Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 66

I am picky on girls, and have the last girl with both vampire heads on layaway, so hopefully I should be safe from this one. XD
That said she looks really pretty so I hope for owner spam double so that full set from those that do get her.

 

The new girl is quite pretty, although I would like to see some closer pics of her face. I'm still looking for a face for one of my characters, since Mio didn't quite end up suiting her.

Speaking of unexpected things, I may actually end up keeping my Nanuri21, which definitely wasn't the original plan since I'm not a big fan of faces that are too childish. They're growing on me.

 

I got new wings for my coming minifee Ingrid girl and I dont know if she already has magnets inside her back or do I have to install them for her? she has A-line body and I heard people said only the moe body has magnets. Does anyone know about this?

 

I purchased a girl on an A-line body in December, and it definitely has magnets, her necklace keeps getting stuck in it! My Dina also has back magnets, but she might be on a Fairlyine body, I can't remember. My December and January motion line boys also have magnets.

Kim Sunhwa did another tease! Minifee El and Lishe are coming back with special heads as well. They are definitely different than the old versions of minifee El and Lishe too. I have Lishe and the new version looks much closer to the original Delf Lishe. El as well. I didn't like Minifee El before but I am loving the redesign on him!

I believe when they did the renewal of the A-line girl body, they added magnets to the back, as well as magnetic feet.

 

I’m so excited about them! I want both event heads as well so I’m over here like who do I need to summon for this. I’m such a sucker for the original Delf sculpts.

Personally, I want the event El head. I don't need a whole additional El, though, and mine's in tan anyway (so even if I did go nuts it wouldn't match the current boy). Oh well, I'll just have to hope others get him and I can enjoy him vicariously.

 

EL looks good too, but I love the original face too, they both look good.

has anyone had problems with minifee neck connectors causing difficulty with head posing? my alan head would not stop popping off because whenever I moved the head for a pose the mechanism inside the head to keep it on would slip out of place, and even after using eye putty to keep it stuck in the locked position, the head still seems to only be able to hold a pose in a couple specific angles which is a bummer. When I try and tilt the head a bit to one side, is violently snaps downwards and makes it look like my doll just snapped her own neck! >_<

 

@gaymergoose check to be sure it's not backwards as a first step (if the strings inside got twisted around, that can make the head/neck piece snap in weird directions); I've got a head that, for some reason, doesn't hold the key part quite right, but some neck putty usually keeps it in good shape as long as it's not twisted backwards.

 

@gaymergoose my Alan just came in today and I've noticed that the lock mechanism shifts when I reposition his head and if I do it often enough, the head will detach from the neck. Another thing that bothers me is that his headcap keeps coming off whenever I take off his wig. I hope there are ways to fix these things. Other than that he's really cute and I absolutely adore him.

I wonder if maybe she's strung a bit tight? I own quite a few MNF, and some of mine do this, but yours seems to be an extreme case.

 

Mine also has a headcap that keeps falling off! the magnets seem really weak and barely hold the headcap on. thankfully I can just use some small bits of tape to keep it on.

what is the correct orientation? I'm not sure which part is supposed to be the front if I'm honest.

it's actually not a minifee body, it's a secondhand Charm Doll boy body with the minifee neck connector installed instead of an S-hook. I'm wondering if it's more of an issue when the neck connector is on a different body. She is strung pretty tight, but I'm too much of a novice to attempt a restringing.

 

Washi tape is my bestie when it comes to a good chunk of my minifee heads.

Huh, I just tried Alan's head on bodies other than the one he came with (A-line Boy), including the bodies I've used for other hybrids, and he does seem looser than expected. This seems true for both the event and regular head. I put some suede strips on the inside part of his head where it would meet the connector and it seems to help a bit. Maybe his neck hole is bigger for some reason?


My solution at the moment. Seems to work well enough. Other heads, including grumpy Dina and Nanuri2021 fit the adaptor fine, so who knows? Mio actually was a bit wobbly too, though.

 

Here are my twins. Both Alans with factory face ups. The boy came with sleeping head so until they get new face ups I am hoping they can share. They are both works in progress as well as best friend a Honoka named Brooke.

@animemom I love your twins, and I love how the Alan mold works as either male or female with it's default face up.

My own Alan is still sitting armless waiting on DDE to get and send me his replacement parts. The poor dear at least has eyes and a wig.

 

Sorry to hear about the damage. I am convinced doll companies are getting stingy with the elastic as every new doll I have received is so tight.

I love both of my Alan heads so much that I've temporarily hybridded the normal head onto a Myou Doll body. Suits the character I wanted him for, since he's supposed to be super tall. So here's Mikael (aka Miki) and Camden.

can boy motion line body wear clothing advertised for mdd? as i check and they both have 13cm waist and 18cm hips.
and the girl new active line shoulder and bust also similar to mdd.

 

Changed Willow's eyes to something less intense. I also had her try on some other outfits. I bought most of her stuff from Elite Doll World on Etsy.

@marxwyn For pants I think it would work. I just had my Alan try on some pants that fit my JID girl and my Dollpamm anime girl (has similar measurements to MDD). The pants stay on, but they are baggy/loose around the hips, thighs and legs; not as snug and form fitting on him like it is on them.

I gave my Alan's sleeping head a face-up late last night. I love how it came out. I'm not ready to remove his OE head's default face-up just yet but that's ok. I'm enjoying the sleeping head a lot more than I though I would. He still doesn't have a name. But I'm thinking something androgynous.



I feel like he embodies what I want to do all the time: just snuggle up in a blanket and take a nap.

I really like the new El and Lishe sculpts... Is there any information about them yet? If they're going to be fullsets, or "a la carte", or event heads...
The only thing I saw so far is a photo, but I'm interested!

What do you guys think of the new Fairyland minifee coming out?! I’m so excited! I’m about 98% sure it’s Miwa. I tried to determine when she’d be released by looking at the “sneak peaks” from previous dolls then the actual date of release- I would assume sometime this week early next week? For orders

I'd like to see some closeups of her face, but so far she's pretty cute! I could see her being Miwa, especially with that tongue out head.

I think the new minifee is adorable and strangely, reminds me of someone I know. I think I like her outfit best of all.

 

Hey guys, I am gearing up to get a minifee boy and I am having a bit harder of a time finding resources for him.

Where do you guys find well fitting clothes and if someone can point me in the direction of knee high boots I will love you forever!

Or Etsy! A lot of bjd creators make clothing, shoes, props for every type of doll. Minifee is 1/4 so definitely select that. Alicebjd has an entire catagorized section for “boy outfits” and then shirts, bottoms, shoes, accessories

 

@AidenEsparza I have been going through Etsy, I have found some for boys but the vast majority seems to be geared towards the ladies (who are damn adorable and I have 5 already soooo ) But shoes are tough with minifee! They have such small feet! I didn't pay close enough attention to the size and while super cute, the sneakers were too big on my girls!

If I had the sewing skills, I'd tap into the MNF Boy market. Sadly, I don't even know where my sewing machine is.

Most of my Minifee don't have shoes, and those that do mostly came from fullsets.

 

Shoe can be tough - I usually only buy shoes that specifically say "minifee" . If they specify moe or active line, I know that they are the "real deal". Below,I have listed the ones I have personally bought from that have worked. There is only one maker that I have bought from that has shoes that would be good for boys. I was going to ask her if she would carry more of her brown boots so I could buy a pair for my new boy. Right now she is a little low in stock, but she usually will re-offer stuff after she has finished making what has been ordered. (TotSamijLisShop) -.I was literally brought to tears when I received the first pair of boot I ordered from her - They were that beautiful!

I just bought my first Minifee moe boy though, so I would appreciate if anybody has any other ideas for boy minifee moe shoes.

(1) TotSamijLisShop on Etsy - beautiful , well made boots and shoes. Some colors of the boots could definitely be used for boys - (2) Summomo82 on Etsy - cute flats for moe and a-line girls - not expensive
(3) NataKo She's on Etsy but she posts her stuff on Instagram first, and often a lot doesn't make it to her Etsy shop. I have bought from her directly through Instagram and it has all gone smoothly - very nice shoes.
(4) DebsAdorables on Ebay Look for - 14" Kish Chrysalis Lark Raven Song Piper" doll shoes. I have bought the ones with the short heels and they fit great for minifee a-line girls.
(5) vesnushkahandmade on Etsy - High heel feet shoes for a-line made from polymer clay - cute

 

I really lucked out with shoes for my lads. Arkady is a fantasy character so I made him shoes based on Viking era finds at Jorvik and Birka. Wee leather boots. I've never pulled it off since that first time but hey, I oughta keep trying.

 

So it looks like that new minifee is Miwa. She's so cute, but I'm trying to resist, I have a lot of girls but I want to focus on guys rn. My Luha is a hybrid with a different body, so I have her original body unused, so maybe I can get the head only one day!

The fullset outfits are so pretty, plus with the event heads. They really know how to draw me in lol

 

Marking myself safe from the MNF Miwa. Her set is cute, but not for me. Though I can't wait to see others post pics of her!

@Koma I don't think so, but in their newer website, there's a banner type thing that says minifee Miwa with her picture. It says sales start Sept 22, so maybe that's when they'll post the pictures!

I swear I did not forget about this question! I just had the busiest week followed by the busiest weekend... but I did finally have a chance to pull Al (my own hybrid) down for a photo:



My understanding is that the arrow should point forward, and that's how I attached his neck piece when I got it for him. His head (Sarang) does have a little wobble that I fix with some putty, but is fully posable with no weird snapping or twisting around. (I played around a bit while I had him down, and it felt like he actually had slightly less wobble with his head on backwards, but the key still slowly loosened up when I moved his head, so he's back together with the arrow forward and a wad of putty stuck behind it.)

 

The new Fairyland event is up. I'm not very interested in these fullset dolls but I'm very, very intrigued by the new versions of El and Lishe that Denver Doll has separated into a new category called "Lookback"... El and Lishe were never my favorites, but the fact that they're treating this as a new line has be buzzing with the possibilities of more accurate 1/4 versions of classic Delf sculpts! My wallet's going to hurt if they do Soony or maybe Miyu...

 

I'm not feeling it with Miwa, but I do love the outfit, shoes and wig, so I'm probably gonna try to get in to a split for them. Gonna try to hold off for couple weeks tho as my wallet took quite a hit this month ^^;
I'm still trying to manifest Fairyland to re-release mermaids lol

 

I am newer to Fairyland ranks... I wonder if I beg on my hands and knees if they will ever make jointed kitty paws?

Also, is it just me or does it look like Lishe has had a few tweaks since the first teaser picture? I'm not sure if it's lighting, different resin color or something else but the lips look different to me. I really loved that subtle smirk going on before. Maybe I'm just seeing things? My wallet could be trying to trick me out of my plans for a tan Lishe boy!

Edit: Nevermind! Just saw clearer pics on Fairyland's site. I do think there has been a smidge of tweaks but the essence of what I am hoping for is there! Yay!

 

The new Minifee Miwa is lovely. I have a thing for white eyelashes. If hadn't gotten FL60 Miwa home just yesterday, I would seriously consider getting her.

 

So torn! I really like the new minifee full set, but the new limited Dollfie Dream is calling to me as well!!

 

I am safe this time around! Hooray! LOL I have some Mirwen spam for everyone though! I never used to like this sculpt, but she is so versatile.

I'm contemplating whether Miwa would be a good fit for my character that I've been trying to shell, she kinda has that cute little grin. Going to waffle about that one for a while.
