Fairyland RealFee Discussion Part 3

Afallon is heading out to do some practice running with her new satyr legs. It's still lightly raining, so she's on her own, plus Caliburn's satyr legs won't arrive til Christmas.

Yes, I just did a long layaway and they did let me know when it was in. I could pay it off or continue with layaway

I'd like to make Flynn a fluffy tail (Juniper isn't wearing her's for the picture, or her wings for that matter) and blush her legs but that's it, unless inspiration hits me. (hard 'cause I'm lazy )

Very cute Rumiko, I love the little crate of apples. Those Bambicrony wings are addictive, I have all the colours now.

Thank you Teddy. The pants still need a little refinement, they were slightly too big in the waist, but they are acceptable with a drawstring through.

 

Good to get them something to do right away!

 

Very nice look with the short pants, Xanadu Dolls! I only posted my dress on the Knitting Circle thread a while back; my Pano was kind enough to try it on as May was busy. I used Katia Jaipur, which is a very soft cotton. I really like it. I only ordered the one ball to try it. I need more!!

Aw, thanks! Here's my Afallon this time, with her satyr legs and a little crocheted bolero to match the dress.

 

Sooo, this may be a dumb question, but I cant get Pano's faceplate off for anything! Which way am I supposed to be pulling?

 

I do the same - it got easier after a doing it a couple of times but they really fit snugly.

Working on Thistles faceup, im not sure if I want to go heavier with the freckles or not..

Here's a little comparison for anyone sewing for Realfee. I did a paper napkin test fit of MyOwnLittleWorld's pattern, "The Little Dress".



On the left is the YoSd version printed out at 85%. On the right is the Lati Yellow SP size used in it's original size. The borders along the bottom of each test fit are just showing what the final length would be once the ruffle was added.

My opinion is that the Lati Yellow SP size was the best fit of the two but would need added length. The armholes could also be a little deeper. I'm thinking that the best bet might be to add a very small amount of depth to the shoulder area, which would lower the neckline and increase the armhole depth at the same time. Then any additional desired length could be added at the hemline or where the ruffle attaches.

My Mari girls arrived today and they just reminded me of chocolate and strawberry milk! I also checked FL and my full set is on before shipping, so everyone else's full sets shouldn't be too far away!

Awe congrats on your two adorable Maris! I love how the pink resin turned out. Can't wait to see how you dress them & give them a face. Sometimes I think the pink one would look adorable with a light blue or even a red wig? I thought of the red wig because of Strawberry Shortcake character. It could also be cute if pink one has a brown wig while the tan one has a pink wig.

Was there a Realfee event faceplate? Or are you talking about the Pukifee or Littlefee faceplates?
The Pukifee event plate I have says Fairyline RA

 

Seeing that pink skin is kind of making me regret not getting her in it. Oh well, I know I'll still love her in NS. Hopefully the DDE orders will be in soon. I'm so excited seeing everyone's Mari's!

Thank you, I will keep your suggestions in mind. I was thinking of giiving the pink a light brown and the tan a pink wig, but I guess we'll see what develops once their faceups are done.

Hey, don't despair, there's always next time. Maybe one will come up on the MP. They shouldn't be too far away, FL are moving pretty quick.

I took a leap of faith and hoped she would be this pink and not peachy pink, I love her. Not sure yet about her character, but I have no doubt she'll tell me.

they are both adorable! i thought i had managed to avoid ordering a mari, but the more i see them the more i am tempted to put one on layaway at dde i just don't know if i want to get a ns or a ws a try dyeing her a pale mottled turquoise and make a water sprite...

that's really helpful. have you tried upsizing from pukifees by any chance? i have one or two patterns in that size i wanted to try altering and was wondering if you knew the percentage offhand.

No I haven't. Any patterns that I have in Pukifee size I also have in Littlefee. I figured upsizing would be more accurate than downsizing so I never actually tried it. Let me know if you give it a go.

Funny, I had that actual faceplate in my hands (without your gorgeous faceup of course) and she inspired me to order one for myself. Every time I see your photos of her I want to HURRY UP already with sending me another. *sigh*

 

H'okay finally have some progress to share! This is my first face up and I had a lot of fun. I gave him a little Pict inspired tattoo because yay faerie folklore and stuff. His name is still being as wily as he is.



He will be getting some eyelashes when my Mari order comes in from DDE. Next step is to make another wig out of the mohair I purchased and sculpt some alternate horns. And clothes at some point....

Edit: full body pic with better(?) lighting. I'll take him outside for some official pics when the weather and light are better suited =3
