Fairyland Pukifee discussion part 27

May 24, 2017

    1. Hi guys! I forget if I ever shared my ante here, but I am pretty sure she was not posted here with her new wig. I still haven't had the heart to cut the braids which obviously are way too long, lol.

    2. So cute, love her outfit and the wall paper

    3. Thank you! The skirt was made by Lenna Lenna and the body and socks by Nira. I love using these items together as an outfit :)

    4. So cute! so many cute dolls! Only a week until I make my last payment on my layaway and my Jude comes home! And I have a request:
ANY AND ALL PICTURE SPAMS PLEASE?! Especially Judes and Vanillas (I almost got a Vanilla, but I couldn't resist the little teeth!) please! :eusa_pray Hoping it'll make the time go by faster to look at all the cuties!:aheartbea

    7. thank you! I got that outfit off of ylang garden on Etsy, she has really nice pukifee clothes.

did you get a natural or a tan jude?

    8. @TinaMariena I got a natural Jude though it was really hard to decide! And I love ylang garden, though I haven't been brave enough to try their clothes. They all look so cute. I'll have to get some now!

    9. Ylang garden supplies like 80% of my pukifees wardrobe. My Jude was my first tan doll, I usually don’t get in on time for the event tan, so I couldn’t pass it up!

Here is Juniper with my other pukifee (a dony called Rosie)

    10. @TinaMariena so cuuuuuuuuute!

General question: is the pukifee faceplate the same as the realfee faceplates? As far as taking them off and putting them on?

    11. As far as I know they both use the faceplate system so their 'faces' are removable leaving you with a body with the headback after removal. Realfee can wear the Pukifee faceplates with an adapter but Pukifee can't wear the Realfee faceplates; In general the system is more or less the same. I hope this is what you needed to know. If not, let us know ^__^ I'm at work so I can't provide images at the moment sadly.

      • x 1
    12. Thank you @Siara that was part of it. I was also wondering if the faceplates hooked the same way to their headbacks as the realfees hooked to theirs. Or if it was a little bit different?

    13. It is slightly different!

Sorry for the turned picture, but Pukifee relies on a little friction and a magnet for security, and the Realfee plates rely on friction entirely. The little flat peg on top of the part that sticks out, will sit in the hole in the top of the faceplate.
      Hope that makes sense >_>

    14. @Snow thank you so much! That helps a lot. So pukifees have magnets in the little peg piece? Do they come that way, or do you have to add them yourself? If you do, what size are they? If you don't mind me asking. :)

    15. Okay so I checked my 7 faceplates and only Tika has the magnets >_> which happened to be the one I showed haha.
Most of my Pukifee are secondhand, but I think they do come with magnets, just not installed. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me!
The magnet seems to be 4mm in diameter tho ^^

      • x 1
    16. Thank you so much @Snow I really appreciate your help :)

    17. All of mine indeed came with uninstalled magnets directly from company. They were somewhere in the box. You supposed to add them yourself if you need it. I happened to be in no need, except for the only case when the back plate was modified to fit one of the pukifee event plates (for some reason, it did not suit the body from the very beginning :sigh). The rest of them are doing quite well without any magnets in the head

    18. I've been pretty obsessed with Good Omens since it came out - so of course, I had to have Aziraphale and Crowley in Pukifee form. I still need to make Aziraphale's outfit from the show, though - and find his shoes.

    21. Wonderful photo, auntbear! If only I could be trusted with a drill! :)

    22. thanks, i'm slowly learning how to use my hubbies power tools, they make prop building so much easier!

      • x 2
    23. The thought of drilling doesn't scare me as much as the proximity of the candle flame to the doll's hair. I hope it's farther away than it looks!

    25. Does anyone know the best way to get newer faceplates to fit on older headbacks? I recently bought the 2017 Spring faceplate, but it doesn't seem to fit the much older headback I have. It just doesn't click - there's resistance, and I'm not sure where it comes from.

I can't quite see where I should be sanding to make it fit. And before anyone wonders, I'm 99.99 percent sure both the faceplate and the headback are legit - I bought them both on the MP here and the size is correct. It fits when I push them together, but when I let go, the faceplate sort of bounces off.

    26. Could the magnets be opposites

    27. @Fairy Milliner , this same thing happened to me with a Realpuki Tyni faceplate. The faceplate was newer, probably hadn’t shrunk as much as the body. I held it on the head back and I could see the area on both sides of the head that were preventing the plate from fitting. I marked them lightly with a pencil and used an Emory board to lightly sand. It fit just fine. I think some faceplates are also bigger than others. I know this is true with the littlefees.

    28. it was several inches away. i set up the photo, made sure the dolls were really stable and wouldn't fall forward, checked out what angle i wanted to take the photo from then lit the candle took the picture quick and blew it out! it was a little scary, since i also wasn't sure how fast the candle would burn down and i didn't want to light the wreath on fire! but it burned more slowly than i thought it would and actually was quite safe

today after a busy day playing, the girls were happy to cuddle up with eilidh and listen to one of their favorite books, "the best christmas pageant ever"

    29. Where did you get the tiny wheelchair?

    30. i got it a few years ago when i realized dovey was going to need one. it's supposed to be for wwe action figures, and i found it cheap on ebay. she is my pink girl and really really wants a pink one..with lots of sparkles if possible, so i bought a second one and and am hoping to repaint the seat for her before christmas. we'll see how that plan goes though

this is the exact one, though i don't remember mine coming with crutches or the neck brace, and i think i only paid $7 for it, which was a real steal!

she has to wear thicker shoes with it or her feet don't quite fit the foot supports, other than that, it is a perfect fit!

      • x 1
    31. Thanks! That's adorable and I bought one!

    32. great! i'd love to see your doll in it when you get it. i have a soft spot for dolls in chairs, since one of my son's uses one

afraid that santa might have them on the naughty list (and for good reason) noah and emrys came up with a cunning plan

    34. @auntbear Oh my...the little sneaks. That's a little selfish of them. I hope Santa knows they mean well. I loved these photos and am a fan of the boys (and girls). Hope they get what their little heart desires.

    35. I have been way too busy christmas crafting to give my girlies any attention, so have an older photo of them

    36. Thank you, I'll try to see whether that works. The plate is fairly new, but the headback is one I've had for ages. I actually do have some new headbacks coming in, so I decided to wait and so some juggling later.

@auntbear and @AleishaJade - your girls look fantastic. I really should be getting mine some Christmas clothes.

    37. they picked the two sweetest girls to forge letters from, i think they figured santa might not notice he got two letters from them, and would fill out both lists?

i have a definite soft spot for my little mischief makers ;)

    38. @AleishaJade What a great holiday crew! I love the back row's matching matching dresses.

I am so far behind with life that I'm just now editing the pictures I took at the holidays last year. This one was my favorite of the batch I got through today.

Also, I wanted to show the size difference/similarities to the Myou Doll1/8th tiny size, sculpt named Rourou (whose name is Tomu). They go fairly well together, and have a nice height difference.

Loving all the photo updates. I need to try for a winter themed picture now...

    49. I love scenes that actually emulate our real lives. :)

    50. thank you both. for my advent project i am trying as much as possible to do things we actually do for advent or did with our kids. it's fun trying to recreate it with my dolls, though i seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time making all the right props!

      • x 2
    51. You may be spending a lot of time now making props, but in the future you'll have them all ready to use. Seems like a win-win to me. :3nodding:

      • x 1
    52. Welcome to my world, lol. Some pictures takes months to prep for, while others just happen. Over time I have accumulated lots of props and clothes, but I don't like repeating myself either, so its a never ending project, lol. I'm loving your fun pictures and cute dolly family <3 . I hope to see many more pictures from you!

    53. i am in the process of setting up boxes of props for various situations so i can quickly see which ones i have and what i need for a particular picture. i think making the props is half the fun for me, and i like to see which of them can be used in a different way than the last time i set up the picture. i'm trying to get more organized so i don't keep buying making props i already have, but get to make different ones instead.

    54. I started out with all my rooms sharing just one box, and it took me forever to set it all out for every scene. I still move things around for better pics, but I now (since moving last year) have more permanent rooms in a cabinet. I don't have much for my pukifee though, she just pops into the 1:12 house now and then.

    55. They are delightful in their nakedness ... congratulations !

My Jude arrived today, I took a quick peek before popping him back in his box, wrapping the box and placing him under our Christmas tree ... thanks to hubby I managed to pay him off early. :)

So sweet, I like her extra long plaits and am pleased you didn't cut them. I love the rocking chair too!

Lovely photos, I like that your little boy is just a fraction taller, am also loving your name choices ... really into herbs right now, we planted a garden a little while ago and our herbs have gone crazy!

Your kids are so active Aunt Bear, but in a good way. I've enjoyed viewing all the photos you posted. :)

    56. Aww, thank you~~~ I love herbs and nature names!
Also I was so pleased with the height difference too, glad it works for you too, despite the slightly bigger face. ❤️

    57. @Xanadu Dolls your jude is adorable, bet you'll be the one up early on christmas morn this year!
