Fairyland PukiPuki discussion part 8

Good lord, Neyahala.... you're up mighty early. Realpukis are cute, but not quite a heartbreaker for me, so I'm safe there.

...when the Darjeeling came out, I know a lot of folks thought she was the puki version of Ante...

But now that I see the LTF Bisou face, I'm thinking that's the LTF version of Darjeeling!!

 

Uh, I don't like those real puki at all XP and I am depressed the only thing for the regular puki is that pumpkin head? I'm...kinda depressed! The only think I'm looking forward to with this is seeing the pumpkin head pictures T_T

 

I'm so hoping the pumpkin head, is literally a Pumpkin head! With a little jack-o-lantern face. 8D OMG how cute would that be? So, um, if it is...I'm totally buying my minifee. And the scarface/arm set sounds really neat.

I agree with the Brian Froud comment, they look a LOT like his artwork. I have several of his books with faeries and stuff from the Dark Crystal, etc. I like that sort of thing, but not so much for a doll.

Ack! RealPukis creep me out a little bit. But I like the bodies. I would love to put a puki face on one just so I can have two FL tinies that are not the same.

I would like to point out that Bisou looks EXACTLY like a bigger version of Darjeeling. And Rachel looks like a MNF Rheia.

WANT to see Scar Arm and the event heads!!! A MNF breakaway? That's just cruel.....

 

Why do they have to offer me a Breakaway head and scar arm on top of everything that I was already going to get from them? Now I'm going to have to buy a minifee body too or else he is going to feel unloved just sitting around as a head while Robin laughs at him. But $300 dollars to have a body for a head that I didn't anticipate? I might as well just shell out an extra $100 at that point and pick up the shiwoo head as well.

This is not what I meant when I said that Fairyland should start its event.

 

OMG My fiance just ordered me a LittleFee Flora basic set for our 1yr engagements anniversary!!! I'll be getting the pukipuki pumpkin head from the event! My honey powns!

I know!!! I was stunned when we were sitting there and he told me to put her in the shopping cart... I was very confused, but he took the mouse and totally checked out and put his billing info in! I'm with you on this LuckyXIII!! I woke up this morning, went to the computer, went to the FL site, saw the RealPukis and thought . . . I got worked up over this!!!????

They are cute but I'm not a big fan of gnomes. Those of you who have SDs might use them for your dolls "familiars" but I can't see what they could contribute to my existing Puki family I still would like to see the pumpkin head but I'm now beginning to think I'll wait to see if any show up in the MP

Personally I'm quite in love with the Real Pukis but I can't afford them. Pytte would have loved to meet someone smaller than herself though since she's got a size complex.

That's amazing Mortifox! Guys who are willing to help their girls get dolls are awesome. And she is a present that you will always remember and care for.

On the plus side of this event, I won't have to deal with any last minute desires to get yet another puki, just the feeling that I am being conned into buying a Minifee... I felt guilty enough spending $600 on two pukis and all their stuff. Now Fairyland has me considering getting a Minifee just so that I have a body for a head. But I would end up getting a Chiwoo, then I would go over the $1000 and end up getting both a Breakaway and a Shiwoo head as well. Three heads for one body probably wouldn't work too well.

 

I do think the little fee are cute, but I don't think I'd like that size too much. I like my big sds and my pukis the best. I have one msd but she doesn't get as much attention as the others. I may end up selling her but I want to hold onto her longer since I haven't had her long.

I'm still planning on getting my ghost puki but right now she has to wait a couple weeks until I have the money. Stupid bills come first and they are all due this week 0.0

 

That about summarizes where I am. Bah, I guess I will just break up my order and start putting them in one at a time. Easier to pay off that way and they can come home faster. Now for me to decide what I want first...

 

You know Lucky, I actually think I love that size best. I also have the desire to clutch J'Tem all around my house (I am secretly five). But it is a really different feeling than my MSD. I agree the LTF sets are cute. Something to add to my list.

I can't wait to see the pumpkin either. Like you said MagicWhiteLady, hopefully it is similar to the skull mask. Unfortunately I am now torn between littlefee Bisou and Ante.

 

I'm glad the pumpkin will be available eventually as a magic item, it sounds like it could be really cute! I hope they get photos up soon, it took nearly a week for them to get the photo up for the Scar Shiwoo event! I'm dying to see the Breakaway, I hope I don't want it because I really can't afford it. It looks like the realpuki bodies are more poseable in the torso than the existing Pukis, I hope they post some comparison pics and that they eventually offer them as non-fullsets. They'd probably sell the most just offering the bodies with Puki faceplates, though!

 

Well, I think my piggy bank is safe from molestation for the moment since no new Pukipukis have been released in Chocolate. Whew! While I find these new little ones to be kind of whimsical, I don't think they're for me. I'm curious about the pumpkin head though.

 

from the way they are describing the Puki Pumpkin head with be similar to the skullmask. it will also fit puki but not the realpuki's.

I totally agree I have MOST of his fairy and goblin books. I even had his fairy tarot cards a while back! lol I think that is the reason I kinda want one. lol

 

I got up when Dan left for work. Actually, i've been awake since his alarm went off. at 5:30 this morning -_- I hate school.

Just popping in here to show a pic of my little kittyface....I didnt intend to show him off at all untill i completely finished him, clothes and all...but i did his painting last night, and while i'm not happy with it and need to figure out how to fix it and redo it (and unstring/restring again D= ) i really like how he's shaping up >.o

Oh, little maha doesnt yet. XD I intend to make his full outfit, too, once i get his painting finished.

Paint is dumb D= i need to get the paint to cooperate @_@ I painted him, let the parts dry overnight, sealed them with Zouk spray this morning, then put him back together. By the time i had everything on, almost all of the joints had paint rubbing/peeling off of them already D=


When i get him all done, i'll prolly make one of my other dolls a white dress to pair with a certain floofy white mohair wig, just for some photoshoots XD

Well, I'm sorry, but I this little guy! I think that the violin is totally worth the $$$, considering that Fairyland did go to the trouble of sculpting new hands to hold it. Besides I already have two Violinists at home; one SD and one MSD. The super small Tyni would look too cute perched on the SD's shoulder! If I can scrape together the cash, I will name him "Cricket"
...And I think those shoes have great detail! I definitely like "Tyni" and his set better than "SoSo." SoSo seems kinda devious, and not as exuberant as Pong. When I look at Pong, I hear Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" in my head... played on kazoos

SO: If this "Pumpkin Head" will be considered a magic item, it sounds to me like it will be a pumpkin-shaped-helmet-thingy (like ChiChi's pig-skull mask), rather than a new character-face named Pumpkin. I will have to see one first, and by the time FL posts a pic, they may already be gone... don't forget, FL has to fill Asian and European orders, too!

 

From what I have heard, the pumpkin head is simply going to be a magin item such as the skull mask. And wow... how long do you think orders that were placed right before and during the event will take to ship out???

 

Oh I really like the new stuff Realpuki is such a sweet little elf like creature and the pumpkin mask...well my birthday is on October so I am thinking that might be the perfect present for myself lol.

BTW, I just got my Puki in today! Ordered on Saturday and she arrived today. Quite excellent shipping I must say! I will post pics as soon as I can ^_^

 

Tyni will absolutely end up on my wishlist! I love SoSo as well but Tyni is my favorite!

And it WOULD be adorable with a little violinist on the shoulder of a big violinist.

ok so today was gonna suck right I thought I had to take my dog to the pound, ended up not having to today atleast..... my bf may be able to take her with him to florida while checking to see if he missed anything important guess what

the bestest most amazingest thing happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FOUND MIYUKI! it's TRUE I DID! lol she is home! She needs a "bath" and a a new faceup! lol but she is okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes yes she is! She has had her clean down, one of the magnets fell out of her foot but has been reglued! and she is already in the process of her faceup! lol So I am POSITIVE she is happy to be home lol thanx!

she was still in the old trailer in a plastic bag with some clothes and stuff....not sure HOW she got there lol but yea! lol

 

Just a few more hours/or days until I can get my little ones! Their home is almost completed and Kelly dolls are making certain that everything is to the correct scale. I don't even care if Fairyland gets behind on orders because of the event. I'll just feel better once I know that they have been paid for and will be on their way shortly there after.

It's great to hear that you found Miyuki, MikaRen.

As for the Realpuki, they certainly look more real in the faces than most of the Fairyland sculpts, even if they are fantasy based. Tyni is cute, but I don't think I'll get him. I'll probably just admire him in owner pics once the first ones get here. Didn't I read something about the Realpukis being sold more as limiteds than the other pukis because of how hard they are to make?

 

YAY! MikaRen, I'm so glad Miyuki is home! We do miss Miyuki spam. (HINT HINT HINT)

...didn't you get a "new Miyuki" type deal? What are your plans there?

 

Looks like the realpukis are jointed more like the Minifees in the torso, I can't wait to see how they pose! I'm not a huge fan of big-head-little-body (the Pukifees bother me, actually!) but I want to see what the regular Puki faces look like on Realpuki bodies. Though I'm tempted to put the smiley one on my "someday" wishlist as a fairy of some sort.

oh trust me I am done with her faceup (also out of MSC gotta take a run to knoxville lol) and she is getting her self primped and ready! lol Well luckily I spent part of the money on getting my boy puki and Miyuki was just sharing his body, so Thistle will get his body to himself (that sounded sooooooo wrong! lol) and I will decide later about the rest of the money.....maybe a Soso or towards an LF lol
