Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 57

Isn't there any Kais around? I think he's such a great sculpt but there seem to be very few of him. I think he'd be wonderful with a custom face-up. He'd make a great girl too IMO.

Here is my Kai, Ginko. I need to fix his face up but need new sealer before I can do that. He also has his proper white hair now but I don't seem to have picture with it yet.

Thank you everyone for compliments for my boy Jay. He truly is amazing, and SO tiny headed with my bobbly headed pretties which are my other MSD size boys. (LOL) I had some girls from the face up artist too, and here's Hina. ^^ Minifee Sarang.

Thank you both, I do think Kyle would make a nice girl but I am trying to behave.
I have made myself promise no more dolls this year, I have to get all my guys their faceups and the right wigs which is a nightmare and I have started to save for a Chloe but I am just so tempted. I can't seem to stay away from the marketplace, no will power at all, I have 4 boys and 2 girls, that imbalance cannot be allowed to continue
In the meantime here is a photo of my Levi, his eyes arrived but I am not sure what colour wig he needs.

Thank you, yes he is very handsome, he is my latest and unplanned arrival and I adore him.
He is a modded Mika with an AngelToast faceup, I believe she did his mod as well but he has had so many owners the last year it has been hard to track his history.

 

I haven't been in the Minifee loop for a few months since buying a Bimong Dandelion, but I thought I'd drop by and look at everyone's Minifees tonight and oh my they are making me want another one! Minifee love will never end I think!

 

He looks amazing with the mod. I had this feeling I knew the sculpt but I just couldn't get it. Congrats, he's great!

 

Wow, she is gorgeous! I'm always weak for Sarang's, and this girl is just too precious...

I have a question about fairyland skin, I hope you can help me: I own a MNF NF head and I am looking for a body for her, she was casted in 2014. It's being hard to find a body in second hand marketplace and worst if it from 2014, so I though buy a body from Fairyland directly and my question is: is it a highly skin color difference in two years?

@DreamSight I received a body straight from Fairyland to my Yder Elf which was a Valentine event 2013, I can't see any big difference between his head and body colour. You can see some photos from my Flickr (link is in my signature, I seem not able to post links there with the tablet >_> sorry for the inconvenience). There of course can be a difference with colour, since the head is older, but I think that I can't see much difference with my doll. I can of course only talk from my own experience, but would buy a body from FL, a make up can diguise a little differency in the resin colour.

 

@xaya Thank you! your flickr's pictures has helped me a lot! I don't see a clear difference between resin color and the head. I'm pretty sure I will order directly from FL so I can evite problems and I can get the options that I want. Thank you again!

Question - what is minifee average head circumference? 18cm? Or most dolls 19cm? Aka Chloe is 17.5cm and Celine is 18cm (or 19?)?
If i want to make wigs, that fit most of them (can't fit perfect for all ofc), then what sculpt should i use (With what head circumference)?

 

There may be a slight color difference, but most likely not noticeable unless you really look. I have a few dolls that the heads are from a different year than the bodies, and it's hard to see any sort of color difference.

 

The Rheia I posted yesterday is a head from 2013, I think, and a brand new body. It depends on how much sun exposure the head has (I have a Mirwen head from 2012 that was yellowed and needs a color match), but I also have a Nanuri 13 that looks fine on a new body.

She's precious! I love this sculpt.

I just got pics of my daughter's FLAM from AngelToast and I love how she came out, but I'm waiting until she arrives to post here, so I can put her on a body and put her correct eyes and wig on.

Based off of the measurements on the web site, the 2 MNF bodies appear to have different neck sizes. Does anyone know which of the MNF heads have the smallest neck hole size (if any)?

This is such a lovely thread, so many beautiful beautiful girls. I want to get a minifee a girl, but I can't decide. How do you guys decide? I used to have a Chloe and I want to replace her, but their are so many others I love. I'm planning on keeping the fairyland face up, is their a thread with pics of dolls that still have the fairyland face ups?

 

My girl Auri (MNF Chloe) still has got her original FL faceup (with the lashes replaced). You may take a look at my Flickr if you want to :-)

As for me, a Chloe, a Mirwen and a Risse are must-haves speaking of girls and a Mir/Mika for a boy. But it's really just a matter of taste. I'd follow my heart If I were you :-)

 

For the F-line dolls the heads Mir/Mika, Risse and Soony do not fit because they are too small, and officially FL acknowledges that Mir/Mika and Risse don't fit, so I'd guess they have the smallest neck holes.

 

That's what I was thinking also, but didn't know if there were others. I'm looking for a new head sculpt for a Dollmore FMD16 and her neck is 6.5. My MNF ShuShu's neck is way too large, but the head size itself looks fine with the slender body. I'd have to have a BW blushed to match, but I think it might work.

 

I'm going to check out your flicker for sure. It's been about 5 years since I owned my Chloe maybe this just means I have to get two Chloe and Mio. Hahahaha. Thanks for your reply.

Wohooo, after stalking this thread for years and adore all these beautiful Minifees I can finally join in with own pictures. Over one year I saved for a Minifee and kept an eye on the marketplace. In the end of September last year I ordered my Mirwen directly from Fairyland. She arrived incredibly fast after only one month waiting. 3 weeks ago I finally did her face up. I'm still not sure about the wig. It is already her third one... But one day i will find the perfect wig for her

It's such a wonderful feeling - to smell fresh out-of-the-box resin for the very first time I wish you and your girl all the best.
