Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 62

Oct 28, 2017

    1. I honestly can't tell if you HAVE to order through DDE if you live in North America or not. It does say they're a distributor so maybe not?

This line makes me think not.
If you wish to receive your item as soon as possible, we encourage you to place your order through our Distributor shop(s).

So I think they're suggesting you go through the distributors but it doesn't outright say you have to. Sounds like DDE with handle customer stuff etc. Not sure how that will work. I sure hope we can order through FL still, DDE always means fees and I just want some feed and hands for the minifees and wigs for now.

Bummed that Realfees aren't on the list either, I was hoping they'red be some left of the winter sets.

    2. But they also say that they want to focus mainly on production....
Which sounds like they really would prefer that everyone order through DDE as the first point of call, which is really quite annoying.

      • x 1
    3. Yeah, no idea which it is right now. >.< Guess we'll find out after the 15th. Fingers crossed because I prefer the look and style of FL site and the no custom fees is a bonus. Nothing against DDE though, it's not their fault about Canada getting fees.

    4. I do hope there will still be the option to order directly from fairyland and they are only “suggesting” that we order through DDE as their official distributor. And you’re right @elfinder, it’s not DDE’s fault that shipping between the US and Canada (and other countries) has become so ridiculous.
I am not thrilled with the idea of paying more and waiting longer though *siiiiiigh*

Despite all this complaining I will almost certainly be ordering when they reopen lol and I very much hope tan will be available!

    5. I mainly just want some high heeled feet and hands in tan, so I hope they have them too, and then some in ns and some wigs.

Now we wait till the 15th to see what's going on I guess.

    6. The DDE site is awful! It’s just so old fashioned, they really need to hire a website designer. But honestly I find most BJD sites to be oddly stuck in the early 2000s in terms of web design. Even FL is a little obtuse, imo.

      • x 2
    7. I agree, the DDE website is appalling. I’m in the UK so I’m assuming that I can order from Fairyland as per usual but that I will have order a few days after the items are released on DDE.

    8. @Anythya I don't think this affects you at all if you're in Australia. It sounds like they're talking about North America only, as far as ordering through DDE, so that just means Mexico on up through Canada, not everywhere else.

The first half of the announcement definitely makes it sound like you can only order through DDE, but that bit about 'soon as possible' makes it sound like you can still order directly from FL as well? Maybe it'll still be possible but longer wait times now that they're trying to focus more on the production and design aspects so they have fewer people dedicated to handling the shipping side of things?

One thing I do like about the announcement is: "In addition, most of our new release items will be distributed from our Distributor shops beforehand they go on sale at CP/FairyLand website."

It seems like for their events they'll be pre-making a bunch and delivering to DDE before events so they can ship out directly for at least some buyers? That'd be nice.

    9. I guess we shall have to see.
I had hoped they would implement their own layaway system, but clearly not happening lol.
I do need layaway this time though, so i will be ordering through DDE this time and just cry at postage costs after lol.

Unrelated to the fairyland opening stuff...

Has anyone ever used Resinsoul 1/4 jointed hands on their minifee???

I'm considering ordering some for the minifee i plan to order and was wondering if they fit and look ok.
Any pictures would be much appreciated.
Also if anyone has had sucess with any other brand, i would love to see.
      :)

    10. Mm...its their new quality sheet that is worrying me :( They are calling marbling, pitting marks, spots, smears, rough patches etc "inevitable" and you have to accept the terms before ordering...So basicly if your doll comes with marbling, you can't get a refund because you accepted the terms?? Where is the quality control on that? I understand seam lines on tan dolls, and they don't bother me, but the other things do... These dolls are not cheap and I do not want to spend $500 as a gamble to see if I get a good doll or not :(

      • x 7
    11. Honestly, I'm VERY worried that a company that is considered very high end would consider that the quality they've offered recently and they say is acceptable in their new poster??
Why would I pay 500$ for a doll with potentially worse quality than my 200$ BJDs which don't even have seam lines?
Marbling, pitting, snowflaking... All of this is completely normal for Fairyland. HOW??

      • x 4
    12. Those guidelines are nothing new, though? Like, if you've ever had that kind of stuff on your doll and tried to claim damage they never replaced it and said it was normal. They're just doing this now, I assume, to nip 'complaints' in the bud. I know people like to say the quality is crap these days but I've never had any issues. I currently own 10 minifees and 2 floating heads, and have owned several others in the past, and they're all great? Visible seamlines are always standard, and the fact that people freak out if there's a little texture in the resin has always confused me.
If anything, the fact that they're shaking up how they do things to allow them more time to focus on production and development means they'll be better able to focus on quality? I think people need to just take a breath and wait to see how things go before getting worked up.

    13. First of all, congrats that you never had any problems with your dolls.

My post is not a direct response to you but rather to express some opinions. I hope you don’t take this personally :)

Marbling in darker resin is somewhat unavoidable. Also one can argue that sanding seam lines in a tan doll will lighten up the color.

However, I don’t believe seamlines should be considered “standard”, especially in lighter colors. That is just sad to hear. They can be sanded off with just a little bit extra effort. With the price point that they set, Fairyland should take responsibility to AT LEAST sand off the seamlines in their ws/ns dolls.

Luxury brands/artifacts are expensive because they discard the bad pieces. Therefore the ones that survived the screening are sold at a higher price. I don’t think FL dolls are luxuries but again, since they priced themselves at the top, they should deliver top qualities.

And for me, this isn’t even about quality. What bothers me the most is that they are “nipping 'complaints' in the bud.” This is like solving complaints by duct-taping people mouth. Is this a good way to do business? Whether they improve with their R&D in the future or not, we are not able to de-sensor ourselves regarding their QC. They now have the full right over this.

      • x 14
    14. I sent an email to DDE to see if maybe they can answer whether or not it's a "have to" order though or a "should" order through.

      • x 1
    15. Everything else aside, I’m personally really glad that FL doesn’t sand their seams. The sanded area is inevitably a different texture from the rest of the resin and it yellows at a different rate in my experience, no matter what the resin color. It’s why I don’t sand dolls at all unless absolutely necessary. If they wanted to add an extra sanding service for a fee that’d be nice for people that like it, but I’d be super annoyed if they did it by default >_<

      • x 4
    16. Thank you!! I am eager to hear their response.

    17. My problem is that they’re telling us things that can be perfected and improved upon (because other companies look for ways to improve or at least take responsibility for busted jobs without making you feel like you’re asking too much or downright ignoring you as I’ve experienced) are now standard for a brand that sells at least one of their doll lines at a much higher price for that size than standard. I mean, I know that a lot of things can happen with casting — issues and imperfections can arise even under the very best conditions, but a company offering a product is responsible for owning up to that and pricing to compensate losses. Sanding, for the price, should either be an option or a little extra charge for those of us who would like to get our $500+ Minifees without seams that can cut a steak. I shouldn’t EXPECT marbling or bubbles or scuffs from a brand I consider premium among BJDs. And who price their products as premium.

But, to me, more than this little graph of fail, that I think was personally implemented so that DDE doesn’t have to deal with constant support claims about subpar dolls and spend their entire life trying to clean up messes — the problematic with Fairyland is their ego and the poor handling of CS team. The things they told me, the things people have been told (and screenshotted) and how I’ve been treated when I’ve had problems is completely unacceptable. It’s depressing that a lot of us who voice our discontent or speak up about our issues are shut down by fans who would stand by them even if they got a green doll delivered as new by them.

If we do not voice our issues things like this will continue to happen. Companies will make stuff they can improve upon a standard quality. And egos will grow out of proportion and now growth will ever happen because they know that no matter what they do or put out it’s going to sell, so why should they put more effort or do better? Nobody dares complain and those who do are ignored by them or shut down and intimidated by some in the FL community who find it’s blasphemy to say one bad thing about them.

For those who still plan to buy I hope your dolls come out beautiful and perfect from here on out. You shouldn’t feel shamed for continuing your support. But please don’t normalize defects and poor CS and tell us who have experienced we are crazy or unlucky or “that’s just how BJDs work” because it isn’t true.

    18. Has anyone done a review on the A-line body vs. the New Release body? I am wondering what personal opinion is. Are there any benefits to the NR body (aside from compatibility with fantasy parts) or drawbacks?

      TX!

    19. There not much difference in terms of posing. One thing I know for sure is that it can no longer wear moe body breast parts.

    20. I got a reply from DDE.

"Hello! I'm trying to get some information about the notice that fairyland posted. Am I correct in understanding that if we live in North America (Canada, USA, Mexico) that we HAVE to place our fairyland orders through DDE? Or us fairyland just saying that if we want dolls faster we SHOULD order through DDE? Thank you for taking the time to answer.
      Zavrinas"

      "Hi Zavrinas,
If you are in North America you need to order through us. That is how it is being explained to us at this time. I am sorry if that is disappointing to you. If there is a reason you do not wish to go through us let us know and we can try to work through it.
      Thank you!
      Shannon"

Edit to add that I did respond saying I wasn't disappointed, just confused. Lol.

    21. Assuming that I would buy from them again upon their quality improvement, this whole "Denver Doll only" thing is the last nail on the coffin for me. I will not go through a distributor to get the dolls I want. The abhorrent website design of DDE is just part of the reason — the main one being that I do not like placing my orders in "groups" and having to wait for "mass shipments" (as well as other reasons I'll not get into here) so to be forced to go through them for purchase is a slap to my face.

    22. I'm new to the hobby but is Fairyland known for often having these problems compared to other companies? Some people on Instagram were saying that other companies don't have the same issues and are cheaper. But one thing I love about FL minifees are the elbow joints and the shape of the bodies (I just think they look much nicer than other ones I've seen). I wonder if other companies have similar proportions and elbows but don't have potential marbling/pitting, etc.?

    23. Thanks so much for letting us know! I kind of figured that would be the answer. I am disappointed, but its not DDE’s fault - I will just need to factor in a significantly increased cost when I am ordering. Does DDE do free shipping over a certain amount like Fairyland did?

    24. Ugh so if my doll arrives jacked to the heck up with all kinds of surface imperfections I am supposed to be okay with it?? After I pluck down $400-500 bucks?? Oh heck to the naw I will gladly spend my hard earned money someplace else if that is the new standard Fairyland is going in.

    25. fairyland has used this type of wording in the past when doing releases in more recent years where DDE gets to put the order up online before it goes live on fairyland’s site. it doesn’t mean that they will be creating product ahead of time and shipping it to DDE. neither business can predict how many dolls will be ordered of any color (unless they only offer the doll in a single color).

    26. I can see the logic in the quality control guidelines. It just lists things that may happen and has always been their viewpoint. Stating it just ensures they are not spending time fielding return requests.

I appreciate that these issues are a personal standard that we are not all going to agree on. They’ve never bothered me. I don’t sit and look at the skin to see if there are flaws that won’t be noticeable once the doll is dressed anyway. That being said, other than the odd seam mark my 15 plus dolls are all ok. So I don’t think it’s a norm and people shouldn’t be too put off on the quality issue.
As far as I’m aware I don’t think they have ever replaced an item due to snowflake marks. So I don’t see it as a policy change, just a different way of reiterating what they’ve always stated.

Anyway, moving on to more exciting things - who has a woosoo or eliyah pic to share. I don’t think those moulds get much photo coverage! I really need to unpack my dolls. They are all still in boxes from the move.

    27. I'm done being nice. I don't care that your 50 million Minifees are fine. The one that I paid $602 dollars was QA fail of epic proportions. That is what matters to me. There is nothing normal about what Fairyland is throwing out here. It's ludicrous. I didn't pay for a doll that has seamlines that can cut various hard fancy cheeses. That's not what I paid for. I paid for a quality product that people here said I would receive and that's not what I have. Now Fairyland is telling you that if you receive a mess, you paid for it and don't complain. If people are OK with that, fine. All I have are tan dolls save for two currently and two more on the way. None of my dolls came in the same condition. Some were cheaper and some more expensive and this doll is the only mess of the bunch. Couple that with their terrible engineering and I know I just wasted money on nothing special. At least Charm Doll let me know there was a problem with them recasting my broken doll hand and didn't send me junk to deal with. They were honest.

DDE is now just FL CS/PR branch and I don't think I would have signed up for that. It wasn't like I was going to buy a horde of Minifees because if I'm honest with myself, I actually can't stand Minifees. It's smaller than any other MSD and hard to find clothes for that isn't overpriced Esty tosh. However, if I wanted to get another, I don't want to do it through DDE. I want to be able to jack Fairyland up in my own words.

      • x 8
    28. @fairylin - if you "can't stand" minifees, this probably isn't the thread for you. I'm not gonna get mad because other people have a different opinion than me on this switch up the company is doing, but if that's the way you feel, maybe take it somewhere else. There's discussion and then there's trash talking the dolls those of us that post here are clearly fans of, whatever problems we may have with the actual company that makes them.

      • x 8
    29. So because I said what I feel, that invalidates everything else. This is why I cannot stand posting here. If you aren't singing people's praises, we don't want to hear about it. I'm going to express my opinion about what I brought. You don't like it, that's not my problem.

With that said, I'm out. I know what I'm dealing with on DOA and I don't need to be told I think wrong by you or anyone else.

    30. So what are you guys hoping for when Fairyland reopens? I'm hoping for a new MiniFee guy - not that I can really afford it at the moment though.

    31. Honestly I'm dying for a minifee boy fantasy doll??? Like, give me a merman/centaur/whatever already XD Don't get me wrong, I love all the ladies, but damn, hook a girl up.

      • x 2
    32. I'd be more than happy to see any kind of new MiniFee girl, I want another cute MiniFee to dress up in Fairy Kei/Decora outfits :XD: I'm low key hoping for more news on a Feeple60 boy though (because I want the body )

    33. I'd love to see another more mature sculpt, like the recent sircca. Another elf sculpt that isn't limited would be amazing too

    34. I am hopping on board the fantasy minifee/fairyline boy train. I think it is long overdue! I would especially love a satyr/hoofed boy but honestly any type of fantasy creature would be great. My wallet would be in so much trouble!

    36. Part of "discussion" however is being able to freely state issues had with the dolls/company. I didn't read anywhere on this thread that it was "Fairyland Minifee Praise-Only Thread." If a person has an issue, they should be free to state it here, because it might help a newcomer who is browsing this thread for feedback on quality or user experiences to read about the negatives too.

So, it's cool that you love Fairyland (as do others and I myself still love the dolls themselves) but to invalidate someone's negative experience and tell them to take it somewhere else is making for a biased thread that can lead to misinformation. Thanks to this kind of mentality, where a discussion thread of a brand can apparently, according to your logic be "praise-only" I too was led to believe in this "perfection" when I was new and researching Fairyland. Perhaps if honest, unbiased reviews and people had not been pushed away like you did this customer, I would have had a better idea of all the things I could possibly expect from Fairyland and formed a better decision at the time of purchase. You should be able to state your experiences and discontent, without being made to feel like a monster for not "flailing." Perhaps, if you want a praise-only thread, you can start one where it's specifically stated that negative feedback/criticism isn't allowed.

    37. She’s gorgeous! I just love Eliyah’s doe like eyes. Thank you for sharing.

@fairylin I do not want this debate to continue on but as you referenced my post by your comment on 50 million dolls, I just want to clarify that I was not diminishing your concerns about your doll. I was merely trying to reassure those who are newer to Fairyland that I have had a lot of dolls with no issues and that not all of their dolls have these flaws.

    38. Like I said in my post, I have no problem with people that disagree with me on this subject, as plenty of people here have. As you say, this is a discussion thread and it’s okay to voice negative opinions, but they didn’t have to be rude about it either, which they were. They’re allowed to voice their bad experience, but I dont see how that means they get to be angry at other people posting their good experiences in return. I know my intent in my post before that was to try and reassure people that, at least in my experience, FL has a good track record on quality, so this ‘change’ probably wasn’t something to worry about, especially since it’s been their policy since day one.
They pretty obviously weren’t looking to discuss, that was just a rant about how they couldn’t stand minifees, but if I overstepped, then I apologize.

    40. Ah, I do love Eliyahs! I wish they would do more elves with the long ears like she has. I know there’s been one or two others but I need moooore lol XD

      • x 2
    41. Oh I agree! I love the elves!

    42. I can’t decide between Mio and Celine D: I love Mio’s big eyes but they’re so far apart. And Celine’s teeth are cute sometimes but I don’t know if I super like them. ><

    43. I've seen some truly horrific newer fairyland dolls lately, which definitely scare me into thinking their standards have dropped dramatically.
It definitely has me worried about ordering a minifee when they reopen, especially considering us Aussies have to pay a far amount more for them due to exchange rates.

Thing is, my older feeples, littlefees, pukifees, and tinies that i had owned were fine apart from seems and the weird sanding on my tan feeples shoulder, and i sm fine with that (though the sanding was a bit annoying) seams i am fine with.

I just dont want to pay close to $600 for a blank minifee (plus $100 postage as i need to use DDE's layaway this time) and have her arrive with the big pits and snowflaking i have seen recently.
It definitely scares me, that said, i had my heart set on a minifee so i guess i will most likely take the gamble because i really need a NS Mio, and Tan Ante is my grail.

I just wish fairyland would work at improving their standards like other companies as it just feels awkward to call them "the best" (as i often do) when so many companies are now surpassing them in resin quality.
      :frownyblush:

      • x 3
    44. I only have 1 Minifee and that is my tan skin Lucywen, and her seam lines are not that bad, but the other stuff I have seen that is to be accepted and consider normal that DDE has on their website from Fairyland is what has me shaking my head.

    45. Exactly!!!
See seam lines really don't bother me at all, i don't mind them personally, if they're sharp them i would likely sand them myself, but overall i am fine with them.

      • x 1
    46. Both are good choices. I just received Mio. I was apprehensive because of how far apart her eyes are too but if you commission work from a good artist they can minimize those flaws you don’t like - Celine’s teeth less prominent or eyes closer together. I am about to send my Mio off and am planning to ask if she can make them look closer together. Crossing my fingers it works.

    47. Aww poor Mio lol, at first i wasn't sure i liked her but the more i see her the more she charms me, plus she has a cute nose from pics i have seen.:D

    48. Fairyland has had these quality control issues for a long time now. People have been complaining about their quality since I’ve been buying them which has been a few years now, since 2014 I want to say? I’m honestly really surprised that some people in this thread say they haven’t been warned because it seems like everywhere I go people are always complaining about FL’s quality, including in these threads on DOA.

If the negatives outweigh the positives for you definitely don’t order, but for me I really love Fairyland’s engineering and for that reason I think they’re still worth it.

As far as future releases go I am hoping for more elves and fantasy colors!

      • x 2
    49. Yeesh, the last few pages of this thread were a wild ride, lol. I don't think anyone here thinks this needs to be a thread filled with *only* positive comments about the company, but it is a thread where people share photos of their minifees and talk about dolls that they own and care about, so I think it's a fair assumption that a lot of the commentary here would be on the positive side. There's a personal bias. If my dolls have engineering problems, I might mention it, but I love all my girls anyway. They're my characters.

It's not the thread members' responsibility to do research on quality control for prospective buyers who don't know the brand's history. (That's not an excuse for FL's weird quality problems, either, I'm just saying. Google this stuff and look around in more places than one discussion thread if you haven't bought from a company before, it could save you a lot of money and frustration.) FL has had apparent QC issues for a number of years, but overall it kinda seems like it's a luck of the draw scenario. Personally, I've been collecting Fairyland dolls since 2012 and have 17 minifees at present, and the biggest grievance I have is that like 4 of them came to me very poorly strung, which was frustrating and took time to fix. I know that my experiences there aren't universal, however, and am sorry to anyone who received dolls with larger issues than that.
Also, food for thought, if you know you "can't stand" a certain doll, why even bother entering the thread?

As for a new release, I would love a minifee version of the Luna sculpt! She's so sweet and pretty as a pukifee and littlefee, I think she would look lovely.

    51. I understand people are upset or nervous over these quality announcements.

However... I ordered my first minifee in 2010. She had all of these problems. Many who ordered during the time faced similar issues. I remember seeing a sleeping head FULL and I mean FULL of pock marks. Thankfully FL took that one back, as it was incredibly bad. They had the same standards at this time, they just didn't have a diagram. Nothing - NOTHING has changed. There is just a diagram posted now.

They are also not the only ones with this type of F.A.Q. Switch also has similar standards listed on their website. I can't say these are good standards to have, and certainly there are many companies who have much higher standards, but it is nothing new for Fairyland.

Someone said they should sand their seams down for their price. I suggest you look at even higher priced dolls, such as Soom. They don't sand down their seam lines either - or they will be for an extra amount of $$. I don't think this should be included. It would be a lot of work for them and frankly, if they are in a hurry I'd prefer they don't. I'd rather do it myself if they were bothersome instead of risk scratchy sand marks if they are too busy.

I will add my experience with FL too.
I ordered my first minifee in the 2010-2011 timeframe. She had all of these issues. She could hardly stand up after I had made her sit because her leg joints would catch. She had fine scratches covering her legs. She had thin resin that turned white from strain near the knees. She had seams. It was bad, but overall I loved that doll. I understand people are frustrated, and everyone should be able to voice their concerns and anger. That being said - this is a platform with people who love Fairyland, and they should be allowed to do that as well.

Things will get better. Let's just try to be kind to one another in the meantime. We can support each other through all the crappiness... Fairyland has already said in their newest announcement they will wait to implement this until 2019, so maybe we will see some positive changes in the future.

Things are going to get a lot better soon! >_<

    52. I ordered a Mio for her fullset shoes, and decided to keep her after seeing her in person. :)

    53. Do you think, with DDE being the required place to order Fairyland, that we could convince them to upgrade their website? I order through other places when they carry the same/similar items to DDE just because their site is so bad.

    54. What I would like to see DDE do, and might be required by FL come to think about it, is that they keep track of orders made under an account and make that available to the customer. As it stands, there's no way to check past orders or check the status of a layaway or anything like that. That is one of the things I will miss about MoC closing.....

    55. Yes! I would love that. Even websites that sell artists dolls like MDR have that. I know DDE doesn’t wanna change their website because they like it and whatnot, but if they’re gonna be a distributor, they need to upgrade.

    56. Thanks for mentioning that, since I wasn't aware they'd postponed it - I've just finished reading through the post on their image blog.
(p.s. your girl looks gorgeous - which sculpt is she?)

I've been on the fence about buying a minifee for a year or two, but the recent hiatus has made me realise that I'd be disappointed if FL decided to stop making dolls and I hadn't bought one. And since they're holding off on implementing the QC agreement until the end of the year I think now would probably be a good time to get a doll before they make it official. The DDE changes don't affect me since I'm in the UK.

I've never encountered an FL doll in person so I don't know that to expect, and I've heard A LOT of negative things about the quality of their dolls and resin, especially the tan colour - it does make me nervous about buying from them.
I'm not too bothered by seam lines as I've had various dolls with different seam line qualities, plus I'd rather deal with them myself than have sanding marks everywhere (I once had a doll with VERY obvious gatemark sanding and I know I wouldn't want the same for the seams.) But the talk of things like pock-marks has me a bit worried

    57. Welcome to the hobby^^. Maybe you could check Souldoll out, they have beautiful dolls and they look more mature than other companies, specially the body shape is very beautiful in my opinion^^

      I have a Woosoo that I love!, I can share a photo for you^^

By the way, there will be no event this time in Fairyland, so this means, no tan option will be available....

    58. Remember a few years ago when the large bust A-line girls had a problem with their bust part not catching on the torso part, so they had trouble doing the one pose where they lay on their stomachs and prop their bust part up? I remember that was a big posing issue they were quick to fix, and my one girl who still has that I just think of it as a quirk now. If I need her to hold that pose, I just stuff a bit of cotton ball in the gap to help her.

I can understand why the new diagram is upsetting to some, but I'm not going to be angry if my otherwise perfect doll comes with a small defect. My oldest minifee is from 2008 and he's gotten a few cracks and yellowed like a banana, but the feeling I have for him is more important than the way he looks. When he got his first crack, I was very upset and contacted fairyland to see if they could make me a replacement part. I had bought him second hand, but they were still very willing to help me. In the end I decided that the crack was not a big deal for me, and I stabilized it with some epoxy on the inside to keep it from getting bigger.

This hobby has evolved so much since I joined, and there's so many ways to fix broken pieces, blush uneven areas, sand away pockmarks, etc, it really is amazing. Not to suggest that everyone who receives a doll with poor quality should spend their time and money fixing it up of course, but I have rarely seen a doll on here that is beyond saving. :)

Overall, I love Fairyland dolls for both their flaws and the things that have made me committed to the company. They're not perfect, but perfect for me. From my own personal experience, Fairyland has always been very kind and really are interested in what their customers have to say. Maybe this will encourage more QC?

    59. Your Mios are so pretty :D
I'm putting Mio on layaway (hopefully today), i finally decided on NS for her, but have been tossing up for ages between BW and NS, she just looks gorgeous in every colour lol.:D

    60. I've been enamored with 'other' dolls so much lately I forgot how much I love MNFs. So glad I decided to get this new head - she is really inspiring me.
I have to say, I've had good luck with buying from FL and DDE in the past and I know FL has always had that policy but stating it openly makes me feel (true or not) that they aren't even going to try to put out their best work. That said, I am still considering getting a newer body for my girl... As others have mentioned, seams don't bother me, slight imperfections will be covered by clothes and I get NS so I won't have some of the same concerns as those buying tan. Still it would have been nice to hear them say something more along the lines of 'though these imperfections are a normal part of the doll-making process, we will always try our hardest to make quality dolls'... ;)
