@vicemage can we use our points if we go through DDE? I didn't think so, so mine will just sit there forever with the price of shipping now a days, LOL. And what a cute couple

@Lerika , where did you see the event heads? Is the mnf picture also an event head next to the Angela biting her lip? Why do they always put hands in front of their faces? It's so hard to really see the sculpt!!!

@Epona I agree, I'm dead smitten with the lip biting, OMGosh, I'm in so much trouble. I can't, absolutely can't order one, but must find a way! Still, I knew she was coming and chose Marcia over her.

 

Sadly, I don't think so. I had over 100 points sitting in my account, though, thanks to several large orders (including a couple of local-only GOs) and the "oops our site crashed when we released Sia" apology points. I'd been sitting on them planning to collect as many as I could and offload them all at once, and with the points program ending, this felt like the time to do it. I'd been hoping to get all the way up to a free PukiFee or something, but a $100+ discount on a MNF isn't anything to complain about!

 

This is super unrelated but I just got a lucywen centaur body in the mail and I was wondering if anyone had posing tips? I've been looking around but I haven't found anything on posing specifically lol

 

The head of the event for Dina looks strange and funny at the same time.

I also like Angela's event head more. It seems to me that it will be exactly like with Luha. Only heads for the fullset.

I saw the headlines on Kim SunHwa's Facebook page. Yes, these are the very heads where Angela bites her lip. They do almost always cover their face with their hands.

My Celine (Violet) I got last year. I am hoping to send her to Angeltoast in the spring then I will post photos of her.

My incoming Chloe (Regina) I look forward to meeting, but I am suspecting a longer wait judging by orders from July only having been shipped.

Dina has me excited because she will be a long distance twin with a friend’s Dina! We are both so tickled pink about the notion and mine is already shaping up to a personality in my head. I’ve already even started sketching her, lol.

I hope to in the near future! I have a thing about posting photos before they have a proper face-up

Now that folks are getting their Sylvias, what do you guys think of the sculpt? I've been noticing more and more listings of her up and seeing people are iffy/disappointed with her, and I think I'd feel the same too if I had gotten the OE head (I was in a split for SP head instead and am happy to receive that one!)

There was just something really magical about her company photos that seems difficult to capture with the actual doll? I also feel like there's some different vibe in her fullset outfit. What are your thoughts?

 

From what I've seen (which isn't that much, due to tags still being disabled for Americans on instagram...) I think she is pretty! But I won't really know what I feel about her until I see a lot of custom faceups on her... When I can, I always try to see what other people do with a doll, since Fairyland faceups are so pretty it can be hard to see the 'canvas' of the head, so to speak... especially since Fairyland has taken some VERY poor blank head photos. Like Minifee Maya doesn't even look like Maya... It's such a weird angle.

Sylvia is a more mature sculpt though, and I think some people are a bit 'meh' about her since I think she's a more androgynous sculpt. Most of Fairyland's minifees can go either way, of course, they're very versatile but when you combine that faceup with limited, very flattering angles in the promotional photos... It can be hard. Considering so many of the boys are discontinuing, even new ones like Klaus and Erda, I wonder if Sylvia might have been originally intended as a 'Sylvanus' but was changed later on, honestly!

 

Thoughts: how do you guys think this would fit on a Aline B chest? As it's laced on the sides, I'm thinking it should work, but I wanted some other opinions...

Well... I think you could put it on the minifee, but the sleeves might be too long, and it's going to be far more oversized than it is on that doll. I think the minifee B bust is a good inch smaller than that doll's, and about an inch or so smaller. As for the lacing on the sides, I don't think it would be of any help. It looks like the sides are laced up enough that it's just not tight enough to pull against the fabric, rather than being loosely tied up.

Considering the price I wouldn't chance it personally, but I would see if maybe someone who does make hoodies for minifees would be willing to adapt the pattern as a oversized dress with laced up sides.

 

@Epona , I think that blank sculpt is gorgeous!

 

@Epona my Sylvia is actually a boy! So I am totally on that androgynous train. I love the more mature minifee sculpts myself, and was thrilled that one was released where I could jump in on a split. I have him hybrided on the Myou version 2 body and hope to post him soon as I figure out how I want to faceup him.

 

@zzsleep @Epona I really like her and was able to get her to look like the promo photos.
I also took photos of her head alone for my splits and really like her sculpt blank.

@Kateryu Be aware that her outfit does not even fit the C chest, so it most likely will not fit the B bust either. It's really annoying how much of a gap there is. Sylvia needs some padding if she wants to fill out those corset bust.

I don't show how loose the bust is but I do have a box opening and dress up if you'd like to see more.

 

Silly question, when they say available until the 10th, is that including the 10th or as soon as it hits the 10th in Korean time they will be gone?

 

Thanks for the input! It's hard to gauge things for a doll you've never seen, unless you're buying things specifically marked for minifee.

 

It's really hard to say for sure, so I wouldn't push it past the 9th just to be safe. It's why I put my order in today, it was getting too close to that deadline for comfort.

 

imo, she has much chubbier cheeks than I realized from her promo photos. I got her blank a la carte, so I’m excited to see how she looks with one of my faceups.

Well I got the order in just in case! Does anyone know of any places that sell clothes that fit the full bust? There was a nice lingerie maker but it looks like they don't sell anymore.

 

Have you seen the conditions for receiving the gifts of the event? A random box is something new.

Oh wow! That's interesting. When does this event start? I don't think it has yet?
I might have to ask DDE if I can get the calendar, lol. I just submitted an order for Klaus last night, since I didn't want to worry about missing the cut off and forgetting since I'm working on finals for my classes!

 

The news is already available on the Fairyland site, but it is still closed from views. I think the event will open in the next few days.

 

I'm placing an order through DDE today for 3 MNF, and I'm getting mixed messages about Event qualification. When I asked DDE, they said, and I quote:

"If past orders qualify for event items than we are happy to order one for you. Usually, past orders do not qualify though. We will have to wait and read the rules."

But a couple of people I have spoken to said that DDE just doesn't like going through the hassle of ordering Event Items for recently placed orders. I have sent FL an email to inquire further.

If possible, I'd really like to get in on the Event and get the MNF head, since I'm spending a good deal of money.

 

Oops I caved and got a Kyle, plus bodies for a couple floating heads. Dangit fairyland I was trying to downsize, now I'll have three new minifees why must you be like this.

Does anyone have a Tika and mind telling me what eye and wig size he actually wears? Some pictures his head looks big and others it looks comparable with Mirka.

 

I find it amusing FL is offering the 2021 calendar for this winter event, but orders are shipping around the 5 month mark, so if you order and get the calendar, you won't see it till May or so.

Can someone share a link or something to the new event heads? I no longer have a Facebook and cannot view Kim SunHwa's page.

 

I just want the pretty pictures, LOL. If I don't get it I won't be too heartbroken, but I don't see myself using it as an actual calendar. XD Here are the event heads:

It sounds like there is a "mystery" event head in the random boxes and there will only be 70 of them as well. Not entirely sure how I feel about that ^^; I like knowing what I am getting.

 

Although Dina's head is funny, I like Medusa better. This is a real lottery for a random box.

 

I went ahead and placed my order today. A DES, Ryeon, and Klaus. I couldn't resist the older girls, and Klaus just... speaks to me! He could be sweet, or sad, or serious. Or a girl, even! He'll actually be coming on a girl body that I split off to someone else. Only the DES will get to stay a full doll.

 

So, in summary, I ended up putting four on layaway at DDE - an Erda (boy), a Mir/Mika (boy), a Mio (girl), and a Tika (boy). To be fair, I am trying to shell the five members of my musical idol based superhero/sentai team, so that takes care of almost all of them! Just one girl left, and I'm thinking of choosing a non-retiring sculpt for her, so no rush.

Dina's event head is so pouty! I'd love to see what that looks like without makeup and the hand in front of the chin. Hope they release more previews!

 

Ahh, it looks like they've since updated the hidden winter event page and now there is a Minifee Nanuri head option separate from the random box option for the $750 tier. Interestingly it looks like they've changed the details about the random box and it no longer mentions the possibility of a random Minifee head, but rather says "includes a wig, a pair of resin shoes and a pair of eyes". I like this setup much better honestly. Easier to set expectations this way, though the possibility of getting a completely random Minifee head sounded quite fun too.

I'm pretty sure, but you can get a full-package event gift alongside the current seasonal event gift, right? I don't think Dina's alternate head will be the Minifee Nanuri head as it and Angela's alternate heads were referred to as "full-package event heads" from the teaser photos on Kim SunHwa's facebook (and also a F65 Nanuri head not being an option). I really don't like Dina's alternate head, so i'm hoping i'll like the Nanuri event head! I should also qualify for it with Dina's full-option package cost~

 

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a rough estimate of Dina's full-set? Looking at past Fairyline ones, the prices seem to vary quite a lot and I couldn't really get an idea for myself.

 

@LiselT I feel as though the best comparison for estimating her price would be Altis' release, seeing as Dina has similar faun legs and horns as he does. So about $700 for full-package and about $900 for full-option package.

Thank you @dxgirly I'm also wondering, I know they were not going to give out points anymore, but are they also not letting you spend your points? I was going to get heeled feet for my doll, and it would be cheaper than going through DDE if I could use my points ???

They said in their notice that we should be able to use our points for the next few years, but there is no place to put those points, so I can't use them...??? I guess I'll have to write to them or something :P

 

I rather like the Dina pouty face. Not enough to buy a fullset though. I’m running out of room! And dolly funds.

In the previous event post, they said that previous orders could participate in this event, but now they are changing their tune. I emailed them about it and they confirmed it was a copy and paste error. Did they not read the post before they hit send?

 

Wait, so if you order anything on Dec 10th, you don't qualify for the event, or you have to order their event dolls in order to qualify for their event items?

My partner, @gelfling21 finally caved last night and ordered an El (to go with his incoming SP El head) through DDE. I'd love to be able to tell him that he can get a FL t-shirt along with his new MNF!

Anyone know where the pics that will be on the t-shirts are posted?

I'm so upset that I ordered yesterday instead of waiting 1 more day. I love the Nanuri head and I'd really love to get her.
I emailed DDE and asked if there was any way my order hadn't been processed yet and they could get the Event head for me. But I'm not hopeful that they'll be accommodating.

 

I'm sad about this too. The discontinuing heads are still up as well so I could have waited to order.

 

I was able to use mine at checkout, after selecting my shipping option.

 

I emailed them too since I ordered Tuesday and they told me that "past orders do not qualify for the event items"

 

As far as I know, you can get the full-set event head along with the $ amount event head. Last January I ordered both Erda and Carol full gift option sets, and got both of their vampire heads along with the Minifee winter event head.

I placed a large order yesterday for 4 minifees, and saw the event pictures this morning on their IG. None of the event items speak to me, so I am fine ordering just before the event.

 

My partner, (via emails back and forth), was able to not only fix a problem with his order, but was able to get the event t-shirt option!

I'm always teasing him that "you don't wear enough t-shirts to leave the house or even to relax in!"

After a bit more persistence in emailing them, they allowed me to place a second, smaller order, and add the event item to it. I had emphasized in my email that I had ordered less than 24 hours before the event started, and asked if there was any way my order could be changed or added to in any way, considering I JUST made it.

I'm very grateful they allowed me to do that! The Nanuri is so adorable!

 

Same story here. I went back and forth a little and was able to do the same. Super excited they were willing to let me do another small order to get it! So now I have a Miyu and a Rix coming along with the cute event! Really excited.



And since I am here I hope no one minds me sharing a picture I took yesterday of Dinah, my Minifee Summer 17 girl. I really love fairyland event heads so much!

 

I wanted to add the number 9 hands anyway so I've asked them too.

Oh my gosh, she's adorable!!

In my opinion, the Event heads just have so much more CHARACTER! I feel like their regular releases are more "safe". They're pretty, but almost generic in their prettiness. There's less risk that the personality in their sculpts will make them poor sellers.

I'm excited to get Sylvia soon, and the Summer Event head! He's got a little bit more of a somber vibe that I'm digging! At least, I THINK he reads as a boy to me. I'll obviously try him on Sylvia's body just for funsies, see how I fee about it. But I already have a DF-A boy body on order for him that I hope he'll look good on.

It reminds me a bit of El, but more mature. A brother, or a cousin sculpt, if you will. I tend to think of sculpts in "families" Maya is a Sirrca sister. Sylvia is a Mirwen and Rendia sibling. The new Nanuri is a Carol and Eva sibling. Does anyone else see them like that?


I have started referring to the Full Package expression heads as "Grumpy Dina" and "H0rny Angela". AKA the two biggest Moods of 2020

 

Thanks for sharing, I didn't realize they had pics up yet! I'm kinda contemplating getting Dina to be the fifth member of my band, she might fit the character, and I'd love a long sleeve shirt! And agreed, it's already too cold in Connecticut, I've had to wear my winter coat for the past week walking to work!

I still want to see "Grumpy Dina" blank. XP
