Thank you for clarifying about a-lines having default hook feet. When you said it I had a "Duh" moment because I haven't yet painted/played with the claw-feet, so I didn't even think of them as being the reason my a-line boy came with magnetic feet. I will say I love being able to take off the feet to use (covered in plastic) as inserts in my attempts to make shoes, and it's really great being able to take the feet off when attempting to put on skinny leggings (especially trial versions where I haven't cleaned up the interior hems, so lots of places for potential snags when I'm just trying to verify fit). Now I will have to decide if potential foot stuck in shoe syndrome (something I haven't experienced yet, as I haven't completed any shoe projects yet...) is worth the convenience of rapid change.

Eeek, Tan Skin could end before I order! (why, oh why didn't I order last night!). I plan to order through DDE, as that's my only current way to afford the dolls I want, but they place their orders every Saturday. I was planning to hold off until next Friday ($$, the day of the deposits), especially since I wasn't 100% sure of what I wanted to order. Now I'll order sooner and hope that either a) they won't end the TS event early, or b) even if they end it before next Saturday (When DDE submits its order), I might be early enough in the queue to have the order slip in. Sigh. Yes, freaking out.

Order placed. Tan Skin Cutie-bust, Cutie-leg A-Line Minifee Mir/ka, plus all the non-default hands in tan skin so both the doll to come and my Tika can have options. Crossing my fingers that Tan Skin is still available by the time DDE submits its orders next week. Black Wings for my Tika to look forward to as well, I will just need to figure out some kind of magnetic harness so he can wear them.

that changes my plans too. i was planning to do the same as skybarnes - order on friday for next saturdays order at dde. don't know now whether to order early or just take my chances

 

I don't know whether it holds true for orders placed before FL decides what they're going to do on Monday, I have asked DDE before and they DO place orders during event time outside of the usual Saturday time frame. So whenever FL decides to cancel I believe as long as they don't do it without a days warning, like they post a message saying they will close on Thursday, DDE will place the order that day.

 

Ah, thank you so much! I'll be excited to see the opposite comparison. I would totally not mind sanding a little to make the legs fit, granted it doesnt remove height (since that's why I want them to begin with). Thank you so, so much for your help...!​

 

Heh. I finished restringing the girl Moe body with the boy Moe legs. Here is the picture of girl with boy legs, normal moe girl and boy with girl legs. I will comment more later but the girl with boy legs looks quite good and is very stable. The boy with girl legs is very hard to get to stand.

 

Does anyone have a blank Mir/ka? I need a front view & a 3/4ths view...I'm palnning out my new doll I think they'll dress in pastels/ambiguos clothes

 

Sorry, nothing to post for the requests, but I finished my very first handmade and hand dyed Alpaca wig!!!
Made a few mistakes, but for the first time, I'm so happy with the end result!

Wow Sabriell, your Risse looks amazing! I really like her lip mod, it makes the sculpt alot different. That wig looks gorgious on her, nicely dyed

I was enjoying the sun with Senra and Hanna today, when this happened... Does anyone else have trouble with photobombing pets? The kitty probably wasn't happy we were hogging all the sunlight. He's preying on Sen's feet, few seconds later he was licking them.

Do all Moe mnf come with magnetic ankles? If yes I'm gonna end up with an extra tan pair...meh

Sabriell, your Risse is so lovely! You did a really good job on the wig. I tried making my own .... once ..... LOL

 

That's a shame about the boy with the legs. I was hoping it'd work. Do you think swapping just the cap parts back would help, or would that look odd? Cause to me it looks like the cap part on the boy looks too big for the body, so putting the original cap part might help? Of course the leg might not fit properly.

I really wanted a shorter Moe boy. *sobs* I do like the girl with the Moe boy legs though!
