Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 59

Sep 4, 2016

    1. Happy Birthday even though I'm a day late. Your girl is adorable.

I feel your pain. It is horrible! I hate "Det Onde Vรฆsen" That's what I call customs.

MelancholyWings that's a cute girl. I love her outfit.

      Dustbunnie

    2. If you ordered directly from Fairyland, I believe they mark down the price on the package. Hopefully you don't get charged too much. Customs fees sound horrible. :'(

    3. I wanted to wish you a belated Happy Birthday! :smallcake May the coming year bring you health, love, and prosperity!

(Your girl is absolutely stunning, btw---love her hair!)

    4. I wish so too. Custom fees are awful here :(

    5. That's correct they do mark down the value. Only it doesn't help. Customs will release the parcel when you have a copy of your PayPal payment and will charge accordingly. Here in Germany it's 19% on top of the whole amount, this also includes shipping costs.....
There was a FL dealer in Germany some years ago ("sweet n honey"), but she disappeared, and I don't know what ever happened to "wind dolls" from France??

Here's an older picture of my Chloe mod Cacey to cheer me up:

    6. Thank you all for the kind birthday wishes. My day was fantastic :)

    7. In Australia we only get penalised by Customs if the worth of the package is over $1000 - so when I get packages from Fairyland, it's fine. Unfortunately DDE don't tend to mark down their prices on the package and I once had to cough up over $300 on customs duty once.

At this point in time there are plans to change our need to pay Customs duty to anything that is worth over $20. I don't look forward to the day.

    8. I wasn't going to get any more floaters .... epic FAIL!
      Introducing Nikoli. (Halloween '14) :goldstar

    9. Sadly the customs in Denmark are stridt, so they demand the Paypal receipts and order confirmation v__v"

The import fees are 25% + 12% and then with an extra fee for handling which is $25 :c

    10. Sie is really beautiful and I love how her Hair match the Outfit ~

      • x 1
    11. Thank you very much :)

    12. The problem is Danish customs are just too clever - and they know the value of BJDs. SIGH!

BTW what happened to Think Pink? I also believe that once there was a dealer in GB. Not that it would help any more now that they have left EU.

Kacha I think your failure is forgivable. Besides we all fail like thet ever so often. LOL

J&C entangled Cacey is so beautiful - even for a Chloe. (They are always beautiful) I hope you are in a better mood by now but just in case you still need some cheering up here's 3 of my girls. From left to right: Tia, (Siean Elf) Peta-Lynn (Sarang) and India. (Rheia - tan)

    13. Think Pink in the Netherlands stopped dealing for Faiyland when they had that huge quality drop a few years back. they had too many unsatisfied customers at the time and decided it wasn't worth it anymore.

In other news, your dolls are beautifull!!

    14. Dustbunnie, your girl's are so pretty I want to hug them all, lol!!

    15. Thank you Roseleaf! :)

Thank KimC. You want to hug those tree or all my MiniFee girls? All 11 of them? LOL

Sorry the picture isn't better. It's hard for me to place them because I'm in a wheelchair.

    16. @Dustbunnie we haven't left the EU just yet! You have a lovely collection of dolls. I need to take a group shot of my girls but I'd have to do it in two photos as I don't have enough bodies for them all!

    17. Thanks, hey, yes, I still need cheering up! But compared to Denmark's customs I believe it's not too bad over here :)
I love your group picture, but I count 12, not eleven? Where's the odd one out? I can't tell.

    18. Can anyone help me out with the circumference of a 2016 minifee nanuri head? Can't find the info anywhere and someone wants to know if my wigs would fit!

    19. In Belgium, we luckily don't need to provide customs with a Paypal receipt but they definitely know that BJDs aren't worth 50 USD. Here, we pay 21% tax plus whatever other fee they like to add. I just got hit with a custom fee of 145 EUR for the Minifee Shushu I bought on the secondary market >__<

I seriously hope that Fairyland gets a European dealer again real soon.

    20. I just caught up with the thread. I wonder what this next event will entail. I've got a motley selection of things I'd like to order, one of which is extra chicline hands but I don't foresee that happening.
In anycase I come bearing sleeping Karsh spam.
Finally names miss sleepyhead, so here's Ilya.

    21. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving (who celebrate) I need to get back into my MNFs and make some clothing but I'm glad I decided to come back here so I can see everyone else's dolls <3

    22. Nanuri16 is 17.5cm circumference, I just measured her head. I also have one of your wigs that I brought awhile ago that fits her. Hope this helps, I also want to get more wigs from you soon.

    23. We're going to miss you guys. Thanks because you think my girls are lovely. :)

:doh You're right of course. The only thing I can say in my defence is that the white skin in the middle is actually a Fairy-LIne. So I do have 11 MiniFee girls. (And one boy but he's not in the picture)

Ilya is really beautiful. Her wig suits her very well.

      Dustbunnie

    24. Thanks so much! For both the help and the kind words :D

    25. Aaah! I got my Momo and Ria yesterday!!! :D
I'll post pics later but omg I'm so much in love *3*

And great news is that they were originally 2 orders, so when I sent the receipts and Paypal receipts to them they got confused! they ender up only charger me for one order, which was the cheapest! so I ended up playing only $250 in customs fees :D

    26. That's great news Nii-san_Obsessed. :dance It's the kind of thing we always hope for. Congrats both on your new girls and the less custom payment.

      Dustbunnie

    27. @Nii-san_Obsessed Hahaha, that's awesome!

Here is my Minifee event head with her new eyes that I bought from CandyKittensEmporium on Etsy. She is so cute :)

My Minifee Shushu also arrived. Both girls still need to get faceups and wigs but that will have to wait 'til after I've moved.

    28. @Eiko82, what size eyes did you get from CandyKitten for your MNF? I bought 18mm for both of my SDs and while they are true 18mm they were too big so I've been hesitant to buy more from her even though I love the eyes I got.

    29. I use 12mm candy kittens in all my minifees. But I like the more mature look for mine. Will post pictures on the candy kitten eyes thread in few days, I got 4 pairs now, all 12mm

    30. Hi there :) I've got a question to those who are so lucky to own both types of MNF boy ActiveLine bodies - muscular and normal: isn't the muscular body slightly taller than normal...?

My Auri girl's been dreaming of a boy since like forever now. It's "All I want for Christmas is you" kind of dream ;) I've been digging through tones of MNF boys pics and comparisons that there are in the net - in some of them the normal body seems to be a bit smaller. Is that correct or am I being deceived?

You see, it's crutial to me to know the difference, 'cause Auri's got cutie legs and I want her friend to be as tall as possible to look serious next to her. It's gotta be "oppa" kind of relationship ;)

    31. My boys seem to be the same height, although I would have sworn Alister is slightly taller. I just stood them up back to back and they certainly seem to be the same height

    32. Thank you for your help @Girrl :-) Alister is on the muscular body, I guess...? Am I right the general impression of the muscular body is that it seems to be slightly more massive than the normal one?

    33. Yes, Alister is on the muscular body (this is what happens when I answer stuff in the middle of the night) and yes the muscular body is slightly more massive than the normal one. (clothes are slightly tighter, mostly shirts)

    34. Hello. This is my Jeanne.

    35. She is lovely !

    36. According to Fairyland's measurements:

      Moe Girl 38cm/15"
Aline Boy (muscular and non) 42cm/16.5"
      Moe Boy 41cm/16.3"
      Aline Girl 41cm/16.1"

So if you want the greatest difference in height, an A-line boy with a Moe girl is the most you'd get.

    37. I find that funny in regards to the measurements. My m-line boy is definitely taller looking than my muscular a-line boy just much slimmer. I don't have a normal a-line boy to compare unfortunately but my b-line boy is taller than the a-line.

    38. Weren't the b-line dolls a slight bit taller in general?
I'm sure I've seen people say that even their b line girls are a tiny bit taller.

    39. Fairyland's measurements say the b-line is also 42cm but he definitely looks taller.

On another note, when I was looking for the measurements I saw the announcement for the Winter Event, 30 November is when they are going to take all our money again

    40. Gush, thanks alot guys, this is so puzzled :nowords: But easier with your help ;) I know the FL measurements tables, it's just that... In the photos there seems to be a noticeable difference in hight.

...and - yup! - I've already seen the Winter Event announcement, too :drool Working hard on convincing hubby that I'm in desperate need of another doll :sneaky

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo and the mess. My teens were wanting to slump and slouch and were grouching that I raised them from their sofa. From left to right, Moe (Chloe aka Sonja), Aline Renewal (Mirwen aka Mystery), Aline muscular (Event aka Brandon), Moe (Halloween event aka Leaf).

My muscular boy (Brandon) is much taller than my Moe boy (Leaf). Yes, Brandon's hair is sticking up a bit but you can see where the top of his head is in relation to Leaf's head. My RAline girl (Mystery) is slightly shorter than Leaf and my Moe girl (Sonja) is the shortest. I didn't have a non-muscular aline boy to throw in (yet) but he should be the same height as the muscular aline. I hope this lets people "see" the height difference. If you like, I can undress and de-wig them and take a better snap.

    42. I must say that I'm pretty much convinced to get A-Line muscular body now but maybe someone else could make a good use of @ comparison photo she's willing to take? :) It's so nice of you to be so helpful โ™ก

    43. Wow she is gorgeous! Pretty in pink ^^

    44. TP was declared bankrupt. So they stopped this September, they were no longer a dealer for FL for over 4 years (?) since they didn't like customer service from them

    45. @Dustbunnie your girls are all so beautiful! I have to say you have great taste in wigs! I absolutely love Peta-Lynn's and India's wigs! They look perfect on them.

    46. I love Leaf's wig so much! It's an amazing colour. Where is it from?

      • x 1
    47. I got it from this store on ebay. I think I got a 6-7. My boy probably should have gotten a 7-8 as the one he has a wee bit small.

    48. @alliee ^^ aww many thanks for her <3

    50. Thank you. :) Once I've found the wig I feel is right for a doll it usually keeps it.

She's beautiful and I love her outfit.

She's so beautiful. What mould is she? (I'm very bad at remembering them.)

      Dustbunnie

    51. Everyones dolls are so wonderful! I need to check in more often, I keep missing out!

Here is a quick one of my girl. She's so moody looking... I love it!

    52. I think I'm going to go cross eyed from the stress of the upcoming winter event!!! Mirwen ooor Chloe??? Chloe! No wait... Mirwen! Well duh... Chloe! Or should I pick Mirwen??? Eenie, meenie, miney, MOE! Hmmm moe line or A-line?!?!

Then repeat the whole process with tan, beautiful white, and normal skin...

Although I did hear tan skin won't be available in this ordering period

      This is impossible *_*

    53. WHAT
Where did you hear that? Tan skin is my fave :pout:

    54. I feel your pain @JenniferCatherine I haven't checked for myself but my sister read that this time of year is warmer in Korea, and they can only produce the tan skin during their cooler months because the humidity and heat disrupt the tanning process.

    55. Ah, that would make sense. That's a bummer. Hopefully I'll be safe from the new releases.

    56. @ArtOlli your girls are some of my favorites. They are so sweet and natural. Do you knit their sweaters?

    57. I think she is a FLAM? (correct me if I'm wrong XD)

    58. distbunnie, thank you! It is Flam. :)

rebelle467, oh! Thank you so much! I am very pleased to hear such good words about my dolls!
The sweater I knit. It can be seen, if you follow the link in my signature.

hsifalissa, yes, you are right, it is Flam. :)

    59. Oh no! I was hoping to finally have a tan Tika this ordering period. :-( Im already sotry I missed last event. Darn.
