Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 66

how is Fairyland fullsets quality? do they withstand aginst time? do they use real leather or pleather?

 

@marxwyn they have a decent quality from what I've seen. The cutting is neat and good in detail, also perfectly fit on doll. Resin parts are of good quality. They're using synthetic fiber for wig and synthetic leather for some leather parts. You can still expect some flaw, however. Overall, not perfect but very good.

Would anyone here be able to identify a pair of Fairyland feet parts?

I ordered Minifee heel feet but recieved heel feet that were evidently too large, but I'm not familiar with Fairyland's other doll lines, so I have no clue what they are.

Fairyland did send me the correct Minifee parts after I emailed customer service, but they said I didn't have to send the incorrect parts back and could just keep them -- so now I have a pair of way-too-big doll feet parts sitting around, and I can't even sell them because I don't even know what line they're for.

I took some pictures comparing the incorrect parts to the MNF sized feet, but I'll keep it under the spoilers mark.

Would you say piercing her ears was hard? I really like the idea of having my minifee wear earrings, but I've never modded a doll before that way, especially not a resin one. Fairyland discontinued my doll's sculpt a short while after I purchased it too, so I'm pretty scared of messing up the head.

Is ear piercing mods something people offer commissions for at all? I'd probably consider paying a skilled modder to do it for me instead of doing it myself.

 

I would say these feet they sent you are for one of the smaller Feeple girls. However I do not have a female from any of the Feeple lines, but I do have the Feeple version of Erda. (And two MNF Erda dolls, for 3 Erdas). Anyway based on that my Feeple boy is in the 60/63cms range give or take, and how short and slim he is. And how small his feet are, I am willing to say those are for one of the shorter Feeple line girls. Heck given the MNF heel feet will fit the boys, I would say those might even fit my Feeple boy. XD

 

What are the measurements of your mystery feet? That could help ID them, too.

 

Hi guys! I have a simply question. How long does Processing time usually take for a Tan Minifee?

Last time I ordered from Fairyland was on 2011, and it was normal skin and took about 2 months to finish. I received the doll in about 2.5 months from the moment I paid to the moment it was delivered.

I just bought a Tan Minifee in a la Carte and processing began on July 5. I just want to know what the waiting time is so I stop checking the website every second day lmao. Is it still about 2 months? 3? More?

I am currently still waiting for my Tan Alan to ship who I purchased on March 5th so you unfortunately probably have a little bit of a wait yet. Hopefully things start picking up for them soon though and they can eventually get back to the 3 month wait.

 

@ashefaust I’m thinking a Feeple60. Tomorrow, I’ll take a picture, comparing my Minifee‘a heel feet to my Feeple60‘s heel feet and see what you think.

Omg for real?? Wow how long have things been this way? And here I thought I would be getting my boy by the end of September. What happened? What did I miss?

 

@Chibimanager To be honest, hardly any bjd company except Resinsoul will get you a doll in 2 months or less anymore. 4-6 months is normal, if not a short wait for some companies! Of course, sometimes you get lucky and manage to get someone else's cancelled order or something was cast extra.

 

Wait times have been really slowed by covid, that said a few companies like Fairland are almost getting back to their normal wait times. Events, tan skin, and full sets of course are slower productions still.
Bright side even with a 4 to 6 month speed seeming slow, it is still faster then a few companies that have gotten to the one or two years wait times mark.

Yeah I imagined it probably had something to do with Covid. I'm glad to hear they're getting back to regular waiting times.
Omg 1 or 2 years??? Which companies??

 

@Chibimanager Dollshe (2 years, I'm almost sure I'm going to hit 3 before my doll is shipped), Ringdoll (lots of one year+, I've been waiting a year and a half for a blank head), Doll Chateau (a year is normal), Dream Valley occasionally hits a year but they're getting better lately.

Heel Feet comparison F60/M

 

About the long waits the companies named above plus, the last doll I got from Doll Zone took slightly over a year, and my friend almost hit the two year mark with them for a little centaur (like shy by a month or so).
So makes FairyLand and also Iplehouse now both feel super fast to me, as with the last year or so I've had a number of long waits. XD

 

I haven't posted here in a while so I thought I would give my Shushu a little love with a new wig. I think she likes it, lol!!!

Wait Dream Valley too?? I am buying from Alice Collections and they told me it takes around 5 to 6 months for them. I ordered a Bethel just a few weeks ago. Dang I'm gonna start searching more second hand dollies lmao

I'm considering ordering a Dollzone body to make a MNF hybrid but I'm getting discouraged by these news :') I mean, I would still buy it, just knowing I would have to wait for a year makes me cringe lol

After looking at the fairyland website I was thinking that they would probably be Feeple feet since that seems to be the next size line up from Minifee, but wasn't sure how big the difference between the different Feeple lines is. Seems like best bet is Feeple60 based on everyone's opinions?

I hadn't thought of measuring them, but that's a good idea! I'll try and get that done maybe tomorrow if I remember.

 

@KimC she is indeed a beauty green.... er, white skin tone. She's on a 2010 body, but it has it's own slightly green tone, too. LOL

 

Hello fellow cool kids - a quick question! I'm having a bit of an issue with the legs of my motion line boys, seems like the elastic keeps popping out of the inner upper thigh joint and getting stuck in that resin hook in the thigh mobility joint (not sure how to describe it). Anyone have any advice on how to deal with it?

In other news, the twins are now silver haired.

Well, you cant tell from the picture she's green. Mine doesnt have a green cast that I can see, shes more of a creamy white, of course I didnt see her new since I bought her second hand so I have nothing to compare her to.

 

Naoki got a new face up, and I painted my event Alan head to become my other character, Akira. I'm also thinking of redoing my Tika's face, since while he looks good, he could be better now that I've improved my skills.

 

Got the measurement today, the foot length taken with a straight ruler is about 6.5cm (heel feet).

I tried measuring directly against the foot arch with a measuring tape as well but I wasn't able to tell the measurement very well for some reason.

 

@Magnus Vale I have the same issue with my motion line legs, even after switching them with my moe body legs. I'm not sure what to do about it either. :/ The only thing I can really think of is maybe the inner channel is just off a bit and pulling the strings? My friend who got her motionline body I think a year before me doesn't have that problem. So maybe it depends on who did the drilling and sanding?

 

@Zavrinas Perhaps. I received most of my motion line boys at the same time (ordered in the retirement in December, then Alan from his event), and they all seem to be having the problem. My Fairyline Klaus who I ordered a few years ago does not. So you're probably right.

I think I'm going to try putting a thick piece of wire across the inner part of the channel in front of the elastic to see if that will keep it from slipping out. Like a little metal bar, almost.

Hello all! I need help! I have a Karsh on the Motion line body and often his hips get...messed up. I get frustrated trying to get him from stuck in the sitting position to a normal standing position. Are there any videos out there that show how to pose these bodies? His hips have more moving parts than I am used to and I am getting close to giving up on him.

 

my Alan head is finally united with a body! It's a bit floppy and doesn't like to hold a sitting pose too well, but hey thats why it was cheap secondhand lol. for now Mona (also known as Monet) can simply lounge around in their nightdress till their wardrobe from ACBJD arrives (hopefully...... tracking hasnt updated since the 10th )

I recently got Regina (Chloe), and Violet (Celine) back from the spa with Angeltoast and I am just delighted with them! I really do need to get a picture or two uploaded to share.

Oh! If any of you awesome people have a tan Karsh, would you be willing to let me see a little eye candy? I am considering a secondhand search for him to shell someone but I am still relatively new to minifee and the versatility of faceups never ceases to amaze me.

I know right?? Alan's sculpt and face-up are so pretty! It really is versatile too, it can look amazing with a feminine or masculine styling, which is why I couldn't choose just one for my Alan, so I made Mona/Monet genderfluid so they can have the best of both worlds lol

I ended up redoing my Tika boy, Touma's, face, since I had done some funky stuff with his eyebrows the first time around.

@Magnus Vale Thank you, Robin indeed is sweet boy. I like your Tika, he is handsome! What size eyes do you have for him? I recently bought one second hand and am waiting for him to come so any tips on wig size and eyes are welcome.

 

@xaya I believe that they are 14mm small iris eyes. He can take a larger iris as well, but I prefer the smaller for aesthetic reasons. I've also put him in a 6-7 inch wig, so I'd aim for that size. His head is on the smaller side.

She looks beautiful!! They went with littlefee Shue for her steampunk version, so I guess they wanted to go a different direction this time. Can’t wait to see more!
