Fairyland PukiPuki Discussion Part 23

Jun 11, 2016

    1. @Ruthiepooh Can it ever just be one? :XD:

Flora helped me open a very special package today.
Since I didn't have a real box opening for her, I made a little funny story out of it. She was not amused about the new arrival. (Btw, this story is totally ooc and not related to the storyline I have in my head).

    2. Sorry for spamming, I just enjoy having two dolls to play with now!

Flora being not happy at all about her new "friend"...She looks like she wants to say "Take your paws off of me!"

I took a couple of pictures of the two of them, while playing around.

Most Antes look so sweet and wide eyed. Flora just looks adorably grumpy most of the time.

    3. Holy Cow! @Ruthiepooh Who's that tiny bjd in your gorgeous photo?
(I feel a new bjd obsession coming on!)

    4. She is a Bluefairy nanofairy, 2nd edition.

    5. I got my last Pukpuki of DDE back in Jan 2018 - (I have 3 total) I haven't seen any for sale since so I got very lucky!!

awww yay! Look at everyone's Pukipukis again :D
I've been really into trying to make things ago. so I had a go at something simple - a hammock XP
      [IMG]
Lillian enjoyed it and most importantly didn't fall out XD

      • x 7
    6. @Budgie Lillian is adorable! She looks so relaxed in her new hammock. What a cute idea!
I have to get started on making more things for my Puki.

    7. That looks so comfy!
I have two, ante and darjeeling.

      • x 1
    8. @Budgie I love that picture

I have five - pongpong Lily cupid3 Niko and chichi Puki Troupe

The only ones I see for sale second hand seem outrageous prices, close to double the original. I have so many because they were so inexpensive! I used to have a great dollhouse for them but I gave it to my niece when moved last time. I really need to start another

      • x 1
    9. @Budgie it looks comfy!
@skyealloway they look like a fun group!

I've only got my two, I've gotten fairly lucky on the second hand market. There was only a little mark up on them. But I think that's because of how I pieced my pukisha and because my ani is an anime plate

      • x 1
    10. @skyealloway What a nice group! Hurray for Pongs especially!

I guess I really lucked out with my Ante. She wasn't all that expensive considering.

    11. I've been working on making mine clothes again. I'd like to get them another friend or two, but I'd rather order them new than pay high second hand prices. Here's an old photo of my duo back before Leon had a wig or face-up
      [IMG]

      • x 4
    12. @Leo Pheonix. They were cute then too, even with out a faceup

    13. I knew it had been a while since I had taken any pictures of my pukis, but wow. I feel bad now. I shouldn't have checked my photostream! So I am going to change that in the next few days. Here is an older pic of Tasuki until I can take some new ones. The msd's really took over for me!

    14. Such a happy child! He looks great in that wig!

    15. Those overalls are adorable! Leon's aren't quite that perfect.

    16. @Leo Pheonix But he has such a cute little wig! I love his big eyes as well.

@redmaiko Pongs are to die for! Did you make Tasukis wig yourself?

I took some pictures of Flora this morning. She recently got some books! Here is one of the photos to keep the Puki-spam going:

    17. Pongs are the best! Here's my Poks testing a hammock in a rooftop garden. He's wearing some Barbie Tommy clothes. Some of them fit well, some not so well.

    18. @Ruthiepooh They look so cute! And your room box looks amazing! Do they have a little house? Please post more pictures.

    19. Not quite a house, but they have a few rooms inside a cabinet that they share with a few other dolls.

This is the kitchen and playroom. There is a bedroom on the shelf over, and a nursery and a bathroom in another cabinet.

    20. That is so cute!

    21. @Ruthiepooh Oh my! I love this set-up! :chibi What a great little set. I would love to build something like that. Goals!
I like how much detail and planning went into it. They look very happy to live there, even if it is titled The orphanage.

    22. @Ruthiepooh Wow! What a wonderful home for your tinies!
I love your kitchen cabinets! Who's doing the very fine needlework? Well done!

    23. That would be me, thanks!

    24. Thanks you, I'm pleased with how it turned out ^-^

Lillian is flattered, thank you! ^-^

      thank you ^-^

hehe no complaints from Lil yet ;p

ahhh she's so adorable up there reading <3

      Now that's a hammock!!

I've seen some photos on insta - it's lovely to see all of their place together; it's amazing!!

    25. I wired Flora the other day. She can now look like she is deep in thought:
Holding yoga poses is something we are working on though.

      • x 9
    26. ooo, do you mean actual wire or restring? I'm intrigued!
Also, can't wait to see her yoga once she learns ;)

    27. @Budgie Actual wire. She was strung really tightly and just snapped and curled up whenever I tried to pose her. It made everything so hard! I saw this tutorial and thought I'd give it a try. The pictures aren't there anymore but the description was pretty straightforward. And it worked like a dream!

      • x 1
    28. @TheDoctor Great job on the wiring! And thanks for sharing the tutorial! It was nice to just click and review that tutorial.
(I need to do some bjd wiring.)

    29. EEEEeeeee!! There is currently a notice (still locked) on Fairyland's news board for new Real puki packages, but at the end it says "+ pukipuki pongpong"!! Can't wait to see what's in store!!

      • x 2
    30. The rerelease of PongPong makes me hopeful that more sculpts will be released again eventually too! I’m so excited! I love Pukipukis!

    31. Yeah, it looks like it is only PongPong basic right now. That's unfortunate, but I guess they are trying to gauge interest in the line? Possibly. They are all up on DDE.

Yup, going to get a WS pong. All of my pukis are NS, Chocopuki tan, and current tan. My little pumpkin prince needs a white skin body and Pong is still the best sculpt ever. :) I do wish there would have been a tan option too though...but hey beggars can't be choosers, right? LOL

    32. I'm hoping there will be some puki option parts with the sale! Pongs are cute, but we're buying a house and I can't justify a whole doll :...(

    33. I emailed DDE about the option parts and got a reply a few minutes ago:

Hello- we have not received any info about the PukiPuki hands so my guess is they are not going to be producing them.

So yeah I was hoping to get the other hands too, but not currently. :(

      • x 1
    34. Still, this has me really excited for more Pukis! I love Pong (my Pukifee Pong is on the way already ;)) and if I had money for more new dolls I'd get one. I hope this is a sign that they will bring back lots of the old sculpt a soon!

    35. Meanwhile, I bought a lovely shaddow box on sale and Flora seems to have found it an adequate space to set up her library. There she is unpacking:

Of course I will add more that just the little shelf. I plan to make the outside look like a book that I will put in my own bookshelf. Book with bookshelves inside on a bookshelf, haha. ;)
Long way to go, but it will be a fun project.

      • x 8
    36. That's genius, I love the idea!

    37. So happy! I just placed an order for a Pong!! Normal skin, with face up.

I have wanted one for years, but kept putting it off...and then FL stopped making them. I sure didn’t miss this opportunity! Pong is my favorite all time sculpt. He will be joining my realfee toki who is a hobbit, so maybe Pong is a pixie? Now to think of a name, figure out eyes, a wig, and clothing. So happy, there said it again!

      • x 4
    38. A hobbit and a pixie sounds amazing! I can’t wait to see your little magical friends together! Yay! That sound so cute!

    39. @Ruthiepooh Thanks, I will take pictures along the way!

@kurogane Congrats! Looking forward to your Pong. They really are pure happiness. Will they be a girl pixie or boy pixie? So many cool clothes options for both of them!

      • x 1
    40. LOL, gender may not always be that easy to decide beforehand is my experience. Just as an example, I waited for a little Lati wsp for seven months while preparing for her to be a girl, but the moment I held the doll in my hands he revealed he was a boy and took off with my pukipukis wig... In the end it was all for the better though, because my pukipuki got a wig that suited him better, while Lati shortly after revealed a brand new sculpt that suited my girl character better, lol.

    41. @TheDoctor It’s a boy, a very happy and mischievous one.:sweat I’ve had my realfee for two years and he is great! I have been struggling in finding his character. Then recently I realized he is a perfect hobbit (only his feet aren’t the right size, oh well, I’m ok with that). I have plans on working on him when I have time, so the new Pong coming will give me a timeline as now I’m really inspired for both!

Since I first saw Pong on FL’s site a decade ago, I loved the happy smile. Back then they only had littlefee Pong (had one) and I dreamed of a smaller version. When FL released Pukipuki Pong I was thrilled, but got caught up with the ‘they’re always available, maybe later’ view point, and missed getting one! Lesson learned the hard way, with a happy ending. Interesting how it takes almost not being able to get a sculpt makes you get your priorities straight.

@Ruthiepooh your pictures are always so well done! Just like real life, only better. I follow you on Flickr.

      • x 2
    42. Oh you are not alone about making that mistake! I thought I could always get that pukipuki or realpuki later... When they closed sales I had only one of each, pukipuki and realpuki, but has since found two second hand. And now I am struggling with which ones I will get first when they finally do open basic sales, as I won't be able to buy them all at once :D

      • x 1
    43. eee that sounds amazing, I will stalk it's updates! ^_^

I finally got round to buying a battery for the lights I'd previously wired very sophiscatedly in...with tape and blutac! Then decided to have a little fun trying to disguise the wires on the outside of my pukipuki's lantern home :)

Apologise for the huge photo, can't work out how to rescale them on this forum!

      • x 4
    44. @Budgie What a cute idea! I have to remember that! :)

      • x 1
    45. Yay! I can't wait to see them too!

    46. @elfy016 I’m thankful that FL’s wait times are relatively short, 3-4 months.

I’ve been looking at clothing ideas and already have a pattern book for some OT dolls that are the same size. I’m not sure about what type or color of wig. I might end up making one. Penn, my realfee is looking forward to his little buddy.

    47. Wow! All of your puki’s are so cute! And the homes you’ve made for them, I’m inspired! :love

It’s been awhile since I’ve done things in this hobby (work and health issues), but I’m glad to be back. I want to share my beloved puki, Pippin. I can’t help but smile when I see his face and that lil tooth! (Also, he loves running around in his little gym shorts)

Pukipukis are so tiny! Can’t wait to get mine!

    52. @Ruthiepooh Adrian is adorable. His dungarees are so cute!

I've posted pictures on Instagram but I thought it would be fun to make a project journal for my Pukipuki room. Flora is going to have a little study that is meant to sit in my bookshelf. So the outside will look like a set of books. The inside will have bookshelves and lots of plants since she likes everything concerning botany.

    53. @Ruthiepooh Your knitting and crochet are just exquisite! What's your needle size and what do you use for yarn? (single strand of embroidery floss?) I LOVE your needlework!

    54. Thank you!

This outfit was knitted on needle 1mm (5-0). The pants are in Gutermann cotton 30. The shirt is in a fine silk thread which I much prefer because if the softness, but gutermann has some great colors and is a little “sturdier”. I hope that helps

    55. I asked fairyland about pukipukis again. It seems us pukipuki addicts will still need to show some patience. This is their response:

Final processing of pukipuki and Realpukis were handheld by our chief of staff who has been away due to his injury.
Although he hasn't fully recovered yet, he kindly agreed to return to FairyLand temporarily to process Realpuki Full Packages due to popular demand and cute(!) threats - well, some were not so cute.

Re-opening the remaining dolls will depend on his health and we are hopeful that his health will restore.

Thank you for understanding and we hope you have a good day.

      Kind Regards,
      FairyLand

    56. Oh no! Thanks for sharing this @Ruthiepooh , but it worries me. This sounds like the earlier messages saying RPs would be coming back later this year isn’t really for certain :doh
