Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 65

I hope they bring back tan skin soon! I'm planning on getting my first minifee and first tan skin! I finally decided to take the plunge since I commissioned a dress for a minifee from a seamstress whose designs i totally fell in love with. I only have SD13 and Idealian, so im excited for a doll thats more portable lol

 

I can't tell from the image (hair is covering the ears) but doesn't look like it is. I hope she does!

My last minifee was a marketplace purchase of a Spring 2017 event head. She is my Gnomish wizard and I really should give her a photoshoot, but I never finished her dress. All my mnfs deserve a little love, and I hope to set them all up by Xmas??!!

So is anyone excited about getting the mnf summer event head? I hope that when some early orders arrive, everyone will share photos??

I just paid off my tan Luka, and now I'm impatiently waiting for a shipping notice.

I know the moe body gets a lot of flack for being so well endowed, but they're really not that bad once you get some clothes on them

I've got the body from the Ria fullset and she has the big balloon boobies on the A-line body. I had forgotten how hysterical they look until I took her out of storage a few weeks ago and took off her shirt so she could model some things. And I already have a Moe with the smaller of the boobies, so I figured this new girl will get the bigger ones.

I just wish Fairyland would extend the bust options for the Moe line. I know many people (myself included) want a short girl with a small bust!

Yah, I have the moe body in the f60 size, but all my minifees are the old body type, which I love.

 

I freely admit to purposely getting the balloons for my A-line Chloe (I think I'd almost die before getting a Moe... I dislike the legs and feet...)

But for my only girl with the well-endowed rack, she looks pretty good...

 

I wanted to share the new wig I just received.. This is my Rhea - ns Rens painted by
Fairyland. Her new wig is from etsy (KateDollAtelier). She has 12mm Gumdrops
urethane eyes and a little heirloom dress with French laces and embroidery that I’d
made previously. Rhea was an impulse purchase - she may not be as sweet as
my Chloe, but she sure is growing on me!

 

Her wig is lovely, but I have to say, my eyes went right to that amazing dress, that's just WOW!

Separate bodies have been available for ages for MNF. They just don't offer the heads separately.

Oh, well I took a long time off from DoA and came back in 2017 and I still sometimes feel I don't know what's going on, LOL. That and with my terrible memory, I really lose it, LOL

@Koma her human version was an event head in 2018 I think. Her human version is the doll I have on my avatar at the moment.

Ordered a Luha a la carte from DDE earlier today! She’s so pretty! Hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait.

 

Really hoping I can hop onto a split for that gorgeous Luha event head, because those fangs and that expression is delightful! Such a pretty set! Can't wait to see how people style her.

Luha seems to have some plain shoes compared to almost all the previous girl releases.

As far as I am aware NF was what we always called the NF or new family head which was an event head back in 2014.

But I'm currently getting attacked on Facebook, and people are telling me there's no such sculpt because its not on fairylands website.

I'm close to tears, I suffer terribly with anxiety and don't post things for sale often but really needed the funds, what I didn't need was to ganged up on over the name of a sculpt

 

OK, @the*one*just*for*me , hold on there. take a deep breath. I suffer from anxiety and PTSD and I know how that feels. I want to tell you first of all, the people on the internet aren't like they would be in real life. And this could possibly be a two way street, communication without face to face and tone of voice apparent can easily get confrontational. That confrontation will cause horrible anxiety.

I don't know myself of a head named NF, but I wasn't there for many years between like 2013 to 2017. However, if you're remembering a head and you want to find it, one thing Fairyland does have is a gallery that you can search through manually to see past events. It starts here: CP/Fairyland It starts from current pictures and goes back, I'm pretty sure, to the beginning of opening the store??

Hopefully someone will remember here for you, but if not, and you're sure there was a doll named NF, and everyone says there wasn't, don't let that get to you. Just say "I was sure I remember a doll named NF, but if you all say so, I guess there wasn't. I'll keep looking though " and be super polite so that you don't sound argumentative. You're probably fearing that people don't like you now, thus creating anxiety, when it's all probably a communication breakdown. At best, communication is barely above 60% face to face, just think of the misunderstandings when people are writing

There was one head that was called Id or something like that. but that was a Feeple60.... hum?? Hopefully someone else can help. @TeaPartyRevolution knows the history of Fairyland like the back o f her hand, maybe she can come in and help?

But please don't stress, nothing is that bad, and people won't dislike you because of a disagreement! If they do, they don't matter anyway

I just did a google search and there it is, just searched with "Fairyland New Family head" so yes, she is there

I have a New Family head, and I do read NF as New Family. I think it's mostly an abbreviation that's used on Instagram. If you check the minifee tags, there's New Family and NF. People (especially those new to the hobby) might not know of it because the event did happen a while ago.

 

Yes, NF is for the New Family event head. It's not "on" Fairyland's website because IT WAS AN EVENT HEAD. They rarely post the event heads on their website or image blog. (I'm getting frustrated just by reading your frustrations!)

 

The older A-line body I just got secondhand gave me a bit of a heart attack today. It had been used for a hybrid and thus didn't have the neck connector, so I bought a new one from DDE. Thing is, this is my first Fairyland doll- I didn't know the NS resin had been changed recently. When I saw they didn't quite match, I immediately started worrying that I'd accidentally bought a fake (I had no other reason to think it wasn't legit, but...anxiety isn't rational).

And then I found someone talking about the new, pinker NS shade. The relief was real.

 

Aw, @~Suisei_Seki~ , that's scary! Hum, I didn't know the color changed. I have the big Ingrid on order, with the, IMHO, most awesome MNF event head ever, LOL, seriously, I adore that face!, so I'll get to see the colors first hand soon When did the color change? How different is it? I wonderbecause I have heads that need bodies, LOL. Anyways, the difference shouldn't be noticeable with the neck mechanism, it's pretty invisible.

 

I've seen a slight difference from a doll I bought (from DDE) and then ordered hands the following year. It's due to both the age of the resin and each casting batch could be mixed differently. Also, that body may have been exposed to a bit of extra sun at some point.

 

Ah, yes. You know, I hate giving opinions on resin matches because what I think it spot on, others feel there is a difference. I'm not aware of being color blind, but colors do change depending on the light source and tolerance. That is, I don't need perfection, especially when the faceup always seems to change the resin color anyway, LOL. So I'm glad to hear the color difference is minor, @thakyuki as I do need to match some dolls yet.

 

Thanks @thakyuki! Sun exposure and other factors did probably play into it, too. A few people on the marketplace and various blogs mentioned the “new pink NS,” but there’s so much that can affect resin color on top of that. You’re absolutely right.

 

There are some resources that I believe are still on here of methods to attempt to de-oxidize (de-yellow) the resin. I think one method used toothpaste?
I took a break of buying dollies for 2ish years, and did not know there was a "new" color for the Fairyland NS.

 

They’re probably just being jerks because they aren’t very knowledgeable about Minifee event heads and the prices some of them go for. NF definitely stands for New Family and definitely exists and is super sought after, thus the high price it sells at. I had similar issues on Facebook last year when I was selling my Nanuri 19-2 for $300, and had people yelling at me in comments. So I totally understand that feeling *hugs*

I ended up selling my head on Instagram instead. People are usually way less hostile there than on Facebook. In my experience, anyways.

 

Gosh, Facebook sounds awful! I stayed out of there for years and only started using it to connect with a machine knitter's group!

 

I've only been in one doll group on Facebook, and I left it due to pointless drama. I will never join another one.
