding but I haven't tried this on such a small scale.

oh my dolls, I missed this thread! it's nice to see all the new faces but not nice to see the broken ear >_< my Soso fell once and ruined the makeup in one ear but I was really scared that it was broken as I saw a little piece flying away (it was a hand xP)

anyway my FL order has been shipped yesterday, so I have Tyni and Kaka -both in tan- coming!! I hope that custom will release them soon!

Well, after a long debate I decided to go ahead and order Toki. Now I just get to sit here and gripe about the wait for the next 7-8 months.
Their wait time was cause for the debate, but I really want him/her (haven't decided who he/she will be yet). You know they're going to keep having events and new doll releases on top of already being 7 months back-logged! I'm a little disgusted, but, I want that doll!
