I agree! It is a little clown-y in blue! I tried it on Miku. It definitely looks cuter on her, but the blue still makes it a smidge odd. XD

This is adorable! If the wig were brown she'd be Princess Leia!

Miku could pull it off. I think the pong face contributes more to the clowny-ness but I love the curls!

 

But its still sweet, should keep in mind how you did it maybe for another wig in a less 'clowny' color.

The frog really does have that kinda of wacky smile, he was just perfect for the picture. If that was a movie there'd have been an unmanly sqeak upon noticing the frog!

*delurk* Rit Tan can come out a bit yellowish or orangey. You might want to experiment with Rit and get a good color blend of brown and tan or even just use brown and go very lightly. You can always redye darker, but lightnening is darn near impossible. Good luck!

It is a lovely color I got that wig (and Alice's wig which is on my avatar) at Latidah on etsy. But the shop is closed for a while now (supposedly because of a move, but it seems a tat long).
The blue wig is beautiful as well, it's a blut with a hint of green. And Eleonore's wig is blonde but with a touch of pink.

Sorry I got carried away I hope Latidah comes back because I want to reorder some of those wigs, to make different hairdos

Hello all! I just caved and put a Pukipuki Ante on layaway with DDE, as I wanted to give this size (and the Ante mold) one more try. I am still undecided on a name and wig, but for once, I thought maybe she should tell me when she arrives.

Yesterday I made Set a shirt off of a puki shirt pattern I've had since I first decided to get a puki! But I couldn't get pictures because I was letting the little bit of fabric glue dry completely. But now I can share, too bad its so dark out today though.

I also made a necklace for him! I'm so proud of that, mostly because I tied it in a way that forced me to get over the fear of touching that s hook in his head. I had to take the head back off. Yay for firsts!

Oh lucky you! All the cute Antes on this thread (like Trillian's up there a few posts) have convinced me that I should have one to keep my (future) Darjeeling company. I don't know what I was thinking. They have to come in pairs or they will be lonely. I'll have to start saving and stop buying puki clothes or I'll never be able to get her. Hi everyone! I have a quick question. I got my first pukifee (and first BJD), a few weeks ago, and her head is a little weird -it tends to lean backwards so she is always looking up. Is this normal? Im guessing maybe I need to fix her elastic, but Im not sure if its too tight or too loose. Does anyone know?

 

I can finally share my excitement with everyone!!!! The gorgeous GORGEOUS little custom Darjeeling Dorothy arrived this morning and is hands down the cutest thing I have ever seen. I feel so incredibly lucky to have her - I honestly could sell every BJD I have and just keep her (which is embarassing given the amount of money I have spent this year on BJDs!!). I just love her.

Hi! I think this is a common problem, but not classed as a fault. I have three puki's (and an extra faceplate) and they all have their own quirks. One likes to look up, one likes to look down, and one is pretty stable in between. For the two that like to flick, I just use a very light touch and balance them carefully in pose, but some angles they would not hold well. You can try suedeing the joint, - although I am not the expert there, and have not tried it yet myself. You can also buy things called "kips" which are little plastic disks that help stop the slip. I also haven't tried these, but someone else may be able to give you more information...
One other thing is just playing with her, - over a bit of time the elastic will relax a bit and this might help.

I can't wait until their OE plates arrive back home again from their fairyland makeover. Thankfully I have these two little ones to keep me on my toes. I really need to find or make Noah some more clothes though, - he only has one and a half outfits, which really isn't fair when you see how many clothes my girls have

I went to the park yesterday and took all the dollies with me to play, and Avery finally got some decent pictures taken for the first time in awhile.
should have taken her to play down by the river since she's wearing her beachy outfit, but it kept acting like it was going to rain so we didn't stay as long as I would have liked to.
