Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 57

Hi,

I've received a Minifee, Littlefee, Fairy Line and event items in the past few months and had no problems with resin quality on any of them. They were all natural skin and were perfect.

What specific problems are you concerned about?

I bought a fairyline body for Lien earlier this week, and I swapped bodies around! I'm so happy, I love this body so much. I now need to make more clothes for him, now, though, 'cause nothing fits anymore. @A@

@Pannytheangel Maybe you could just alter/take in his clothes. I'd at least give it a try.

It's nice to see a MNF / FL hybrid in here. My Rheia, Olivia, is going to be a hybrid as well.

 

I mean dents when changing parts. Very thin polyurethane, slightly translucent in the sun. The bubbles in the polyurethane. Seams like these

(I know that this is not Minifee, but it looks scary)

 

@albeli I can, but some of the clothes I made weren't that well made to begin with, so I think it'll be better to just remake some things. XD IE pants. Lol. OTL.

But YAS more hybrids please! I can't wait to see your Olivia!

 

Ah yes, I remember this Mari. I haven't seen anything like that in any of my dolls from Fairyland.

The bust pieces on the Fairy Line (off topic to this thread) do have thin resin in the back, but that is because they slip onto another piece that is inside the chest and abdomen. With the two pieces together I have not had any problems.

Oh, if you sewed them all yourself in the first place that would be different. If you had bought them I'd at least try altering the size.

I'm dying for Olivia to ship out. AngelToast ships on Fridays and Mondays, so I'm hoping for shipping tomorrow and getting her next week.

 

@albeli Ya, I make most of my dolls' clothing. There are some pieces I bought, and I haven't quite decided what to do with them yet. The tops are large, but kinda fit like "loose fit" tops. I have one pair of pants I bought and I'm not sure what to do with them. Taking them in will be QUITE a job so I think they might sit in storage for a while. LOL.

And GOOD LUCK with Olivia! Is AngelToast doing her faceup? She's so skilled, I aspire to be as good as her someday. @A@

@Aisineri The Sia I bought off the marketplace is pretty recent (I mean, Sia...) and it's VERY good quality. I haven't checked for resin thinness, but the seamlines are suuuuuuper small and the resin is light and smooth. I was surprised, honestly!

 

@Aisineri I've taken my ns mnf I received yesterday apart to restring and she is perfect. the seams look great, and no resin issues that I could see.

@Pannytheangel Thank you! It's a leekeworld wig in a teal event colour they did a few years ago.

 

I think you may find that dolls with faults are the exception rather than the rule when it comes to Fairyland. I have never had any issues with any of mine and I have quite a few, though none recently. There can be issues with the tan dolls, but they are very open about those.

 

@Pannytheangel Yes, AngelToast did her face up. I posted a pic of her completed face up yesterday.

 

@Aisineri The tan resin from Fairyland is noted to have more irregularities, such as visible seamlines and potential bubbles. I know my tan girl has seamlines and they don't like to sand them much because its super visible. That Mari is terrible and I hope they fixed it but I haven't heard any complaints from anyone who understands the nature of Fairyland tan resin. I have 9 full Fairyland dolls and most are natural skin and I have no issues. If you want to order and are concerned about tan skin order natural or white. They are all lovely.

I was so consumed by the doll corner yesterday, Manon is one of the reasons why:

It's very rare that dolls in this condition get sent out. Plus, the quality problems that has been with Fairyland has mainly been the tan skinned ones. I remember a few years back that the quality had decreased regarding their tan, but it went up again rather quickly and I haven't heard any major problems since. I don't think you need to be too concerned about their quality now.
Than Mari is awful but hopefully an one time incident. All my minifees, from old to quite new are all in amazing quality!
At least, worrying shouldn't keep you from getting one!

@Aisineri being on pretty much every fairyland thread from minifee down to realpukis the general consensus seems to be that fairyland is having trouble with their realfee molds (possibly why the realfee line is temporarily shut down?) since most of the dolls with issues were realfees. problems with other dolls have been minor and usually easily corrected.

@Nikki'sNewObsession manon is gorgeous! are her eyes two different colors? or is that just the lighting?

 

@Loodles Ahhhh I love your beautiful Siean. She will look fabulous in Rendia's FS outfit. And I like her wig too!

I'm expecting three MNF wigs today in the mail, yay! I love trying out different wigs on my girls and have a hard time settling on a look, haha.

Wow ! Indigo is so gorgeous . We don't see much Woosoo girls in tan although this mold is beautiful in that skin color.

I don't have any problems with any of my NS dolls. My tan skinned dolls aren't bad at all, with the exception being my Sia's legs have some pretty deep seam lines, but I expected some seamlines from tan anyway.

I know I told you either on Instagram or Flickr but she is stunning!!!

I sort of finished Clover's wig last night! The weather's been bad and the light in here is horrible to begin with, so unfortunately this is the best photo I've been able to get:



I made some mistakes and ended up ruining a lot of the blonde fiber so I didn't have enough left to properly finish her part, and the shop I bought the fiber from is out of stock in the right color. I was so close, too! It'll be a while until I can fix up the part... until then, she'll be wearing lots of hats.

I did learn a lot from the experience, though. The next wig will be better!

 

Finally gave my Mirwen, Róisín, a faceup! The poor girl arrived just at the start of a doll hiatus two years ago. I'm so proud of her eyebrows, they're the best I've ever done (and give her a bit of a Ruby Rose vibe?)

Gorgeous, and congrats! The Celine sculpt is what made me fall in love with fairyland dolls. I will definitely own one, one day!

 

Does minifees fit TONNER DEJA VU doll clothes? Has anyone tried ? I know they fit ellowyne wilde ones

 

@Belachix, I'm not sure about the Deja Vu clothing, but I know that many of the Ellowyne Wilde and some of the Tyler can.

She has a very gentle expression that I don't see often on Marcias. I love it!

On another note....since getting Lien a new body, I've been debating what to do with his old one. I wanted to sell it, but then I stuck Lien's sleeping head on the old body and....guys I think I somehow ended up with another minifee. @____@

I guess I'm opening the eyes of the sleeping head soon, Lien seems incredibly pleased with his new buddy...

Gorgeous girls! I'm loving her in ts. ( And there's always been something about dreaming marcia that i love.)

 

Deja Vu is very slim and has a smaller body than Ellowyne and Antoinette/Cami, so her clothes would be way too small in the waist and hips and probably the bust.

She looks great! I'm going to use 12mm in my Mirwen.

They're all so beautiful! I love your doll family!

It's been so long since I've had something worthy of sharing that there is a new thread! Shame upon my slowness! Anywho, I finally got my girl's eyes modded more closed, and even though it's not perfect still I think it will work once the weather finally clears enough to motivate me to paint her. plus i got her boyfriend all put together finally! That was a huge pain as well, seeing as how he is a dyed combo of a Souldoll Vito Lester head and legs with a Soom Idealian51 torso. He's even farther from completion than my girl is, but I really wanted to post a photo of them together so here they are, and though the height difference is a bit extreme even for me I still love having both characters together finally since my minifee boys were just too short next to her to be the character, and just as a reminder my girl, who is named Antoinette, is a modded Chloe head on the moe line full bust with minifee arms and hands but a chicline torso and lower body.

I can see my obsession with minifee's is never going to be stopped, I just need one of each sculpt, maybe that will sort me out
