@redmaiko Yeah, I only had my tan Littlefee, Aelin, up until about July of this year, then I ordered Lia (tan mnf) in the end-of-tan sale. And then I found Gil (ns mnf) for sale on Facebook and had to snap him up. And then I found Apollo, a delf tanning el. I followed the seller from Insta to the marketplace here to get him. .. I need more pics of my Els.
I can't wait to show off all my new kids at the next meets!

They've added the tan skin option for Alan! (Announcement on the official website here.) I had ordered him the day he came out, so I followed the directions to send a request to change from the natural skin option to the tan skin option.

 

Question for everyone that has gotten the limited event heads specific to individual packages before (like sculpt specific vampire and elf heads for example)...

I just ordered Alan in tan and selected the A head as the event head. Will that "A" head be tan as well? I know the event heads that can be added on to any order over a certain amount tend to only be available in NS or WS. Is it different because it is a variation on the sculpt itself? Any input is appreciated! I've never ordered a full set from Fairyland before so this is all new to me.

I would double check @malvinas , but I just read in the waiting room that the event heads should be the same color as the doll ordered. Double check though by writing them

 

Does anyone know if it's possible to order Alan in tan skin as a basic doll? What is the situation with tan, anyway? I know it was limited to events, but I read somewhere it was discontinued? If I can't get him this round (I don't order fullsets) I wonder if Alan will be available in tan in the future.

From the Fairyland Announcement on the event: "2021 Sarang Event gift skin colour is provided in the same colour of the purchasing Designer's Complete / Full Package."
So if you order Alan in tan, the event head (whichever one you choose) will be in tan. It's their $dollar amount events that the event heads are only available in WS or NS.

 

Fairyland notice board: "Please note that we won't be opening tan skin option for any other MNF parts or A La Carte due to processing schedule. "

So sadly no at this time, I was hoping the same.

 

I hope they do bring back tan for a la carte dolls and parts eventually, because I have quite a few tan floating heads at this point (it’s completely my own doing, but still. )

 

Pretty adorable if you ask me. The face is so neutral it could go on a girl or boy body. It’s nice!

I saw that Crow doll too and he is amazing! I had to share the pic with my cousin who loves that movie.

 

I’m so in love with him! I think my heart skipped some beats when I first saw him.
He has one of the prettiest dollfaces I’ve seen and to top it off I love the Alice in Wonderland outfit and accessories.
All of my dolls have an Alice in Wonderland-theme going on, so Alan would be the perfect addition

 

Alan's sculpt looks very cute, but I also kind of dislike the fact all of the recent minifee sculpts have been very pouty and frown-y. I tend to enjoy my dolls with at least a neutral expression if not a moderately happy one.

I've got a Minifee Mir on order and I think they would go really nicely together so I'll definitely be ordering one in the (near-ish) future

 

I really like their sculpt. However I would prefer it for a female Minifee.

 

I usually find minifee faces to be very samey but he's actually quite cute. His blank sculpt shares that "generically pretty" thing that all fairyland sculpts have but something about it feels a little more... I dunno... interesting to paint? The soft androgyny appeals to me. He reminds me a bit of a few other company sculpts with those cat-like eye shape and very sort of soft profile.

but I will be unlikely to purchase as I think fairyland dolls are massively overpriced and I'm not hugely keen on their bodies. The boy bodies look ok I suppose but it's not great and I genuinely dislike the female bodies which i think makes me one of the minority lol.

But he's one of the most interesting minifees i've seen. he reminds me a bit of dc's bella, I think it's the angle of the eyes and the soft nose.

I wonder what his grump face looks like blank. I hate how so many companies can't be bothered showing you blank photos. You're likely gonna be buying the doll blank for goodness sake, surely customers want to see what they'll be getting clearly!??

 

He's definitely a bit more interesting compared to a lot of the other bland, very same-y sculpts in the Minifee line (with the exception of Mika/Mir for me at least). The eye shape is especially intriguing. I do have to agree with @Noel0H that he'd look better as a female (I prefer smaller eyes and a longer face for females, and all the female MNF faces don't really fit that description).

I'm not too keen on the fullset, however—and probably won't get him. He is cute though.

But I agree that some companies should put the doll without faceup/clothes in the set pictures.

 

I love Alan, and his event head A, and outfit, and little caterpillar. In fact I loved him enough that my S.O. ordered him for me as a gift for our up coming 20 year anniversary.

 

The doll himself is not for me, but I like his caterpillar.

 

I managed to find a blank pic of the vampire head too (same as regular just with fangs) and someone did post the smirky cranky face but i'm not sure where they got that image. Huh... wierd.
Fairyland don't make it easy.

But unless I happen upon just the head and attachment piece I can't see him joining me. But if they go more into this direction they might make more sculpts that I actually LIKE which will be interesting.

Alan... might have been my first unplanned doll purchase in nearly a decade xD; I don't even think I -have- any dolls in my crew that I didn't already have a solid character for before purchasing anymore! I got so excited that I found myself canonballing back onto the social side of the hobby even though I've been largely absent for over three years (and my activity had been dwindling for a while before that) I don't remember the last time I was this smitten with a doll honestly... I even had a dream about him last night which... I don't ever think has happened to me before either.

I've been reading back on the thread and I'm so happy to see so many names I recognise, but also so many new people! I'm really excited to talk with all of you again and get back into the swing of things... I've sorely missed looking at your beautiful dolls!

Also here's a picture of my little Vittya as tribute. Not the best but I love the ambiance in it.
One of these days I will finally work on this poor boy's wig, I swear...

 

Sometimes life takes you in a different direction, and you need to focus somewhere else. Then it slows down and you fall right back into your hobbies I think that's what happened to me Welcome back @Soenatte Your Vittya is adorable!

 

Alan is such a nice sculpt. I can't order him at this time, but he's certainly a doll that will likely be in my mind for a long time. I'm really excited for everyone that is able to order him, and will be looking forward to seeing him being delivered!

 

I just got the mnf roller skates. Has anyone gotten these and painted them? So many ideas for them right now!

 

I keep looking at them, but haven't splurged on them. DDE has them, at least in f60 size right now.

I really want to try maybe crafting some things while I wait on Alan... I feel like the wait is going to be the end of me xD; Also thank you!!! Viktor is literally my most easygoing doll. He was perfect right out of the box, never caused me trouble with anything, he photographs well even though I was dreading fairyland's white skin, I just love it when that happens~

Unfortunately not ;_; but I'd love to see what you come up with! I was looking at them when I placed the order for my Alan but ultimately didn't think any of my characters would make use of them. They're really amazing though!

Ohhh! Congrats on the laptop!!!! Being without is literally the worst thing. I don't even know what I'd do without my computer >< Shushu is looking good also!

 

He really is cute @Soenatte . When my Marcia comes, she'll come with a male body, and I'll have my first Minifee boy because I'm going to use it on my Juri 2020 head. So I love seeing all the boys I'm so excited for that, but I have to burry the thought again, it's creeping to the surface. It'll still be some time, so I don't want to go crazy with waiting angst, LOL.

 

Just claimed an Alan default head with faceup+random eyes as part of a fullset split hosted by a member of a BJD facebook group! It was a bit of an impulse decision, but one I definitely don't regret as after looking at that face several times since I first saw it announced something in the back of my mind told me I wanted it... and now I have an idea what for! I was struggling hard on shelling a character I thought I already had planned, originally a Mystic Kids Romeo X, but I came to realize I only really liked the MK body, and fell out of love with the face sculpt. I didn't have a clue how to begin looking for a new face that fit until I was suddenly struck by inspiration lightning looking at Alan's cute-but-not-too-childish pout. So now I have probably close to 6+ months to slowly assemble the rest of this doll, including the MK 3-joint torso 46cm body (here's hoping one of their skin colours matches Fairyland's NS close enough) and the wig(s) I have my eye on. Alan will be transformed into a fashion model (who is also a trans girl) and partly sharing a cutesy soft pastel wardrobe with my mini dollfie dream girl Ayako. While Aya is a smiling ray of sunshine, still-nameless-hybrid-girl will be more of a contrast with her bored expression lol

@gaymergoose I find it great, you are making your Alan a trans female. I was thinking of getting a 2nd body for the default head of my Alan full set and maybe making a trans boy out of it, but we will see how it goes. (Alan's normal face/mold blurs the gender line in a way that makes me very happy.) Pout face event head is getting the default boy body, and likely the Hatter outfit, though there is a chance my incoming Tika might steal it and be my Mad Hatter. (Tika's smirk might work better for a "mad person")

 

Thank you so much!!! Believe it or not it's my first laptop ever. I used to use a desk top at my job but when the job went away so did the desk top. The larger screen (than my phone) is a big plus too. ShuShu is getting spoiled on new clothes since she looks good in almost everything I buy, lol!!!

 

Dumb question for those in the know, does Luha as a full set come with high heel feet? Do full set MNF girls normally come with those? See I have only ever ordered MNF boys new and mostly as basics, Luha will also be my second mnf full set. Also my at this time lone MNF girl was secondhand and from the days before magnet feet.
