xkelpiex: eeeeeeeeeee! Your girl is so awesome! Congrats on her arrival. I was wondering if anyone (else) was getting a tan Darjeeling. I'm still waiting for my girl, but until she gets here hope you don't mind me admiring your little one ^_^

I've got another puki coming in w/ my Darjeeling, but kinda want him to be a surprise. Tho I'm kicking myself for not getting a tan Pipi too at the mo'. Keep seeing them on Flickr esp & argghhhhhh being tan takes Pipi's cuteness right into the stratosphere.

 

I'm waiting for a tan Cupid who will be my first Puki Puki. She'll be my second Fairyland doll as I currently have a Real Puki wanting a playmate.

 

My new Sugar, I now have a wig cap for her which is making the wig fit surprisingly better. I will get an 'after' shot tomorrow...

Yep, Lady Crow was right she's a Rose! I always manage to get Pikis and Floras mixed up, several of the pukis have really similar faces don't they? Gotta love them though!

Again has happened, and I'm being incredibly frustrated just trying to paint (watercolor) her lips. Symmetrical is very difficult. Geeez. Hopefully Elly will get finished some time this week. It sucks that I have to put all my craft supplies away every night because I tend to use my dining room table for (gasp) meals.

i can relate, all my supplies have to get put away when my kids get home from school each day and getting eyebrows symmetrical is what i find hardest.

we finally had some warm sunny weather today and i managed to get ruby's face painted! now i just have to give her some upper lashes, make her a wig and a dress that fits....

Hee, yep. She (& her buddy) should be here by the end of the month, if FL stays on the same schedule they appear to be on now w/ shipping *keeps fingers crossed* Have a pair of eyes for her on the way, but still have to decide on a wig. I'll be sure to take lots of pics ^_^
I'm excited to show off mystery!puki too. He's sort of a special project character wise & can't believe I finally get to bring him home.

Ugh I've been fighting to style and this new wig I got, I finally get it side braided and go to put it on... and the wig falls right off... The. Heck. WHY do I have such bad luck with puki wigs???

 

Someone told me about silicone ear plugs. They really work great to hold wigs ands eyes on.

It's not you, it's the little teeny tiny beany heads in slippery smooth resin. Have you tried a wig cap? They really do work if you can find the right size. Sometimes in a pinch I'll use a snug rubber band to give the wig something to grip too.

I have these little rubber hairbands I use for styling dolly hair and I have found that they stick well to puki heads and give the wig a little grip. If I was home I would grab a pic of Pip's

I have used poster putty blu-tac for a puki wig but it can get into the hair and the wig cap in a way that wont ever really come out.

 

Did anyone else see that they finally posted pictures of the event Puki hat?

 

Hi all! I'm kinda new to BJDs, but I just got my first ones this week.

I have Vander, my Pukipuki Pong, and Locke, my Pukipuki Lily. I took some photos of them this morning, but I haven't edited them yet. I'll have to see if I can still get into my Flikr account too.
They are sooo cute! I'm working on sewing a nice outfit for Vander using some spring green linen fabric I was saving for a dress for myself. They are so tiny & the fabric wants to fray!

I really enjoyed everyone's photos here!

…And I'm wondering if it's a coincidence (maybe not?) but isn't it interesting that a couple of months ago someone mentioned their idea of making wings for a "Time Puki." I assumed the person meant like H.G. Wells & The Time Machine, and posted a link to some SteamPunk-style wings I'd seen on Flickr…
AND NOW –PRESTO!– FAIRYLAND HAS A PAIR OF STEAMPUNK REALPUKIS?!? I bet that with a little lengthening of the straps, they'd fit PukiPukis just fine. The headgear would certainly fit!

Forgive me: I know that this isn't the right forum, but I WANT TO BUY BOTH OF THE REALPUKI FULLSETS AND NAME THEM ORVILLE & WILBUR

a 4-1/2 or a 4/5 wig is too big for these guys right? i just found the cutest new wigs at one of my favorite wig shops, but those are the only sizes it comes in.

 

Im sorry to confirm your suspicion. Sometimes size 4 can work with a silicone cap to take up some space. But 4.5 would probably really be big. Ive had my best luck with 3.5 mouse or Amelia Thimble wigs as far as a good fit. Styles very limited though. How many bobs with bangs does one need????!!!!!!

Took a trip tot the dollar tree today and swiped an outfit off of a doll I bought (just for the outfit lol) for Rayne. It's sooo cute! I just wish it was sewn better, but what can ya' do?

 

I just love how nicely the sword is painted. I need to do Marvin's...

Not like none of us have ever done it It is rather sad that so often the clothes are made poorly. I did that in Scotland, and have a tad bit of mending to do (like sewing on functional buttons) and I can see the accouterments aren't going to last long. Sad...

 

unfortunately at the dollar store it is often a case of you get what you pay for... (which hasn't stopped me from shopping for goodies there on the cheap )

 

I wish i felt up to it, all the girls changed into their play clothes. They want to play outside. Not today. Swoosie should be in the mail today. Maybe that will keep them occupied for awhile.

Thanks for the wig tips that were posted earlier. I haven't tried putting a mini elastic band around the head to help with fitting. I think I need to get a pack of those next time I go out.
Also, I just spent WAY to much on my pukis. I went to The Great Big Greenhouse today, to get a Boston fern for my Sugar Gliders. That was it. Just one small Boston fern. But by the register they had a whole section of goodies to do up your garden for fairies and gnomes... and it was all perfectly pukipuki sized! Ughhh I got crap I'm sure I don't need. And worst yet, I plan on going back and getting more when I have some more spare cash lol.

 

I wish i knew who made them. They came with a doll i adopted.

Unfamiliar with Picco Neemo i did a search on evilbay. They had a few auctions showing the dolls next to obitsu 11cm. I think the legs and arms look too long.

I decided on a character and name for my Mary. She is going to be a witch hunter Puki named "Grumchin".

She is also going to be a little Bi-polar.

GoodbyeKitty713 your link won't work for me . But I'll be getting that hat as I just got an order confirmation email from DDE saying it will be with my order of one of the new Real Puki! Is it like the top hat? That would be really cool. It will be four months since I ordered my tan Puki Puki this week, hopefully she will be coming home soon!

I finally got my act together and found some temporary hair for my (former) Frankenstein dolly. Her face is a ChuChu, I think, that came with pink eyes that I really wasn't fond of. I finally found her a body here in the marketplace (a long time ago), but never got around to changing out her eyes for the green ones I bought espeically for her.
