Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 66

Feb 2, 2021

    1. Has anyone seen Dina blank yet? I tried finding her on the a la carte page, but I don't see a photo of her blank sculpt :)

    2. @Tippetarius Luha does come with heeled feet but not all of them do. I don't think Dina does. It also depends on their shoe release.

@Sheenny You can see her event head blank and that's sorta like seeing her sculpt blank from nose up.

    3. Fullset females typically come with heeled feet. I bought the Eva fullset when she was released, and she included heel feet even though her shoes had a magnet to attach to the ankle.

    4. @thakyuki I don't think the fullsets with resin shoes come with heeled feet. Which is kind of crazy IMO with the price! But I bought a pair with my Angela because I don't think they come with her.??

    5. The Eva fullsets did. Her original listing on FL's website lists the flat + heel feet with the body, as well as the resin shoes. They also list the heeled feet for both Maya sets, which I believe both had resin shoes.

Maybe it's only the MNF fullsets that do this? And maybe the F60 and F65 don't?

    6. Hummm I think, though my memory sucks, that we asked and they said no, which made us rather annoyed, LOL. So I ordered Angela some heeled feet, and thus may have an extra pair :doh

    7. Well, you can give her 2 pedicure looks without having to wipe the blushing in between!

    8. Does anyone know if Minifee magnetic ankle parts are compatible with the old circa 2016 A-Line body?

    9. The minifee Iru outfit that I purchased from someone arrived yesterday and I’m so happy with it! It looks amazing :D

    10. Sueding on Sia has been going well. Waiting on new elastics for her since the ones inside did not have any slack left to work with for loosening. Even with hemostats holding the elastic I still bent a metal crochet hook trying to get the ankle hook off in order to un-string her. Ended up re-utilizing the head/body/legs elastic as the new arm elastics after I shortened it a smidge. There was no need for me to suede the elbow and wrist joints, but I did do the shoulder wells. She poses like a dream in the arms now. So until the rest of her new elastics arrive in the mail, she is currently napping in her box partially assembled. All the sueding is done and appears to still fit flush when I held the joints together. I will be able to report back in more detail once I have completed re-stringing.

    11. Does anyone happen to know if the new minifee Alan head will fit on a motion line body? Are all minifee heads and bodies interchangeable?

    12. He’s available on the a la carte section for that body, so yes.

    13. Does anyone happen to know if the new minifee Alan head will fit on a motion line body? Are all head and bodies interchangeable?
Perfect, thank you so much for your help! I didn’t realize there was an a la carte option, that’s a great way of checking :3nodding:

      • x 1
    14. They do, yes! Converting the old A-lines are the whole reason those parts were made and sold separately ^_^

Not all heads and bodies are interchangeable! However, most of them are. Also, looking closer at the sales post, Alan specifically comes on the motion line body, so that's a definite yes, lol.

    15. Thank you for your help! I’m purchasing a body later on so it’s good to know what the possibilities are:3nodding:

    16. Thanks all who answered about the heel feet. I am glad I wont have to make a random parts order for Bowsette.
And in related news today I learned my tablet likes to autocorrect when I am not looking and thinks Luha should be Luna. :doh

      • x 1
    17. Lol! Autocorrect is the worst sometimes

While I wait for my Luha, I finally thought of a name for my Minifee Momo. This is Beatrix (Trixie)!

    19. Beatrix is lovely! :D

    20. Sorry @amandylion , I fell off notifications. That's a great idea, I'll get hands to match as well, LOL

      Congrats @Eviana , it's great when a purchase turns out well :D

Looking forward to hearing how the sueding works out @Spectrum_Rhapsody

I'm currently not speaking with my phone anymore for that very reason @Tippetarius (spell correct irritates me, can't live with it, can't live without it ugh!) :mwahaha

      Aw, Trixie is gorgeous, @cherryblossoms

    22. Sammy got himself a new jacket and I just had to snap a quick pic. I love it so much X'D

    24. I just painted mine. I'll post a picture tomorrow. It was fun! I didn't really do anything very unique, but you could have a lot of fun with them!

    25. This is my first time ever posting in this thread.. So hello there!
I just wanted to ask if anybody knows how long the Fairyland waiting times are at the moment?
I ordered a Celine in natural skin with a face up back in January.. It would be nice to get her before my birthday in June :XD:

      • x 1
    26. Hi! Welcome! Currently wait times are about 6 months or so! If you go on the waitlist thread, you can see the list of people waiting for their dolls from Fairyland there!

    27. Hi and welcome to the thread @swedishdoll
As above wait times vary, it is best to poke the waiting room for better details.
If you have any MNF related questions feel free to ask, and odds are at least one person will have an answer of some kind.

    28. I don't think I’ve posted my Shushu, Akari, in here yet. I made her an outfit a few weeks ago using a DG Requiem pattern. I suck at posing so she looks like she's a bit upset at being forced to take the pic lol.

    29. That's a perfect Shushu outfit, @coop52 . For some reason I always see Shushus as wearing "popular girl clothes" which that fits :love

    30. Ahhh, I'm so excited! DDE had added some tan minifees into their in-stock section. Found a partner for a Rendia, so I put her on layaway :) Hopefully I'll pay her off way sooner, though. I also bought a headback from Buffdolls for my unoa girl, so... hybrid commencing? I'll have to experiment with resin matching once the weather improves some more, but I am really excited. Anyone else have any minifee-unoa hybrids?

    31. I don't have any unoa / mnf hybrids but I've seen a few over the years, especially when they were the two most popular msd sized dolls :) I don't know if the resin matches though??

    32. DDE just shipped my white Luha. I can't wait to see her for real. Anyone else get their girl? :cheer

    33. @cherryblossoms, Trixie is adorable. I love white wigs!

      Can't wait to see it!

I ordered 2 in October and received them in February. I ordered through DD though.

    34. That was quick @Guysndolls , maybe Fairyland has caught up and are in full swing again :D

    35. They're pretty different! I will be trying my hand at resin matching though, so I am not bothered :)

    36. Cool @Epona :D Looking forward to seeing her!

    37. Hi Everyone! I haven’t posted here in a few years. I have a question I am hoping you guys can answer...., do Moe line mag on feet fit the A line body? I have only ever had A line and Fairyline so need some help from someone has both Moe and Aline. I have some really cute YoSD boots and shoes so am wondering if I could use Moe feet sometimes.

    38. I was playing around with it awhile back when I got my bodies, and I can double check in a bit, but I want to say the moe feet can fit on the aline ankle magnet, but the aline feet have smaller holes so they can't fit on the moe ankle magnet! I am not sure if they would be more prone to falling off since it won't be as snug of a fit, though... I think it would rely on the magnets a lot more (than they already do, anyways).

    39. I can add that boy Moe line dolls can use boy A line feet.

    40. I just received my Vampire-Elf Jiyu from DDE, and I found that, even though he's a slim MSD, he doesn't weigh as much as my other MSDs!! Has this always been the case for moe-line boy bodies? Are MNFs just super duper light because of the particular materials used to make them?

It's kinda bothering me, but I'm not sure what I can do to get him to a nice weight...

    41. Unless you feed him, I don't think he's going to gain any weight.:kitty2

On the Measurements Table page, it lists the weights of most of FL's dolls. I don't know if you have original A-lines or anything, but the table should help.

    42. I can't speak for the boys, but I've had some older aline girl bodies (~2010 I think), and I didn't really notice a significant difference between them, my newer alines, and some of my other slim msds (doll leaves, resinsoul, and a really old unoa from like... 2003).
I am sure if I was to directly compare them there might be a difference, but just handling my dolls in general, I didn't really notice anything super significant.

I think their light weight might make them easier to pose (sans wind, anyways lol), and I've heard they're lighter than Fairyland's old dolls (not sure what year)... though newer minifees appear to be pinker than old new minifees, so I'd assume their resin formula may have changed over the years. I can't really think of anyway to make him a bit more heavier to handle, though ^^; I don't think sueding and wires would add much of anything!

      • x 1
    43. MNFs are super light! I've owned and held other's non-MNF MSDs, and MNF feels like less than half the weight of them. I forget every time I have to pick one up. Heck, the Barbies I have to move when rearranging shelves seem about the same weight, though Barbie is way smaller.

      • x 2
    44. Thank You!! Since the shoes I am thinking about are boots, it might stabilize the ankles if the feet fit.

    45. My Sylvia is home! My mom got mad that there was a package for me (apparently I'm an adult but get shamed for spending money) and asked what I spent my money on. I lied and said yarn (it weighs about the same as a box full of yarn!)

I am loving her grumpy face, and never thought I'd be sucked into the Fairyland tan.

    46. @thakyuki She's really pretty! I really like her outfit!

    47. MNF (and FL dolls in general) have thinner resin and weigh less than most other company dolls I've handled. I used to think this felt "cheap" for the larger dolls, but in terms of the MNF it's actually kind of nice. To me at least? They're just so easily handleable and they pose really easily. I don't think you could do anything to "add" weight without making the weight uneven.

    48. I always thought that people were just overstating when they said Minifees were lightweight.......until I bought a Dollzone Mili. Boy, was I wrong!

      • x 1
    49. The boxes are much smaller than most companies too - which I really like since it makes for easier storage. :3nodding:

    50. I just happen to have a weight comparison picture of my doll family which included a minifee on my phone, so I will just share it here for reference

You can see that even though my Lithas (Minifee Klaus) is on an A-Line muscular type body, he's still about 100g lighter than other of my msds. So, I guess the girl and moe boy should be lighter than 500g.

I personally like the light weight of minifee though. After all if the doll are well balance and could nicely hold the pose, I'd say it's a good doll, and Lithas is really a good boy! (At least in my opinion:lol:)

    51. She's gorgeous, congratulations!!!

    52. Hello! Can anyone with a recent a-line boy body tell me if the feet are magnetic or hook please?

    53. All newer A-line MiniFee have magnetic feet, only the older A-line bodies have the hook feet. Had to look at the information on Fairyland's website and DDE.

    55. Thanks for asking the question, @Zavrinas , and for the answer @derilan85 . I didn't know that and have an A-line boy body coming soon!
