I think it is, Jen... at least, that's the time we all seem to be holding our breaths for! (And wouldn't it just bite if they didn't post it until it's 31 August everywhere?!)

Do they usually get the event stuff up right at opening time? I had the feeling that last time it wasn't till like the afternoon....can't remember though. Hope its early - I can't stay up late, have to teach in the morning

 

Remember last time? The PukiFee event they said it would start on 5/15, and people were up all night? And the PukiFee event started on 5/15. But not Korea time.

Of course, now that I have said out loud that I doubt it will start when FL opens, it probably will.

 

Boy . . . I'm gone for a few days and things just take off in this thread!! Everyone's pictures are great (and I voted for Mym's picture, BTW). . . .

As for the event, I don't have to do anything tomorrow, so I'm for an all nighter if necessary . . . I feel like I'm in school again . . . but now I have my own credit cards Woo HOOOO!!!

lol yea, I estimated the time to be 9pm eastern according to the time it is over there. I hope its at 9pm if not I will be truly sad because my attendance is needed on the xbox tonight, and my laptops are both beign fixed, so the only comp I have is FAR from the xbox lol

and if there IS a tinier pukisha I may be doomed too, but not sure! lol

 

How long, exactly, do these events run? I'd like to wait until my next paycheck comes in.

 

I think that they usually run a few weeks . . . so I think you'll be fine.

 

FairyLand Events usually last at least a month.

 

All depends on the event, FL usually a few months, sometimes it's the first so many costumers

So while i'm waiting for the event, i'm working on my kittyface. I successfully modded his 'human' ears off last night, and now i'm unstringing him so i can do all his painting =D TEENY TINY PUKI BITS EVERYWHERE! XD;

 

I looked at fairyland's website...sweetnhoney isn't on their list of dealers...

 

Oh my... does that mean that the information on "RealPuki" is innacurate? Or perhaps sweetnhoney is a relatively new dealer that FL has not added to their list yet?

 

Hello, everyone! Thanks for your enthusiasm for our new event and dolls. I wanted to say that if it is late night over where you are, please go to sleep and check back in the morning or later, because we're currently working on product pages of new dolls which is taking big longer than we've expected (our events have always started later in the afternoon...)

This is JUST like stalking a BPAL update, complete with someone from the company popping in to tell us to go to bed already because the update is taking longer than planned, LOL! (That's Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, for those who don't know - they make amazing perfume oils and have new limited editions on the full moon each month, plus big seasonal lines - lots of frantic update stalking going on for those!)

I'm so looking forward to whatever they release!

 

why on the full moon? I mean not that that doesn't rock, just curious lol

The update is actually a day or so before the full moon and stays up until the day after - that's because it's themed to the next month's moon, usually based on either Native or sometimes Asian moon names. I'm not sure which tradition she's using right now, but the upcoming full moon is in some tradition called "Black Butterfly Moon" so last month we got a perfume called "Black Butterfly Moon" with perfume notes inspired by the name and time of year it represents. The Halloween perfumes went up then, too, and have perfumes based on literary vampires, and Devil's Night, and other Halloween traditions.

The BPAL.org forum (where you can find reviews and things, much like this forum) is actually where I found out about BJD's!

Oh the bisou girl littlefee is precious. She reminds me of my 4 year old cousin. The Realpukis are cute, too. Rather unexpected from Fairyland since their style is more soft and sweet, but I like them. Only thing I'd want is that itty bitty violin. XD

 

I am not sure what I think of the realpukis; I think they're cute in a garden-gnome sort of way (ok, SoSo completely creeps me out, but Tyni isn't horrible?). I guess they remind me of caricatures more than anything.

I might like the realpuki bodies, though I'd have to see them unclothed. Are they the same HEIGHT as pukis, just more slender? *ponders* It does look like they can wear puki faceplates, so it may be interesting to see, say, a Pipi faceplate on a realpuki body. Hmmm....otherwise, not really interested. Give me a chocopuki any day :0

 

Thanx for the links! I'm safe, so far. I like the idea of a very tiny tiny with the posability of a puki, but the faces don't call me at all .

 

I just adore Soso, I'm guessing he has the elf ears? What a cute lil' face!

lol I must agree, at first I though GNOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Gnomes scare me, always have) than the more I looked I kinda began to like the Soso, he is kinda cute, I love FAIRIES and stuff and he kinda reminds me of a fairies helper. sooooo we'll see I may want Soso he is growing on me. lol

but I am in love with the bisou girl! lol the pouty chubby face reminds me of my youngest son lol and his pouty faces (but I prefer the girls over the boy dolls lol) I am fairly positive that Thisle will be my only FL boy doll (my other boy is kyo a chubby cherish) but I sometimes consider selling him. He doesn't get a lot of attention being a boy and an OFF sizing lol

Magic Items, faceplates, heads, wigs and outfits for Pukipuki can be used on Realpuki. Realpuki faceplates and heads can be put on pukipuki, but other parts and items may not work.

Yah, they're very Gnomish, I adore them, and they're definately on my list of wanted dolls immediately. I'm German descent and they just give me that lacy curtain, vaulted timber ceiling, forest dwelling flavor LOL.

They are cute and I rather adore the body.. I wonder if they are interchangable with regular pukis? Though, thinking about that slimmer body I am guessing the regular puki heads would be too big.

I think it is rather interesting since the Realpukis doesn't look like any other FL dolls... it is something quite different. ... judging from the reactions it looks like they have grab yet another market. XD

 

Yes, the regular puki faces and heads fit the smaller bodies, and their heads fit on the regular pukis. I hope they post a comparison picture with the bodies side by side and a regular puki head on a realpuki body. I kind of like those faces in a fairy sort of way, but don't know what I'd do with them... I think I'm safe for now. The minifee event head I think has me, though!

And I also REALLY want to see what the pumpkin puki is. I bet it's more along the line of the realpukis, but I could be wrong.

 

What head is the event head? I get lost with these things really, sometimes.


Oh, I HOPE Pumpkin is a new Puki faceplate, not a realpuki! I was really hoping for new Puki faceplates

I simply adore Soso; but $295 + postage + customs?
I guess I'll have to live on without Soso...

 

the RealPuki's remind me very much of Froud's work.

I'll have to look through my cards to see if I can find a reference pic. Google Images is failing me, and I refuse to try to scan one of my books.

 

I would love the realpuki body for Thumbelina but I'm NOT spending that kind of money to try to sell a head that not many people seem to like.

I would like to see this pumkin head myself...hoping it's really a pumpkin LOL....that would be cute!
