I don't think it works if you think of your MNFs as adults, but if you had your collection as kids, it's adorable

 

It pleases me in the sense that I love dolls with unique facial expressions, I just don't have a character it fits! I do think it is quite cute and I hope Fairyland continues to make such unique heads. I can't wait to get the lip biting Luha that I'm going to have from a split.

 

EEP! @Magnus Vale, I just realized that you don't live very far from me, less than 20 minutes!

You got one? LUCKY! I'm going to have to peruse around to get one, its the only MNF Event head I like from this year. I really shouldn't get another MNF, especially since I would want a centaur body for it.

How did you all get replies from Fairyland so quickly? They haven’t responded to me. I used the form on their website.

 

I believe most of them are communicating with DDE, not FL directly. DDE tends to be much more reliable on answering since they're based here in america and english is their native language. FL actually prefers that you order/communicate through them these days since they don't have a full-time translator on staff.

 

Thanks, I went back and re-read just now and you're right. I wonder if FL will be as willing to let me add on as DDE are. I ordered direct from FL because I'm in the UK.

 

Does anyone know if Luts Kid Delf or Model Delf clothes will fit MNFs?

I'm interested in some boy clothes (mostly jeans) for Ichi, my Luts/CP Elf Shiwoo. He has a FL MNF muscular A-line body. There's a possible Luts GO going on, and I'm interested in joining, if the clothes will fit.

Ichi was my second doll, I got him way back in 2010. The boy needs skinny jeans, its no longer 2015, so his baggy jeans has got to go!

I finally received the minifee body to put my Anifee Chocola head on

@Sept She is a cutie! I'm so glad that the clothes fit. When I saw that the anifee had a longer torso and that they couldn't share clothes, I didn't get one, but now I'm glad to see that they do fit.

 

She's so cute. First time I see Anifee from the owner.

 

Kid Delf are a smidge taller and chunkier than MNF, so the clothes will be baggy. The shoes are definitely too big. I do not know about Model Delf, and am wondering the same thing!

 

I don't have a male model delf or an a-line mnf boy (yet!) but I just got my first female model delf and based on how much bigger she is than my female minifee, I'm going to say male model delf clothes will probably not fit a minifee boy. I have a kid delf girl as well and you might have better luck there but the clothes will probably be a bit looser.

However if you need shoes... I again don't have an a-line boy body so I can't say for certain how it would work but the model delf girl flat shoes I bought with my girl are a PERFECT fit on my minifee a-line girls. In fact one of my minifee girls is wearing them and my model delf girl is wearing minifee shoes. I was shocked at how small the model delf feet were.



And I also wanted to share with everyone a new picture I took today. I shoved all of my elf eared minifee girls onto a sofa together in their ugly Christmas sweaters!

 

On topic of sharing stuff, Kid delf shoes do fit A-Line boy feet, or at least the pair I own does. I own all of one pair of shoes meant for Kid Delf males, and they fit my Ciel's (MNF Kyle) A-line feet perfectly like they were made just for him. Keep in mind that the styling might have been a factor and it could be a fluke, but based on my one boy and his shoes I would chance a second pair of shoes/boots for my other boys.

As for clothing I have all of one outfit for the muscly MSD Model Delf boys, and it fits my Iplehouse JID Modle boy well though a bit tightly in places. So I would say that the normal model delf stuff will be very big on MNF boys, but stuff for the new slim body might maybe fit?

I do have a slim Model Delf boy, and four different MNF male body types in my home. A-line muscle, Moe, Motion, and Fairyline. (Heck I also have a male chest Sia boy so that's technically a 5th MNF boy type.) Anyway I could see what fits between them and my slim model delf. That said no photo promises I've been nutsly busy of late and have not had time for the photo taking side of the hobby sadly.

 

Yes, the minifee large bust is a tiny bit more "busty" than Anifee M bust, but it still fits without any struggle! And the color match is identical between the Anifee head and minifee body, whereas the Anifee body isn't exactly the same color as the resin head... It doesn't really show on pics, but in person I was shocked haha. Same for Anifee Hachiroku =/

 

Ooo! I'm glad to hear the MD girl shoes fit MNF! I was just browsing Luts's website and wondered if the shoes fit but could not find any info.

Here's a photo I took years ago of my MNF boy showing the size difference between his bare foot and the other foot wearing a Kid Delf shoe. They are a smidge big for MNF, but if you put on thick socks, they fit well.

HI! sorry, this is not really related but I can't seem to find where to look for an answer. I wasn't in the hobby for a long while and I totally forgot where to check Fairyland's Coa. I have two copies of coa's from splits and I don't remember which doll they belong to

Anyone try general msd clothes (I'm thinking Alice's collections) for their MNF boys? I got the muscle body, not sure why, my boy looks kind of young, but I remember an 8 year old at the mall one time who was promoting a gym and he was weirdly buff, so I figure my boy will be (not 8, but probably 16 ish yo) a gymnast I have no clothes for him though! Any help is appreciated I know you all pointed out differences between model delf and minifee, I just wonder if generic msd will work? Thanks

 

The are all actually christmas tree ornaments from Target! They came tied to little hangers. I just cut them off the hangers and stuck them on my dolls!

Haha yes! However I have to warn you I haven't actually gone to Target this year so I can't guarantee you'll find any. These were collected both last year and the year before but they seem to have them available every year.

@Lillyroos Thank you! Yes she's a modded elf Rin. The sculpt had the dreaming eyes but Angel Toast opened them up more.

To me, larger than needed shoes means a BJD can stand better!

@IngieBee, I often got Ichi (MNF Elf Shiwoo) his clothes either from the MP, ebay or etsy. MNFs currently seem to be "the standard" MSD size, so anything made for them should fit. The only real problem I've been finding is that lately, most etsy shops selling clothes seem to be focusing on girl clothes. Good luck finding boys outfits! If you find any shops on etsy selling MSD boys clothes, feel free to PM me links!

Ichi has not had any real problems wearing anything from Dollmore, Alice's Collection, or any of the other regular BJD stores either, he's on a classic muscular A-line body.

I think this school outfit is either from Dollmore, Sadol or Tata's. Its been years and I don't keep track of where I by clothes from so....

@Lillyroos Oh, she is a lovely girl! I was thinking of asking for people's tan dolls since I was trying to decide, but I think I'll definitely get Dina in tan if that's how the resin looks!

 

I do love the color of my tan Minifee that I bought new in November from DDE in stock, but there are several areas on her body and head which show seams or sanding (this seems to be the case with FairyLand dolls and they do warn you about it.) The head area is an area which would always be covered by a wig and the seam on her side is almost always covered by clothing, but the color is beautiful!

 

Oh yes, I am aware that tanned dolls can't be sanded usually, since it causes discoloration. Still, not planning on putting my girl in any bikinis, so I should be good!

 

Yes, it's not a great color for perfectionists, but personally, I don't mind, I just mind the extra cost!

 

I JUST now realized why the Summer Juri head tickled my brain!

He's the SPITTING IMAGE of the 2012 Feeple 65 Lorence!! Mini Lorence!!

Did anybody else notice this??

 

Oh wow, @Miss_Pygmalion , I have to agree he is very similar. Not having a Lawrence, and only seeing photos online, I think the summer 2020 head has a more squared off lower lip, but that may be an illusion as other painted pictures of Lawrence definitely have squared off lower lips. Gosh It'd be wonderful if they re-made Lawrence!

 

@Magnus Vale Thank you so much. I appreciate you noticed the skin tone. I tried so hard to capture her color because sometimes they end up looking different in pictures. Even though I think Fairyland NS is so beautiful and I'm always in conflict which to order I always end up with tan. The tan color has become more and more beautiful over the years. Carols is a really soft almost red clay color. So happy I helped you decide

The seemliness are a hit or miss with Fairyland. I got lucky with Carol. She has almost no sanding or seemliness. I regret not taking before pictures now. Some of my dolls do but I don't mind it.

 

@Miss_Pygmalion OMG Yes!!! I knew this too! You're literally the only other person i've seen make that connection!

I suppose this isn't more widely known because he was a limited sculpt that was released many years ago and Minifee/Fairyland collectors in general tend to heavily favor the female sculpts, so perhaps many didn't really know about/remember him at all.
Granted I could also see how it could be hard to tell just by looking at Lorence's promo photos but, in case anyone needs convincing, THIS OWNER PHOTO in particular really shows off the true shape of his nose and lower lip and when it is compared to photos of Juri20' it becomes apparent that Juri20' is definitely a close enough facsimile to be considered the Minifee version of Lorence.
I say "close enough" but really, as far as sculpts they've translated into different sizes go, the Minifee version of Lorence is actually very similar to the original. The Feeple65 version of Rin looks much less like Minifee Rin than Juri20' looks like Feeple65 Lorence, for example.

 

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw it!! And I'm extra glad that I'll be getting him with my Sylvia.

On a somewhat related note... if they can faithfully recreate an older sculpt in a different size years later.... why call Madusa Angela version 2?? I really don't see much resemblance. She could have just been a new sculpt, instead of trying to target nostalgia for the "old school" F65 girls.

Now I want a Lawrence!!!! But I'll be happy with my mnf juri20, he's going to get the body my Marcia is coming in on. I can't wait to have a mnf boy, a whole one at that!!!

I found her on Denver Doll Emporium in stock in tan. Occasionally you can find in stock minifees there, but they don’t last long! She was blank - so I did my first face up on her! I’m pretty new to the hobby myself, so I know what you mean about the posing being scary at first! My first 1/4 size dolls were ResinSoul, so the difference in the posing ability was amazing to me!

So..., I think your Aline B chest should have no ploblem with the outfit you had mention. Since Aline boy and girls aren't that much different in high and measurement(?). You could have a try if you really like it.

Ah okay I see, I ordered her directly from the company during the event ♥ I love her in tan, Fairyland has such a beautiful tan skin tone! It's cool for face up! Me I'm so bad in it lol. Honestly I'm not really new because I already have some dolls in my collection but I'm still unconfident owner, I always have that fear to break something not because of price but just because it's.. nah xD I have dolls from Souldoll and they are more easy to pose I think but their joints are more "visible" ^^

Does anyone have any photos of non-modded Elf Rins? I recently acquired one and I haven’t seen many that aren’t modded.

 

There are a few non-modded Elf Rins on Flickr but you are right most are modded, though the ones that are not modded are cute too.

 

I got some good news today, and soon my boy Nigel (human Erda) will have clothing of his own, and not have to barrow the castaway scraps from the other MSDs of my hoard. Tracking number for his clothing order updated and barring no issues (knock on wood) come Christmas Eve he should have something nice to wear. I might try and take some photos of my MNFs over the holiday.

 

I wish! Unfortunately, I live in a city-burb, so no bonfires for me. Oh well, there's next year, after everyone has had their vaccine shots.
