My little Zoe is getting ready for a meet this weekend where she's going to dress up as a punk rocker.

littlegreycoconut your Multyhead Bonnie is so cute. It isn't logic but I feel multiheads tend to look more like real babies even though it should be the other way around. Perhaps that's just me though.

Finally found a little time this evening to finish the sanding to get a better fit on my pukitaur. I'm very happy with her. Dony is a beauty, and I love the eyes she was sent with.

oh gosh! my tan Luna arrived today so now the triplets are finally together! I'll have to send them off for face-ups soon but I'm still debating if I want to get my ns girl redone because I feel her default lips are too mauve/purple.

bell is borrowing a wig and clothes from my other pkf at the moment, but i'm just so incredibly smitten with her. i can't stop looking at her!!

 

it varies but i think my last one came in just under 3 months? usually 3-4 months is a good guess when there are events on and then if it comes faster its a nice surprise. you can also check the waiting room to see what the average delivery times have been lately

The rest of my tans arrived from DDE today - they would have arrived yesterday, but everything was delayed no thanks to that huge storm, including the mail. We didn't get much snow out of it, but just south of here they got almost a foot.

Meet Gail, Swan and Rue (Vanilla, Mio and Choco.)

Gail and Swan both have the original faceups. (And I need to pin that white wig of Swan's back to tame it. It's as fine and flyaway as my own hair is!) I changed Gail and Rue's eyes to glass, but left Swan's defaults in. They're this gorgeous aquamarine color I haven't seen before.

 

Very nice picture LadyMadrigal! When did you order your dolls, or were they in stock at DDE? I had ordered a Cony (NS) through them in early December and am hoping she gets her soon.

Swan's eyes are a pretty color, all of my Pukifees have come with brown!

 

Thanks! I ordered them on the first day of the Halloween event (10/24, I think?) and they shipped Wednesday.

Most of mine have arrived with blue eyes - my Luna was the only one who had brown, and they really didn't suit her at all. My Dony arrived with gorgeous violet eyes, though. Swan's are more of a blue-green in real life. They're really pretty.

Lacerbeam: Thank you. Kinsey is only staying in this dollhouse until hers is finished. Kinsey is not happy with me as I am currently painting my house and not working on hers.
It is no wonder Miss Bell Blossom is sluggish, she has just completed a long journey all the way from Fairyland! She is really precious.

I am just like you RosieART. I want a tan pukifee as well, but it is just not possible at the moment. I am hoping that in the future Fairyland will just make the tan option a permanent one.

 

My Vanilla came a little while back, but she didn't really take to her fullset outfit (card soldier). I finally found another wig for her, and an outfit so here she is:



Outfit is from Fairyland, I'm not sure about the wig! But I put it on her and all of a sudden, she was the adorable little girl she wanted to be.

Remember when I ask you guys about floppy head syndrome and you recommended silicone kips in xs along with restringing?
Well, the silicone kips made a world of difference. I slid them below the neck adapter and she can hold her head into position so much better now. She could still use a bit of tightening, because I also put one in my newer pkf and it works even better on him.

I was a bit skeptical with the kips as they came with my AS boy and didn't do much, but omg, this is magic! I highly recommend them to anyone. I bought mine from acbjd, but releaserain also offers them. I'm so excited, lol, sorry.

Please excuse the weirdness of the tan body and the white faceplate ( I needed a model to check size on clothes) My tan vanilla is with the amazing Akara, and my poor pukisha doesn't have a body, or a wig, or even a name... And after today I don't know why that is! I never realized how crazy cute she is, and her faceup is so beautiful. She was an impulse buy, and she's been in a box for months and months... Time to invest in a white body I think

I need your help again Please could you tell me where I can buy some kind of stand for my pukifee?
She's tired of siting all the time, but I don't want to leave her alone standing without any support

 

I'm not sure where you can find a stand for this size, but I am not sure you need one; my girls have never fallen over when they are left alone. They usually live on a bookcase. If you leave yours far from the edge of her perch, and are careful not to bang around near her, she should be fine. I find wearing shoes helps them to stand securely, as does standing them barefoot on something metal, like the lid of a cookie tin (she won't go anywhere if you do this and the cookie tin is secure). If you really want a stand, you could always try making one, but in my experience, they don't really need one to stand safely. And, if it helps, they are surprisingly resistant - my pukifees have been knocked over a few times doing pictures or when I wasn't careful, and the only time one was damaged in any way was a small chip in the sealant of a nose after one of the girls got blown over face first into pavement on a photo shoot.

Sofie is standing safely when I'm doing photos or when I'm in the room playing with my other girls, but when I'm finished I always put her in a siting position as I'm affraid to leave her alone, I don't know maybe it's irrational fear, but I just get used to my blythes and their stands so I thought that pukifee needs one too

 

Dollinka you can find one on etsy. Search lati yellow stand and it comes up

 

The flat metal discs that come with obitsu magnet feet bodies are perfect for Pukifees! For a regular stand search ebay for small doll stands or check out a craft store (they often have the small cheap metal stands). For a super classy looking stand, Glib/Mudoll has a little mahogany-based one for about $15 iirc.

 

i find the cheapest and easiest stands are the metal disks that you find on the back of magnet sets at the dollar store. they are about 2-1/2" in diameter and usually have 5 or 6 round magnets on them. i buy a bunch and chuck the magnets (or you could use them for other crafts if you like) if you want to pretty them up you can always slide them under a piece of scrapbooking paper that looks like flooring. i use those for all my tinies: rp's pp's and pkf's for photoshoots and anytime i want them to stand securely.

hmm, maybe they were out of them or just hiding? i find them usually in the craft section or stationary depending on the dollar store.

 

I wish I'd thought to stick washers or something under the little rug in my bookcase dollhouse when I was taking photos a couple of days ago. Tempest, my Dony, can stand barefoot on an uneven (unmagnetic) rock like - well, a rock - but a little rug? Not so much.

I leave my girls either sitting or lying down when I'm not playing with them. The bookcase is the safest spot for them, but I'm always afraid something is going to hit it or shake it.

 

that gives me a great idea for prop building! i'll have to stick some metal pieces like nuts or washers inside of paper mache rocks for all my tinies to climb on
