Fairyland Pukifee discussion part 27

May 24, 2017

    1. Those two are just adorable~โ™ฅ The perfect antidote for a late shift on Wednesday. I love seeing them around.

I always wonder if other tiny lovers feel a little dwarfed at doll meets? Everyone is always standing there with their giant SD counterparts and there I am with these little dolls that fit snugly in my hand. It's always such a funny contrast, haha~

      • x 1
    2. @Siara - I completely understand what you are going through with the seller who hasn't shipped and isn't keeping you informed. The same thing happened to me years ago with a doll purchase on ebay. The period for opening a dispute used to be much shorter and I just made the 30 day deadline. I never did get an apology or an explanation, but at least the seller shipped the doll. What really made me mad was that the seller lived near enough that I could have driven there, picked up the doll, and returned the same day. When I sell a doll, it ships either the same day or the day after I receive payment. That makes it hard to deal with people who don't feel the same sense of urgency.

My doll group collects all sizes so I rarely feel dwarfed at meetups. If anything, the tiny ones tend to infiltrate the other displays, sometimes interacting with the bigger dolls and sometimes turning into a funny prop.

    3. @vermont chick I'm so relieved to hear I'm not being totally unreasonable. I'm glad you did receive the doll in the end. This seller lives a few hours away from me so I could easily go and pick it up myself but I'd hate to invade other people's privacy. They preferred to ship the little one over so I agreed even though it meant paying extra for shipping.

Someone who knows them in person told them to get in touch and if all goes according to plan then the little one should be shipped today but I'm not holding my breath just yet. Atleast she'll be accustomed to traveling by the time she gets here~ ^__^

    4. You're not being unreasonable at all. If you go into a store and buy something, you return home with the item in hand. Buying online adds shipping time but it shouldn't give the seller license to take as much time as she wants before shipping. If you don't want to invade the seller's privacy, could you meet in a neutral place, like a coffee shop? I did that once when I bought a doll from a seller who lived in my area. We got together, had lunch and talked about dolls, and I went back to the office with my new doll.

Anyway, I hope your little one ships very soon so the agony of waiting will be over.

    5. Oh I just love your Dony, sheโ€™s definitely one of my favourite Pukifee sculpts <3
Your Cony is just adorable too :3nodding:

I hope your doll gets posted soon Siara, I know the frustration with that. Fingers crossed for you!

I emailed DDE and they said it should be with them soon, hopefully it arrives in the next couple weeks so it can arrive on my birthday and be a wonderful birthday present to myself

Until then Iโ€™m sure Chantilly & Elwynn will keep me entertained :3nodding:

    6. Thank you, I love all my PF's they are so much fun to "play" with. :)

I haven't been to a doll meet for ages, but in the past there has always been a range of sizes and we have often taken photos of them together as families or similar to allow the photo to tell a story.

Thank you, I'm pleased dolls aren't too far away and it would be lovely if they arrive in time for your birthday! YAY!

Thanks too for posting more pics of your Jude . . . I do like the names you have given your dolls too! :)

    7. Hi everyone!
I received my pukifee rosanna last month after she got her faceup done~
And im so happy that she got her headphones! Although i wonder if i should change her eyelash
      [IMG]

      • x 13
    8. Congratulations, she's a sweetie. :) Her eyelashes are very straight, but they don't look too bad, I guess it's a matter of personal preference. Love those headphones on her, they're so cute.

    9. Wow, what beautiful eyes

    10. I have been loving your Rosanna on Instagram, Iโ€™ve been really unsure of the sculpt since I bought it but your pictures have definitely made me more excited for my girls arrival :3nodding:

I bought a heap ton of craft supplies and they arrived yesterday, so Iโ€™m going to build my girls a bedroom, a flower wall and start practicing face ups on my 2 floating heads. Iโ€™m very nervous :sweat
      [IMG]
Enjoy a very informal picture of my girls while they wait for their room to be built

    11. I love seeing room boxes/dioramas, so I hope we get to see theirs when you're done. :)

Every time I see you post photos of your girls, I know I have done the right thing in bringing a Jude home. Should mine decide to be a boy, he will make a nice companion for my Truffles (Luna). :)

Anyone else have photos to share?

      • x 11
    12. I really do love my Jude so much, sheโ€™s by far my favourite sculpt and Iโ€™m so ecstatic to have two of her, when my second arrives of course!
But Iโ€™m definitely getting a NS Jude eventually too whenever I have the money.

Your truffles is gorgeous, I just love her little teeth <3

Weโ€™re currently still decorating our room box! The green borders are until I figure out what I want to use there, Iโ€™m thinking balsa wood strips, and I might do the floor in balsa wood too as the paper that came was way thinner than expected and laid horribly.
I made a little tent for the room too because what kid doesnโ€™t want a tent in their room.
Weโ€™re gonna redo the bedding to fit the room better too. I love building my own room :3nodding:

Iโ€™m also starting my Halloween dresses for my girls, hereโ€™s the first one I made and I love how it came out :3nodding:

    13. My Jude got her realfee body!

      • x 7
    14. @AleishaJade and @ohbumblebee you are both making me think about bringing my Jude home sooner than budgeted, if only I had the dollars right now. SIGH!

Good to see your progress Aleisha, I like the idea of using a little tent/teepee for play. I haven't even thought about Halloween yet, do you always sew for your dolls? I enjoy sewing for mine, a bit too much, they have so many clothes. :)

I hadn't thought of putting my Jude on a RealFee body, but she looks wonderful! :)

      • x 1

    15. It definitely ages the sculpt a bit - they really look younger on the pkf body.

      • x 1
    16. I was just going to say, she looks so much more mature! Sheโ€™s gorgeous, I love her red hair <3

Haha oh dear, I was the same when I started seeing all the Judeโ€™s arriving, I just had to have a Jude then and there, definitely had to cut down on luxuries that month

Yes 99% of their outfits I made, except for Elwynnโ€™s blue dress she came with & Chantillyโ€™s top and bloomers she came with, I really love sewing and I find it saves me a lot of money as doll clothes are not cheap!
Iโ€™ve got a few more Halloween patterns to enjoy, some crushed red velvet and I've already grabbed some Christmas patterns in anticipation

My girls already have a fair few dresses between them, and I want to keep it that way when the others arrive, i want them all to have tons of options in what to wear, since hand sewing is my main hobby right now :3nodding:

    17. @AleishaJade I am resisting for now, but trying hard to raise some extra cash. :)

Here's my Cadbury (Vanilla/Tan), she is the perfect elf, well behaved and a roll model for her house mates (Hershey and Lindt), who at times are somewhat rowdy. Her favourite colour is lavender, which compliments her lovely creamy chocolate skin. Lavender is also her favourite flower and fragrance.

      • x 7
    18. @Xanadu Dolls - Cadbury is adorable. I love the names you've chosen for her housemates. Are they all Pukifees?

    19. Cadbury is just gorgeous <3
I love that you have a selection of girls named after chocolate
Iโ€™m hoping my current sweet girls can keep my newbies under control, one of them is a huge diva and I can imagine her getting her sisters into trouble a lot

I finally got my shipping information! Theyโ€™re still travelling their way through America but hopefully theyโ€™ll be on a plane and I can get their ransom... *cough* โ€œcustomsโ€, through soon, hopefully theyโ€™ll be here by next week, Iโ€™m very giddy, all 3 have painted sleeping faces and Iโ€™m eagerly sewing little night gowns for my sleepy princesses <3

Hereโ€™s my girls when I told them their sisters are hopping on the plane home ;)

      [IMG] [IMG]
And just some pictures of my lovelies because I adore them <3

      • x 6
    20. @vermont chick Thank you and yes they are all Pukifees. :)

This is Hershey (Zio). She looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, but unfortunately Hershey tells big whoppers. We are not sure if she really believes what she is saying, or if it's all in her wild imagination. But whatever it is, it gets her into no end of trouble.

@AleishaJade Thank you, they all live in a Chocolate Box.

Congratulations! So pleased to read they are on their way, hopefully they slip through the gates okay! :)
Am looking forward to seeing pics when they arrive.

    21. Deanie now has a sleeping faceplate! It's on the list for a faceup and then we'll have more adorable Dean to share.

    22. All these beautiful pukifees! I'm only halfway through my layaway, but now I want my Papaya (a jude) home! Though, I'm a bit nervous about doing a faceup on such a tiny doll. It won't be my first time doing such a small faceup (I used to own a cherishdoll tiny) but it has been several years since I did it. I also haven't decided on a gender yet, but I'm sure that Papaya gets here it will come together just nicely. I can't wait to share here with everyone! :D

    23. @Xanadu Dolls - Hershey is so cute! Love the crocheted dress, too.:love Let's hope the big fibs are the product of a creative imagination.;) Who knows? Maybe she'll grow up to write fiction.

    24. This is a random question, but many years ago, there was someone that made tiny pukifee shirts that had little storm troopers or Darth Vader on them, with little bows. I really want to get a few of the shirts but I can't remember who made them or if they even still are.
      Anyone remember who they were?

    25. I think you mean Mokichan from etsy

    26. @vermont chick That would be nice if she were to grow up to be a writer, but I think she simply lives in her own little world of make believe. :)

This is Lindt (PF Ante), the third resident of the Chocolate Box, on Oak Tree Lane. She is a very pretty and popular elf, who regularly invites friends over, which sometimes doesn't go down very well with Cadbury. They become quite noisy and a tad boisterous when they all get together, then at days end, all her friends expect to stay for dinner.

All their outfits are from Etsy stores, but I cannot remember which ones now.

    27. I love how her pigtails are reminiscent of the truffle wrappings.

    28. @ihnasarima Thank you, perhaps I should have put this wig on my Truffles instead.:lol:

So, thought I'd send one too-- my Rosanna came in!

    34. I finally took the plunge when I saw DDE had a little PF Ante in stock this week and hit the order button. I've been lurking in this thread and admiring the cuteness for quite a while. Ante was the one I really wanted, so when saw she was in stock, in a moment of weakness I hit the buy button. Having a bit of trouble finding a perfect wig...โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ..I had read she wore a 5/6, but most of the Monique 5/6's I have were too big. (except for the one she is wearing, which makes her look like little orphan Annie). Where do most of you get your wigs for them? Ditto eyes. She is wearing 10mm Sprouty eyes here, but I can't decide if I like them or not. Was pleasantly surprised to find out my stash of Riley Kish shoes seem to fit, and all the Kish Riley sized props work!

    35. She looks a little sad, but she's a real sweetie, I really like her and her trike. :love

Ante is a popular favourite, so I am not surprised you brought her home, I have her too. I really like the curly wig on her Jackie (there's nothing wrong with looking like an orphan, even if she isn't one any longer). I found most of my wigs through trial and error and can't really remember which is which, but I know I bought some from JPop, ForMyDoll and the rest from Etsy stores. As for eyes most of mine are still wearing their defaults. :)

      • x 2
    36. Thanks @Xanadu Dolls ! I'm still struggling with finding a wig and eyes that I like for her. The blue eyes are 10mm Sprouty eyes and the green are 12mm Dollbakery (which I need to set better I figured this out AFTER I took the pics of course). Anyway, do most of you use 10 or 12mm eyes in your PukiFee's?

    37. The green are so pretty! But the blue have more personality. Canโ€™t choose...

    38. I like the green eyes!

    39. Ooo! I like the green and the position of them too :)

    40. I'm a blue person but the green are nice too

    41. @JinCIncy - I like both colors. Sorry, I can't possibly choose between them.

I think the eye size may vary somewhat by sculpt. Some seem to have larger eye holes than others. I think my Rin wears 8mm.

    42. Thanks everyone that commented on eye color. I think I prefer the green after looking at her quite a bit in both. Surprisingly enough on Flickr everyone that commented preferred the blue. Gotta go with my gut though. I also discovered last night that she can fit into my Kish Ellery sized clothes!!! At least this little dress and pantalets work well for her. The bow was a bit of a stretch, but she insisted on it...โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ..Ellery will never get them back I fear! I have a ton of Kish Riley sized shoes and she wears those well, so she will be the best shod of all my BJD's. I fear I'm in a lot of trouble with this size...โ€ฆ.
More pics of her in her new little dress on my blog:

    43. Oh sheโ€™s a stunner, I love a curly wig & Iโ€™m glad you settled on the green eyes because they suit her so well :3nodding:

So fate smiled upon me and blessed me with my girls arriving today, the day before my birthday! Just like Iโ€™d hoped :3nodding:

I am just beyond enamoured with them!
My NS Ante is named Primrose Peppercorn, my tan Jude is called Thistle Thimble & my tan Rosanna is called Bumble Bliss, though Thistle & Bumbleโ€™s names are just place holder names

They had a very long journey though so the first thing they did was take a nap, their sisters were concerned for their lack of blankets and pillows <3

    44. Congrats @AleishaJade ! They are adorable! The more I see little Jude, the more I think I might have to have one...โ€ฆโ€ฆ..I love her little open mouth (and I'm normally not a fan of open mouth sculpts).

    45. Congrats on your cuties >////< โ™ฅ โ™ฅ โ™ฅ

By the way does someone own Rosanna and either PFA or A-Line? I think they are very~ similar, which would ruin my plans to get Rosanna twins, buuut I'm not entirely sure about that~ Can someone help me out here >////<"?

      • x 2
    46. Thank you both :3nodding:
And Iโ€™d always recommend a Jude, it has definitely became my favourite sculpt!

I only have a Rosanna, but from the plain faceplate photos I must say theyโ€™re all beyond similar and the only way to notice differences is to know what youโ€™re looking for. I can tell straight away from the eyes that theyโ€™re ever so slightly different, but not by much I must admit, the nose and mouth look pretty much identical on the a-line and Rosanna though, I really struggle to see differences there. Rosannaโ€™s head seems a lot wider at the top too but I donโ€™t know how much noticeable difference that makes on the sculpt. I think the differences would be much more noticeable in person though so if I ever get my hands on one Iโ€™ll be sure to post comparison pics :)

    47. Yeah I was afraid someone would say that u////q" I think Rosanna looks a bit different (or I want to believe that!) but I'm afraid that's too similar and I will have to make new plans for my Pukifee twins...~

    49. Oh dear the Dad outfit is SO precious on her!

I don't have a Pukifee (yet) but I have fallen - HARD - for them. They are just so damn cute! Planning on getting a tan. Probably the Bonnie sculpt, although there are SO many cute sculpts.

    50. Oh I am in love with Annie, I really want a realpuki too, they're just so tiny and cute ;.;

I haven't played with my girls much because I've been too focused on fixing their room, which I'm finally happy with!
Only a few more finishing touches mainly involving sewing pillows & bedding. But my girls are so much happier now they don't have to share 1 single bed, they've now got 3 beds and a love seat

    51. My Jude is waiting for me to finish my lsyaway so she can come home! She amd my mnf rin came in last week at dde. So excited! But I won't be seeing them much before Thanksgiving unfortunately.

    52. life is still crazy for me right now, but crystal demanded a little love. she wanted a hat to go with her winter jacket since we have been getting snow all week. she dug through my yarn box and came up with a whole bunch of colors that i knit up in semi random order, we were both pleased with the result

    54. she has great color sense, that's for sure. i could have done with less ends to sew in, but i think it was worth it in the end

    55. What a beautiful little hat ! I wish I knew how to knit. She is adorable.
