Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 15

Feb 15, 2014

1. Cute princessR! Love his pants! Perfect for a little steampunk RP!
lefaye, I've good luck with the vinyl or soft rubber shoes for the Kelly dolls that tabloach carries. The hard plastic ones are TOO small though.

2. wow this thread is going fast, great!!..love all the girls and boys, they are all so different and all have a real own personality.....I forgot to put up a picture of the hats that I snatched from desertmountainbear....soso is so happy with it she also got a pair of shoes....the other head is on my naripon now, it looks like it is made for him.and if you search on etsy for realpuki or amelia thimble or petite blyte you will find lots of nice things :)...it depends on what style you like....Nubanded sells cute thing under petite blythe dall.......etsy is so much fun...I buy (too)much there :)

3. Wilkies Soso is really looking lovely in that hat!

Really enjoying all the steampunk looks!

4. Oh wilkies, those costumes are great! Especially love the 'worn' look of the hats! Are they leather?

5. PrincessR, Tyni is so cute. I love his little pants. I have a very difficult time finding tiny knitted stripes. Did you make these? Do you or anyone have a source for tiny stripes?

wilkies, it tickles me pink every time I see these two in those hats, especially your Naripon, he is such a funny fellow, and that hat is perfect for him.

6. wilkies those hats are wonderful. the gears on them are sooo tiny!

7. You probably have heard of this Desertmountainbear, I get my tiny stripes from the baby and toddler departments. If you can find leggings, they work great! At places like Target you can get some pretty good buys.

8. desertmountainbear:
those hats are just too adorable. You are so talented. Love your face ups, the wigs you make and now clothes. On Etsy, I found some knitted tiny stripe material from the seller Funkalicious Fabrics. (I don't know how to insert a link) There is not a huge selection in the tiny stripe size (1/8" and I think they had 1/16") but a yard can do a lot of tiny clothes.
Botflybaby: I think for vehicles 1/12 scale is too big for RP. Awhile back I bought a motorscooter advertised as 1/12 size for my PukiPuki. I think it is too big for him. He kind of has to sit on the very front edge of the seat and then lean over to put his hands on the handles. Plus his feet do not reach the resting place where feet go on motorscooters. If I can find it, I will take a picture of my RP on it.

9. botflybaby, i dont know if they would work, but i hope so! some of them are really cool. my guys are begging for a snowmobile now

10. I agree with namaro. I've used 1/16 scale (Calico Critter/Sylvanian) vehicles before with Pukipuki and Realpuki and that seemed to fit very well. I suspect 1/12 might be too big.

11. Botflybaby, I think it depends on how you want your RPs to look - like little kids with vehicles that are a bit over-sized, or like little adults with vehicles that make them look like grown-ups.

Here's my RP family in some pedal cars that were sold as being 1/10th scale. That would technically be larger than 1/12th, but I think they look perfect for my kids. Their feet don't reach the pedals on some models, but others seem to be "just right".

[IMG][/IMG]

12. now that's adorable

13. Here's an old photo of Trixie on a motorcycle that I'm almost positive I got at the dollar store. I'm not sure what scale it would be, but Trixie looks OK on it. Her legs aren't long enough, obviously, but she sits on it and makes "zoom zoom" noises. This time Trixie got caught by Amelia, the real owner of the motorcycle.

14. thanks for all the info, guys! i see my titi as being more adult like rather than a childish fairy, but that could always change once i get him in my hands

15. Gosh, what wonderful photos everyone! I've been busy in the garden! Didn't even have time to take pix of my little ones with the miniature iris! I hope to get some pix next week, as the RPs are watching World soccer with my husband and having great fun.

16. Wonderful photos, they really help the time pass while I wait for my first realpuki to arrive from Fairyland! :)

17. How exciting, lilliput! I got my first realpuki back in November and now I'm waiting on #5! :)

18. Oh, wonderful. I love it!

Perfect cars!!! :D
WOW, fantastic Glass House!

19. What a lovely first dress, Lulu!

20. very pretty!

22. Beittoven has been rather busy working on Mellowdi's house so he hasn't had much chance to keep up with all the pretty girls here :wiggle
It's a good thing it will still be a few months before she and Moe Zart arrive as there is still a lot of work to do. Poor Miss Daisy the Realtor hasn't had any luck in finding a pub for Moe yet either.

Scratka-dolls That is a lovely first dress Lulu is wearing. She looks very sweet!

fayette2009 Love, love love your little glass house! And now I have an idea for another doll planted in my head!

It's a good think there is no technology in Butterlea or Beittoven would be drooling all over the motorcycle and wee cars!

really enjoying this thread. There is such a wealth of talent and creativity here.

29. What a hard worker Beittoven is! That's such a lovely forest setting, Fayette! Bergamote looks so cute in those overalls! And what a lovely dress by desertmountainbear! Mina looks so perfect in it! That guitar is just the right size for them, costleyhobby (isn't it though!)

30. Mina & I thank you all!

Bergamote looks like the star of the circus in his super cute overalls. Your musical duet couldn't be any cuter costlyhobby.

Wanted to welcome little Yee a few pages back too. Anxious to see more pics as the Ara sculpt is second only to soso for me....hmmm, that is probably actually a tie as I am so happy with my Teddy boy that I bought a second that will be a girl.

35. Oh my gosh, what wonderful photos in this thread! Thank you to everyone for sharing. And thank you to those who enjoyed seeing my little ones in their cars & on the motorcycle.

Tan Roro -- Wow, she is gorgeous!
Dresses, kittens, guitars, forests, glass houses - I love them all. I apologize if I've missed anyone - it's not intentional. :kitty2

I just have to share this photo with all of you. My teensy Dream High Studios "Boo Giggles" arrived today. His name seems to be "BeeGee", but that might change once I get to know him better. Here's Trixie with her new friend: (also pictured: Amari (Haru DHS) and Fiona (Fira DHS)).

37. Sassy looks very happy about her new kitties!

What a sweet group of little ones FayFl. I love the DHS micros. Will have to take some pictures of them playing with my RPs so they can drop in here too.

Steampunk picnic trinlayk ? Sound like a lot of fun. Is it here in WI.? ( I'm a Sconnie too)

Sarang and Bara try out their terarrium for the Steampunk Picnic.

41. Georgette IS pretty in curls.

Thanks EL BJD. I can't stop taking pictures of her!

Love the clock terrarium trinlayk. What a clever idea.

42. I love the tan Roro. I want one! Want them all!

GrammaDoll

I don't know if this is the right place to ask (I'm new), but I want to remove the airbrushed lip color from my RealPukis and re-do it with a teeny brush. How can I remove paint from such a small area?

GrammaDoll

43. It is hard to remove the faceup from just one area on the face. The sealer that is used changes the color, so when you remove an area it appears to be a different color. You can try to use Windsor and Newton brush cleaner on a stiff tiny paint brush and see if you can remove just the lips, but you may end up having to remove more.

44. Thank you! I'll try it and let you know how it goes.

GrammaDoll

45. Darling girls sweetiemom.

Hope you have good luck with your project GrammaDoll. I have been tempted to do that too but always chicken out & leave it to the pros.

Happy weekend to all!

46. Thanks for the good wishes. I may end up asking the pros to fix my handiwork, but I think it'll be fun to give it a try. Doesn't have to be perfect. And it's all I good fun!

GrammaDoll

47. I don't want to sound too ignorant here but will a puki puki face plate fit on a real puki?

48. Primrose and Peaches look wonderful in their new wigs, sweetiemom! Rae, I had both my Tyni and Kaka face plates on pukipuki bodies. They looked in proportion to me, although I had to use a bit of silicone to hold them safely on.

49. I believe so, yes

50. The answer to this is yes, but they do not fit flush where it connects to the head back. A wig or hat would be needed to hide that.
Here is pukipuki Ante on a realpuki body.
