Darkwind: SUPER jelly right now that you're in Scotland with a pukipuki and I"m home with none!

Ugh, the tracking hasn't updated on my puki since Thursday. I know she somehow ended up in San Fransisco (in the opposite direction from her destination, oy) and then the tracking just stopped. I am getting really worried. I just want my baby home!

Wow, San Francisco!! My heart goes out to you! I am sure it will get worked out! Is it the USPS being used for delivery? Maybe you could contact them with the tracking number and they could get the little one back on target for you. Did you order direct from Fairyland? Looks like they are closed until Wednesday due to a Holiday, but I would email them anyway so you will be in the Q when they get back. Ive had things diverted like this before and someone who works in the USPS in San Fran had probably already made the correction, but it will give you something to do until she or he gets turned around and arrives. I always feel better if I can actively do something. Ive gotten alot of dolls from china and Korea and all over and have had a number of them divert, but always got them in the end! Take Heart!

Nope; I don't know where they got that, but all around the hostel is either fairy stuff or Star Wars memorabilia, finished off with Native American things. Cool place.

 

So, like any minute a Storm Trooper comes crawlin' outta a Tee Pee, then like BAM! Tinkerbell hits him with a dose of Dust and He aint no Storm Trooper no more-- He's a toad stool -- and Elly climbs up and takes a seat!

Ladycrow, you call it imagination --- but round this place they call in insanity. I'm known to be found sitting in rooms giggling to myself when no one is talking...... Because stuff like this is passing through my head constantly. My partner has stopped asking me whats so funny in passing...........Bwaaaaaahaaaahaaaa ha ha haaa (maniacal laugh).

Actually I feel the same about this group! You are all so creative and i love coming here and seeing what people are coming up with every day! I think people that can connect with dolls are imaginative to begin with and thats how they are able to tap into the worlds of their dolls.

Well, the weekend is about through and for once i got something accomplished for my own dolls. I completed Sprinks Faceup and body blushing! I also modified one of my "bow hands" and now its a basket hand, which Sprink really needs because she loves collecting things like berries, flowers, pebbles, and anything shiny or sparkly. I can only post one picture here but there are more on my flicker photo stream if anyones intrested

Twiddle--She's in Canada now! They redirected her themselves before I had to call which is great. I hope she arrives soon. It was supposed to be eexpress shipping, but it's taking forever. I can't wait to show her to everyone! and OMAN HAHAHAHA, you are way too cute. And Sprink is adorable!

Oi!! New fence is up, now the work begins. Gotta get it done before it gets hot. Up at five to write for six hours, then outside to dig and hauling and move rock and plumb pond filters for hours. Come in and collapse. No time for my boys or interwebs! ARGH!

Darkwind: you get home and the place starts hopping. Hmmm...cause and effect? I can see Elly took Scotland by storm. Wonderful pix.

Glitter, I use 3-4 wigs on my PP Ante, and 6mm glass eyes.

She is a tan Darjeeling! Her dress is sewn together by me, but it was a dress kit hat I bought off of etsy. It was sent pre-printed on a type of thick cotton that you cut and sew together. I am just a beginning sew-er so I thought it would be fun to practice my stitching. Well, I learned just how bad I am, haha! Ah, well, the dress still looks cute. I got two sets (4 dresses total), this butterfly one and a mushroom themed one. Printed on the cotton sheet are also a pair of stockings and a stuffed toy for you to make.
She'll have two long mohair wigs my friend is making. Both are two-toned. One purple/blue and one green/blue. She's also getting glittery ram-like horns. It's going to take a while to put her all together, but when she's done, I think she'll be fantastic!
BTW, Chuchu is a super cute sculpt! Are you going to make it a girl or boy? And everytime I read your "sent from the vale of the fairies" line, I think of Thumbelina!

 

I want little glitter horns too! Lol I just gotta find Clove something to wear... definitely post pics, cause if all else fails I may be able to give your friend more business lol

My friend will be opening an etsy shop this summer, actually! I'll be sure to share when it opens Clove is such a cute name! I hope she isn't delayed by Fairyland's now extended wait times. I really think they should have sorted all their orders out before starting another event, but what can you do.
Thumbelina is def one of my favourite childhood movies! I bought it about three years ago on dvd finally and watch it all the time. I also love all things fae. My dolls' story is a faerie story, actually! Rayne is the little companion of my Luts Satyresse Yul and they guard the faerie gates.

 

Yeah clove's big sister Newt (a Littlefee ante elf) is a little pixie, and I'm hoping to get them both some cute faerie wings sometime

Elly is my "firstborn", given to me for my 50th birthday after I attended a February Anniversary Meet and a Pong was thrust at me. Seriously, the mother of that doll Gooseberry Thistledown has the same personality! I decided right then and there that that smile was so ridiculous and made me smile so big that I had to have one. My daughter had a mission, and was thrilled I entered her doll world.

Marvin's rather evolved into a stronger character than he began, standing up toooooooo....

Ramune', the royal child-wizardling come to us for fostering. Now I have my Pipi. She's the only one I've actually commissioned clothes for. Very little of her wardrobe is the standard Kelly clothes I get from Tabloach; oh no, this little princess has got to have the best. Her idea of slumming it and anybody else's is quite different.

It's been a long while since I've poked my nose in here... Well I ended up having to redo Yumi's face up a few weeks ago, and I made her look more the part of the cute half demon cat her character originally was meant to be.... I'm not sure if I love it but I think she's still pretty cute ^.^ (also we took her bowling... I think she had fun, even though she found it hard to do with her little claws lol)
