Fairyland PukiPuki Discussion Part 23

This is my PukiPuki Sugar, Pipskintinkle. I've had her since 2009, but I only started sewing clothes for her when I got her back this year (she was on extended holiday at my mum's).

 

She is so cute! I really like her wig and how you have styled it. Sugar has the sweetest face.

I had a day off of work so I worked on Ophelia's wig a bit. I have never been able to find a wig for Ophelia that I really liked so I am making one. It will take me a while, but I am thinking the end result will be worth it. As you can see, she is getting impatient because I am taking so long!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I've missed so much this summer!! Well, my babies are all packed away for my move to Spokane area. But, I have lots of quotes to reply to:

Mmmmm, there's something so special about the wee ones having their own space. My doll house is also packed away, and I have such cool furniture for when it's all done. This is such an inspiration.

Aw, thank you! She's actually an Ante who happens to be *named* Pippi, which seems to be a terrible habit I have with Fairyland dolls. (My littlefee Rolly is named Luna.) But I do want to add a Pipi to my collection!

 

Oh wow, the angle sure fooled me Clearly my kids have already been packed away too long.

There is event so now there is tan skin option on pukipukis for awhile. I am dreaming ordering Ruby...

 

I love the Ruby sculpt, but don't like the default face up. I keep hoping they will come out with a different one for her.

 

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some advice about glass eyes for my Ante. Can anyone please suggest a good place to purchase a pair? I haven't played with her in a while and realized that her acrylic eyes look too cloudy.

 

I have three suggestions. 1-Captured in Glass I ordered a custom pair for my Ante. They are 8mm but have a smaller pupil that I think looks nicer with her smaller eye openings.
2-Ginarolo. I have a pair of her 6mm glass eyes in Ophelia (chocopuki lily shown below). They are lovely and detailed for such a small eye!
3-Mehiart. Her 8mm eyes also seem to have a smaller pupil. Major bonus for me that they sparkle!

I am nearly finished with Ophelia's alpaca wig!! I still need to work out a bald spot in the back, but I can't wait to brush and style it! She seems happy too!

EDIT to ask a question of my own! Can anyone else who has one of the original chocopukis confirm that their heads are smaller than other pukis? I will definitely have to use a wig cap to keep this on. It fits my others a bit better.

 

I have a chocopuki sugar and had trouble finding a wig that fit - even the one that came with her (full set) was too big. Question about Ophelia's wig - are you using the glue method and if so what glue are you using - if you don't mind my asking. I have quite a bit of lose mohair from when I did reborn babies, but have been leary of trying a bjd wig.

 

@Merlin's Mom Good to know this isn't too unusual! Makes me wonder how their heads ended up smaller! I made the wig cap on a blank/sleeping NS puki, so you would think it would fit. I guess I will just have to use a wig cap to keep it in place.
I am using the glue method. I used mod podge this time and it seems to work pretty well for me at least.

I am now convinced I need a Flora! They are just so sweet! I've been meaning to buy my tan Cupid new eyes as someone else has the ones I got for her. DDE has some I like.

I've got the feeling I haven't done anything for my dolls for eternity. Let alone with Pet. (University keeps me busy) thought yesterday I've got the sudden urge to sew for him again after making a small lacecrown for him and fixing another wig.
Thought I needed the whole night to finish this I ,again, felt how much fun it is to work for/with him. I just love to make little quick things for my favourite fashion mannequin boy. And his size is just adorable palmfittng.
I mean I've done everything on him from face-up to wig to clothes to shoes. There is so much heartblood involved. And yet even when he just sits there and I look at him I feel happy.
My poor others boys don't even get a quater of that much time due to size, time and missing room for photos corners ect. (None the less I love all my dolls) But Pet got his luck with his size.

I hope ErsaFlora will take on comissons sometime in the future cause I need to get another pair of his eyes in green.~~
And I wish I could do more of his heeled shoes I made from milliput but shapes won't come out sastisfing again. T_T
With all these clothes made, I think about buying some clothes for him too.

Edit: somehow I only do something with mydolls in Autumn. Autumn seems to be my dolly time of the year x3

 

He's very cute! I'd never thought of making a crown with lace...my girls are now telling me they must have princess crowns.

 

Acorn's new cottage arrived this week. I got to sneak a quick picture. It's a little shorter than I anticipated but it'll be perfect for photos.

 

The cottage is cute, and so is Acorn's purple outfit!

Has anyone noticed that all of a sudden there are 3 new "magic items" for pukipuki? Kind of leaves me scratching my head, but the rod looks kind of cool.

 

This is really curious! I wonder if there is a new Pukipuki on the horizon?

 

I hope so, I have been holding off on a pukipuki because I really want to get a full set.

It's so great to see all the wee ones here. My 3 are at work, Elly driving her car with Marvin in the back seat, Halloween candy flying out of the car on the way to give Ramune' backup as she fights off the Dalek trying to steal the T.A.R.D.I.S. A shame I work in a no-camera zone.

 

here in the netherlands we are celebrating st nicolaas so kids get candy and presents, same as christmas in other countries
so mary is happy with her gingercookie..
