Also, does anyone see the new picture from fairyland official account on instagram? I wonder what kind of doll will it be? Could it be a boy? Since fairyland just discontinue most of the boy sculpt so I'm wonder...

 

I don’t know if it’s changed since then, it’s been a few years since I asked, but basically the serial numbers are not tied to specific dolls. If you give them a serial number they can pull up an order and see if it had the doll in question on it. So dolls A and B were ordered on Order 1 with serial numbers X and Y. Serial number X would correspond to both dolls A and B depending on which you were asking for.

I asked because I mixed up a few in the middle of a move (normally i sharpie the outside plastic with the doll because i lose sticky notes). I wanted to know which went with which doll and they said they wouldn’t tell me (I had like 3 dolls). It has to do with recasters trying to get CoA numbers I think.

 

I know a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a shot of a Minifee Siean head next to a Minifee Karsh head? I was looking at photos and they look kind of similar apart from the eyes being bigger on the Karsh, and was wondering how similar, or if it's just hard to tell through a photo.

 

Hurry up and write the doll's name on it! Lol!

Two of my dolls were in the same order but that leaves the third one who was purchased second hand... this is so confusing, lol.

I honestly wish they had something like SOOM did/does. I haven’t needed to look in a while, but there was a place on SOOM’s website and it would show you what doll was associated with the serial number. I don’t think it was too specific to a person, but I plugged in one and it brought up the doll, the year it was made, and a picture from the listing (it was a special event doll). I much rather like that system, but it would require Fairyland keep a database, and I don’t know the workload vs employee ratio between each company.

 

WOW, @himitsu, I hope that Fairyland helps you out! But after reading what everyone said about mixing up COAs, I got so paranoid that I wrote "Hisato's body" on the DDE COA that was sent with him.

The original FL one that came with the Juri 2020 event head went with it when I mailed it out today. I was offered a chance to do a MNF head trade, so its all good.

Its my first time with a doll that's new enough to actually have a COA, I take it that it stays with the head, right?

Oh, I didn't get a chance to tell everyone! Hisato's body finally arrived on Friday, and then we got hit with more snow and then Life happened for a bit. I finally had the time to make his boxopening thread tonight! Hisato is finally complete!

I hope that all of you are able to figure out what COAs go with which doll, its got to be pretty frustrating!

The event heads actually don't have CoAs, just the bodies/full dolls. Just to keep everyone on their toes (confused).

 

Oops.

Oh well, I don't ever plan on selling Hisato, and I don't really need it. *shrug*

I suppose I could ask the person I traded the head to to send me a copy of the COA. I'm okay with that. Plus, I have the DDE COA as well.

I had a new arrival of mine today too! I'd been wanting a Jiyu head for a while to be my vampire elf Klaus's sibling, since while I adore my Karsh boy, I think he'd make a better older cousin or something. I managed to snag a secondhand Jiyu boy head and he arrived safely today!

He'll be sharing a body with Ethan (Karsh) for a while. I'm planning on hybriding Ethan's head onto one of my Magic Time bodies to make him a bit taller (plus it's in normal yellow, which matches his older resin a bit more). Just waiting for the head adaptor to get here.

 

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 the last split I did via DDE, I did roughly the same with--sent the FL CoA with the head while I kept the body and the DDE certificate. It works!

 

I plan on doing the same for my incoming splits! The heads get the FL CoA (I'll keep a copy for myself), and I'll keep the DDE certificate (and send a copy of that with the heads). And the event heads will get copies of both certificates.

Denver Doll pup up some minifees and omg they had Ria in tan in stock so I quickly snatched her up with some wigs and hands! I'm so excited to finally get my first Minifee in my hands!

 

I got my boy! He's so pretty.

Currently un-named Minifee Carol on Motion line boy body in tan.

 

This all made me think. I only have 2 minifee so far (and another on the way). I went back and looked at the box opening photos I took and fortunately I recorded the COAs! So now I', going to include sticky notes in with the COAs so I know which one went with which doll.

Yay!! That's how I got both of my minifees while I'm waiting on the first on I actually ordered! I've had to stop mysef from checking DDE's In Stock otherwise I'd go broke!

Now I'll be checking to see if they have hand option #6 in tan lol

I want to eventually get a white skin minifee, but there haven't been one that really stole my heart.

 

I know what you mean about finding the tan hands. I jumped on a few pairs when Fairyland had them in stock on their website so I will probably be waiting over a year for my tan hands since I ordered directly off their site. lol!

 

Omg thank you! I just jumped to Fairyland ordered tan hand #6, so now I have all the hand options I wanted lol. Do fairyland usually take long time for the parts?

 

I honestly don't know. I've never ordered directly from FL, but I have been seeing posts about people having longer waits than normal for production due to the mailing process slowing down and everything going on now. It may be faster since I just ordered hands, but I know that FL was out of materials to make anything in tan skin and once they finished casting everything that was previously ordered in tan, tan wasn't going to be available for a while? So with the increased stress on the postal system combined with the availability of tan skin option, I figured I would be in for a wait.

 

However, they are still making Pukifees in tan so I assume they still have the ability to cast tan. I also need hand #6 and have been looking for it at DDE. I did go directly to Fairyland but I didn't want to pay nearly $50 for it once the shipping was added so I guess I'll keep looking at DDE. They got some other hands in this past week in tan but not #6.

Are ya’ll excited for the new Minifee they revealed tonight? I think I’m going to get mine as a girl.

 

Excited might not be the right word... I'm terrified because that'd be the third event doll I want, in a row I hope he's not on a (new and improved) Moe line body because then I'd definitely be in trouble.

 

I'm sooooooo excited for the new boy. He looks like he could be perfect for a small minifee version of my OC and the outfit is a style I love too. I noticed they implied "new minifee #1" I wonder if there will be another? It doesn't seem typical of them to release two of the same size, but I could be missing something.

Either way, this new boy has his little magnetic hands in my wallet already so I can't wait XD

 

Love the new face sculpt! Very handsome. I think it would also make a pretty girl.

I didn't think DDE had any hands in tan, that was why I resorted to ordering direct a few weeks ago. I guess I will have to check their stock to see what they have. Don't get paid until Tuesday, though. So I probably shouldn't tease myself.

EDIT: Nothing on FL site aside form Lunar New Year news? I didn't see any new sculpt announcement. DDE also doesn't have any minifee hands available in tan for the other ones I would need to order, so there is no temptation there.

Actually, they released Erda and Carol during the same event last year, and before that, I think it was Klaus and Honoka during the 2019 winter event, so it’s totally possible... hmmm...

 

I got inspired by c_u_l_u_r's eyeglasses and had to make a pair of my own. I'd like to do some pretty chain ones, too. I don't think the character my Sia is shelling wears eyeglasses, but her roommate will. (I have two other characters that I want to shell as minifees as well. XD)

 

I think Kim SunHwa may have realized that putting the #1 next to the new boy's picture was a little misleading. Just went back to check, and not only is there an amazing new picture of the next boy () but the new picture is labeled "#pic2" and he edited the previous picture to now read "#pic1". Of course they could surprise us with two of the same size anyway, as dxgirly mentioned it has happened before. But it seems that little hint has been cleared up

Edit: Also, I am getting heavy Alice in Wonderland themed vibes from the two new releases. A white march hare and a caterpillar, perhaps?? The new boy seems to have a very grumpy little caterpillar friend with his fullset!

 

Need help: I have a pair of black jointed wings I got with a Fairyland event purchase. I can't remember when they were made. I've looked at my old invoices but they don't list the event gifts. Can anybody help me with information?

 

@sazzlynn Are they an opaque black? I have a pair that were an event item with my littlefee pong 2 when he was first released. He arrived in February of 2015 if that helps! They are smaller than Minifee Ria’s wings.

 

Are they mnf sized bat wings? If they are, they're from the minifee Ria fullset, which was released in 2016!
Lord I just realized that means I've had my Ria for over four years and only just this year got her a face-up I liked @o@;

But ooh, I like the new boy's face! Can't wait for more pics...

 

in the middle of overhauling the doll crew, and Koray got a new name and a new outfit. I don't want to admit how long it took me to find those damn pants. i need better storage.

@Nasa Love the new outfit! Also, I totally feel you about the missing pants thing. I just bought a big organizer to store my doll stuff in, but I'm still missing things - including a pair of cargo pants I really wanted to use on one of my boys last night.

Anyhow, I realized that my older Karsh's head mellowed resin tone actually matches the normal yellow resin tone of one of my other bodies, so one neck connector later and Ethan has his own body now. So I can now photograph all three of my fairyland boys together!

Yay family.

The Ria wings are one solid piece in the center. The opaque black wings were part of the Halloween event when the Mio m-line set was released.

The new minifee boy is really cute! Can't wait for when we can get some new photos of him, though - I think he might make for a really cute girl. We will see!

I was wondering if anyone had photos of a minifee aline renewal with the cutie bust and one with the small bust (a & b)? I know Fairyland has some side-by-sides on their website, but they're not full body, so any help would be appreciated! I am trying to decide if I should use the small bust for the hybrid, or if the cutie bust might be more fitting... it's oh-so-tempting if I got the a bust because it means I could give my minifee siean her new body in the meantime since I already have a b bust body though... LOL.

On that note, what's the best way to unstring a minifee aline renewal body? Specifically, which part is the easiest to start with? I know for loosely strung minifees, I could start with the feet, and the Fairyline body I had ages ago I could start with the neck piece since the neck mechanism was different from the minifee neck mech, but I am at a bit of a loss with a brand new minifee. ^^; Not going to lie, if I could get the Fairyline neck mech on the minifee body I would do in in a heart beat, though... it's so much simpler to deal with.

So I ordered a guitar for my girl Seraphine and it came in today! I was shocked at how fast, considering it came from the UK and I'm in Alaska o_O
I'm super pleased, though, so high quality and also the perfect color! it's a tad large for her, but not egregious, I think!

 

Doll mail is so much fun! I'm still waiting on my clothing haul from a couple weeks ago. Packages coming from Europe and Asia are gonna be a minute, though. It is fun when everything arrives together. I made a couple choker necklaces and a few pairs of earrings today for my Sia, so she sort of had a "haul" today. Lol!

 

@Hakari-chan I love it it suits her perfectly! One of these days I hope to get an acoustic guitar for my girls to share.

And speaking of Alaska... I just moved there last summer! I told myself that I wouldn’t buy any new dolls while living here because I was worried about how badly packages delivered to the island can get banged up sometimes, buuuuuut DDE had the EXACT doll I wanted in stock
Needless to say, I have a tan Rens on the A-line body, cutie legs and large bust on the way home to me now. I haven’t even been here for a year yet and I’ve already broken my resolve. I hope she gets here soon!

 

Maintenance question. I have restrung dolls before, but never a Fairyland one. How on earth does one get the head key disassembled in order to get the S hook out of it? Sia is too tight and the s hook is so far down in the key that there is no way to get it out with pliers without slipping and marring the resin. I tried to look up youtube videos, but all I seem to find are not related to UNstringing. Once I get that key off, I can get to the rest of the doll fine. Or should I start somewhere else first? Like a hand or foot to reduce the tension in the neck? I don't know if FL strings their minifees different than other companies, so I don't know what to expect.
