@xenagirl83 I was planning on getting a tan one too so I might just order a different one this time around and maybe I'll be lucky enough to order my tan one another time!

 

How did you hear about the tan skin? I hope that's not true...

 

I saw an amazing tan/white FL Momo on Flickr. Does anyone have anymore Momos to spam?? Please?

 

Can someone help me out with the new Cygene release? It keeps saying vampire head and vampire makeup. I don't see anything vampire about the pictures anywhere. I'm looking for little teeth in some of the pics and maybe I'm blind, but I don't see it. So what are they talking about?

I think she is stunning. She reminds me a lot of Liria and I missed out on her so I made need to find some funds and purchase this girl. Even if there is some sort of mysterious vampire thing I'm not understanding. Haha. What does everyone else think of Cygene?

And they are doing tan skin guys! Yay!

Edit-just realized I posted this in the wrong spot-thought she was a minifee, Cygene is not. I will got to the correct discussion spot. However-they are still doing tan!

 

As for the Winter Event - I was trully hoping for an event MNF head starting from 500 but it's 600, darn... Now I'm having second thoughts. Anyway, have they already showed the event sculpts...? I can't find any pics of them...

 

I also can't find the event sculpts anywhere, the link takes you to old pics. I also want to see the minifee release, why do they take so long?

 

I guess they like teasing us They're building up the suspence LOL

 

It makes a long time that I haven't post anything in this thread. It moves so fast !
I rarely take pictures of my 3 Minifees girls together, so I want to share with you the last one I made :

The 2 normal skin girls are A-line body, the tan one is M-line.

 

Fairyland says tan is available during this event. Just waiting to see what the event head looks like, but I'll probably have to pass on this event.

 

Yay! So happy ill get my tan Tika! I do want to wait to see the event head though, see if it's worth trying to get it. I do want a Ria too. Anyone got any Ria to spam?

 

I'm so glad they're doing the tan! Sorry to have made some of you nervous about it before, I was just passing on what I was told! Does anyone know how long fairyland waits to reveal the event head?

 

Usually the event head is released just before the event, sometimes within a day or two of the start of the event, I believe.

 

I always can't wait to see the event heads!

Here is my Liria (again!), trying to keep me from buying the feeple60 release. Thankfully I'm safe enough ....for now.... On FB Kim did say there would be a Fairyline release, right? Holding my wallet close....

Is it possible to insert photos via a phone? I find it really frustrating that you can't and I'm rarely on a computer.

 

I got my two boys arrive today and the tan Tika has strangely warped lower legs. Talking to others we think either the resin was a bad batch or not cured before stringing.

I wrote to FL so waiting to hear what they say. He is lovely and I hope they just send replacement parts as long as they match.

When this is sorted I will take some pics of him but not even attempting to dress him atm. This is what his poor legs look like and obviously he cannot stand.

 

That is really upsetting. I seriously don't understand if they even have a quality control department at all anymore. I hope this gets resolved quickly for you!

 

@Kavarr Seriously.... This is even worse than what happened to my Pukifee Vanilla in tan this Fall. I received her very quickly during the last event. It took them like two weeks from ordering to shipping. And the doll arrived with defective ankle - the same as yours - the resin must have been too fresh while they were stringing. I've also heard that with low temperatures, even stabile resin (but still fresh) can get a bit soft and loose shape and simetimes it's happening even during transportation. But - seriously - they surely must be aware of that and if they let their dolls be delivered like that... Well... As much as I love their sculpts, I hate their service.

Fortunately, my ankle was replaced by FL without any problems so lets hope your calfs will be too. Hugsies.

 

I know the boys have very curved calves, but wow. Those are definitely warped. Even the seamline is curved. I hope they replace them for you!

 

Yeah... After seeing the last photo I'm having second thoughts on placing my order right now...

 

Your poor baby! His legs look like jelly. Hopefully they'll replace them and you get the replacement parts soon!

 

My Fairyland dolls are all at a presentable level of complete, so I took a quick group picture; they really do just kind of... multiply, don't they? Six months ago I only had Sage ><

@Kavarr Oh my gosh! I have never seen legs look like that before! I have heard about the resin warping sometimes due to the weather, but that is extreme. I would be very curious as to what they respond with. Hopefully they can send you replacement parts that actually match the tan you have! That is so stressful, I'm sorry

 

Wow, your Lilon is perfect! I think I like him even better than the Momo fullest!

 

@EleanorLamb Thank you so much! I wish I could say I'd made any of it, but he's just borrowing pieces of one of my Luts dolls' sets. As pretty as the Momo fullset outfit is, when I opened it and saw it's another one of those tiny ribbon lace-up backs on the dress I just couldn't even make myself try it ><

@Kavarr I'm shocked your boy arrived like that! I hope you hear back from customer service soon : ( Man,.. I am definitely waiting 'till these issues become less common before considering a doll directly from the company... such a shame

 

That picture made it easier for me to resist ordering right now, too. I had a TS from another company that was so soft the bars for ankle hooks broke out and the resin dented easily. Wonder if crooked legs are another TS/weather issue? TS is so wonderful when it is right but things seem to go wrong more often.

 

Knowing that there are issues with TS you'd think they'd hold onto the dolls a bit longer to ensure everything is okay? Or not produce them at all until the resin is perfected... what a bummer...

Thank you all for the support! I will let you know what FL say. A lot of people on bjd addicts think it could be a bad batch of soft resin.
He was strung so tightly though that contributed for sure. I have removed his head and neck piece to release the tension so other parts don't get damaged. The s hook had cut down into the neck piece and it took two of us with forceps to lift it enough to turn to get his head off. His head cap also won't stay on so I think it may have changed the head shape as well so it will not clip into place. This is the poor mangled neck piece. The scratches on the side are from how hard I had to hold it with the forceps but you can see how the s hook pulled and cut down into the turning piece. I do hope they can match parts or replace the whole doll if they can't.

 

@Kavarr Oh my word!! His poor neck! I have never seen something like that before! I feel like he was definitely too soft when they sent him. I think the weather may have contributed, but I don't think it could have done all of that on its own. I think it was a mix of the resin being too soft, as well as the weather softening it further and warping it, and to top it all off too tight of stringing. I honestly think it would only be fair of them to replace him entirely. I don't think replacement parts are the answer because its hard to get a good match, and plus the rest of his body could warp later on as well. Its only right for them to replace him entirely I think.

 

Oh my goodness. I feel like you are in "I should get a whole new doll territory" That is just so unacceptable. I'm truly sorry that happened. But wow...that really is something! I would be a crying mess. I definitely would be seeing about getting a new doll. No joke. That is just all around not something that should have been sent to anyone. I sincerely hope you are able to remedy it. Have you heard anything back from them at all yet? Wishing you all the best!!

Is there any news yet on pics of the event gifts? I hate that fairyland never has any of that stuff ready to go when events go live. Do we have any idea when they should post pics or anything? I guess in a way it's a good thing because I know a flood of orders will increase when the gifts get posted and I can't place my order till next week. I have a feeling I'm going to miss out on ordering Cygne (crossing my fingers though that it will work out), but I'm still impatient to see what the gifts are. Also curious-what other dolls are they doing for this release? Fairyline and littlefee? Have they posted any early photos of those dolls anywhere? On fb or blog or anything?

 

You should get a new non-defective doll, period. You did not pay for a second rate damaged doll.

 

This new Feeple looks a lot like Liria to me. They did say she'd be back in different sizes and under different names.
Make-up aside I can't see any major differences.
Same larger top lip and overall lip shape. Same eye shape. Same nose shape.

 

Hello friends.
I was going transplant my white eyelashes from my Ria head to my Woosoo but sadly (omg don't even ask me how I managed to do this!) I lost one of the eyelashes! Does anyone know where I could get a pretty white lash like the ones in minifees lately?! Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. I have some white lashes but they aren't as full or pretty as the MNF ones!! Help please? TIA!

 

I think it's good that @Kavarr is sharing the reference pics with the community. Thank you for that. I wish you the best during the replacement process. I'd send you the whole new doll if I was FL. It's really gone too far.

Knowing that and having read that they are moving their office right now I'll pass this event. Too much risk, I guess. My girl Auri's gonna kill me but she'll have to wait a little longer for her beloved one.

 

I have not heard anything yet and expect with their move it could until next week at least. From what people are saying i'm starting to think a complete new doll would be the way to go. I am happy to send the other back to them as long as they cover postage as the defects are their fault. It is just so frustrating when something like this happens. Until I know what is going on I will sit back and enjoy looking at all the other beauties on here

 

Wow Kavarr, I hope you have an easy resolution to this issue! I agree with everyone, damage across the body like this should warrant a whole doll replacement.
I was just about to order a tan MNF Shushu, but after seeing this I don't think I will!! Maybe next event I'll get brave enough to order my Alba.

 

While we can only speculate how the damage happened to that poor boy, I hope Fairyland will take this as incentive to make certain their quality control gets back on track. I wasn't planning on getting in on this upcoming event, but it sounds like a number of people have been scared away now.

 

Oh boy, I'm really reticent to order a tan doll now. I'm getting impatient, but with them moving, and this latest example of quality I'm scared.
When is their next event after this? Does anyone know? My guess would be spring, like March or so? I kind of hope I hate the event head so it makes my decision to wait easier. If I love the event head I might still chance it. Sorry Thistle, you might be waiting for your lover a little longer.

 

Yes, the F60 Cygne is Liria. They just gave her a different name.

Darn.I like the event head. Unfortunately DDE doesn't have tan as an option for ala carte minifee a line boys!

 

I feel like that must be an error. Have you tried contacting them? Because the Fairyland website offers them in tan right now.

I hope one day they do the same for the Feeple60 ID.1 Head. She almost made me get into Feeples because I thought she was so pretty, but I knew that was not in the budget/storage space, so I just messaged them asking them to do it one day.

 

Oh I do like the new Minifee event head. But I was turned off by the trouble I've seen in the quality here. :/ I've been dreaming of Tanned Eliya with A-line body for ages. Need to think about this, the tax returns are burning a hole in my pocket.

 

Well, I have no interest in the event head so I'm safe.

Ouch, kavarr's boy is in bad shape.

But the fact this can happen during shipping does bring up a good question, what does happen to dolls that end up sitting in really hot or really cold places enroute to their destinations.

I've pulled baggage from the drop off on airplane trips that was quite icy from being in the storage section. But I imagine it could get very hot in some places that packages sit too.

 

The Minifee Liria was a limited sale. They said they may bring her back in a different size, and they did. I believe Fairyland posted the info on the video for her, and definitely stated it on their image blog with the Cygne pictures.

 

Omg you guys!! The new MNF/Fairyline looks like she's going to be a unicorn or alicorn!
